That's exactly what I'm getting, since I already pickup SuperBad and I'm on my way to buy Harry Potter Order of Phoenix & RE: Trilogy. I'm gonna do return and rebuy SuperBad with the other 2 to get $20 off from RE: Trilogy!

Just came back from BB in Yonkers, NY and Hartsdale, NY. I wanted to get Superbad, Ratatouille, and the Resident Evil Three Pack but I only managed to get 2 out of the 3. Had to substitute Superbad with Pirates 3 so the cashier can't say I needed to purchase 3 seperate Blu Ray movies for the coupon to work. Also picked up Ninja Gaiden Sigma for the PS3.

Used 3 coupons total ($10 off PS3 Game, $5 off Disney Blu Ray, and the $20 coupon) and the total came up to $112.xx. An already awesome haul but I was feeling greedy so I drove down over to the Hartsdale Best Buy which happened to have a lone copy of Superbad. Exchanged Pirates 3 for it and I got myself a great weekend to look forward to.

Many thanks for the OP and the poster that directed me to the $5 coupon off Disney Blu Rays. Saved me just about $30 today :D

Whoops. Thinking HD. Ignore me.

Woohoo, finally was able to use the coupon. Ended up getting:

Superbad
POTC: AWE
Stargate ($17.99)

The guy ended up just taking $20 off the final price (ended up paying $42.xx) because he couldn't get the coupon to work. Guess this makes up for me not being able to use it on RE Trilogy, Shoot Em Up, & Die Hard 4.

I was in those BB yesterday and they didnt have any superbad or POTC! damn they must've restocked last night. I couldnt find any blu-rays that were on sale in any BB!

Got this coupon to work on the RE Trilogy alone. Cashier was a sup and she hesitated at 1st, but I explained that I was only looking for the original RE, which they were OOS, she adjusted the price by 20. Thanks, OP!

BTW, yesterday I used the coupon on RE Extinction, Shoot 'Em Up and Superbad. I went to return Extinction without any problems! I still kept Shoot 'Em Up @ 9.99!

My BB restocked yesterday. They had no copies of Superbad on the shelves. I had to ask customer service, who got a guy to check in the back for me. :bouncy:

Same here I could not find a single 19.99 BD except for Casino Royale. Also it seems like Planet Earth is completely gone at every BB around SoCal except for the Burbank store. Damn you Blu-Ray why must you be so popular?!

Price matching is your friend. :D After telling a buddy of mine of my haul, he immediately went to the same BB stores and was only able to find the Resident Evil Three Pack. He managed to convince the cashier to accept the 20 buck off coupon from the RE Pack, then grabbed an ad circular and went off to The City Center at White Plains. He said he looked throughout the Circuit City but the HD shelves were all disorganized and did not find Superbad or POTC. He then went to the Walmart across the street as a final ditch effort and voila, price matched both with some slight resistance from the Customer Service people.

I should have told him to check out the Sears inside the Galleria Mall since they PM'ed for 110% the price.

Hope you find the Blu Rays you're looking for!

Went and got:

Harry Potter OFTP $24.95
Ratatouille $19.99
Spiderman 3 $19.99

Cashier couldn't get the $20 off coupon to scan and had to manually punch it in and took $20 off HP and with $15 in RZ cred, total came out to $31 and change. Nice price for 3 Blu rays

Yea I might have to go the price matching route, BB in queens didnt have any of the blu-rays on sale that I was looking for neither. I dont think I've ever seen superbad in BB now that I think of it. I'm surprised POTC is sold out everywhere.

I am pretty annoyed right now, all I wanted to do was pick up Superbad, Ratatouille, and 300 with this coupon, since the first 2 are on sale this week. Well of course since last Sunday, no Best Buy in a 20 mile radius from me has had Superbad in stock, which is ridiculous. Dont have a sale if you cant supply enough stock. Its not that everyone bought Superbad last Sunday morning either, it hasnt been in stock at either for weeks.

Ridiculous, and of course I tried to PM at CC for Superbad, but they just called Best Buy, saw it wasnt in stock there, and denied the PM.

Just a little venting. I know I can order it off the website, but who wants to wait 2 weeks when I have 2 best buys within 10 minutes of my house.

I can relate - my store hasn't had PotC3 in all week, but every other store in the state has it. I could order online, but I wanted to use that Disney $5 off coupon. I could pricematch, but I also have reward zone certs. to use.

What sucks is, I smell a rat. They had CoD4 out of stock all of the second half of last week. Then it magically came back in stock last Sunday, the day the sale ended. I'm sure it arrived on their super-secret weekend shipment.

Huge YMMV on this one. I got the $20 RZ coupon, the $10 off PotC: At World's End, and the $5 off Disney coupon all to work in 1 transaction.

Picked up:

PotC: At World's End 19.99
Ratatouille 19.99
Saw III 9.99 (after $20 off)

subtract $10 mfg. coupon
subtract $5 mfg. coupon

Total was 38.84.

I explained when I got to the counter that I didn't know if all 3 would work and if not, I'd just pick up the first 2 Disney Blu-ray discs. She couldn't get anything to scan and then she said, well let me try it. Typed in the SKU for the RZ coupon, it came up, then manually added the $10 mfg. coupon and $5 mfg. coupon.

Thanks OP and the rest of the CAGs for all the coupon links...

Went to pick up HP: OOTP, Ratatouille and POTC: AWE with the $20 coupon. If it worked, I'd take back the copy I picked up from Target of POTC and bring back my $15 copy of Ratatouille from earlier in the week from BB.

I was thinking that the coupon would knock off $20 across the whole transaction, dropping the price of everything down by $6.67. However, it knocked $20 off HP, taking it down to $4.99.

Needless to say, I returned POTC and Ratatouille immediately. HP: OOTP for $4.99, thank you very much. :D

I was wondering about that when I looked at my receipt today. I picked up Die Hard 4, Ratatouille, and Spider-man 3 and they just took $20 off Die Hard 4 (as it was $24.99) and it rang up at $4.99.

So they let you return the other two blu-rays and credited you back $40 with no problems? Sweet deal. Looks like I'll be returning tomorrow too.

They didn't even blink.

I was going to try to get it to work on just the Resident Evil set...but honestly I'm not that big of a fan of those movies. When I got there, I saw they had Replacement Killers for $20 (which I didn't realize was on blu-ray), so I grabbed that + War + Ocean's $13. After the $20 off + $10 of reward zone certs, my total was just over $40. Not too bad.

BTW, where is this $10 off Pirates coupon?
has anyone used this coupon twice?
I have, at different locations. Like all other Best Buy coupons I've used, I haven't had any problems using more than once. It's not like it's linked to your RZ account for single use, like an RZ certificate would be.

No War, No RE: Sets (or Extinction), No Superbad.

I did manage to find the new Pirates of the Carribean, the Departed, and the new Die Hard however and use this coupon. I can't believe they were out of so many new releases.

There you go!

Pirates 3 is sold out everywhere and so was 300 in my area within 20 miles.

I got Casino Royal, Die Hard 4, and The Departed.

WHOO!

Just a heads up to anyone wanting a single cheap blu-ray. The way this coupon works is by taking a discount from just one movie, the most expensive of the three you are buying. All you have to do is buy 3 movies and simply return the 2 you don't want, and all of a sudden you got 20 bucks off of one movie!

I am about to attempt to return mine, but it has been confirmed as working for other people over on avs forums, so it should work at every best buy.

Good call.

I got turned down using the $20 off coupon on 3 titles that are on sale today for $14.99 each so I grabbed the Simpsons and 2 random titles that I will return in a few days.

The key is that it must be priced over $20....duh, yeah I know, but in case some missed it ;)
But yeah, that worked for me last Friday on Shoot 'Em up; got it for $9.99

Does the trick work with the newest version of the coupon?

I just used the coupon on a couple of $14.99 titles, and what they did was divide $20 off by 3 ($6.67), then subtracted that amount to each title, so they all came out to be $8.66.

Is it because this coupon wasn't in their system yet, and required a manual adjustment?

Isn't this kind of behavior the type of thing CAGers try to avoid? A little unethical IMO.

Actually i think you got lucky!
#'s that they manually type in is exactly same as older coupon (one thats goes up to 7th)

Coupon worked without any problem.
Got 3 for 37 otd.
2 of 14.99 and 24.99 blu ray. :)
Isn't this kind of behavior the type of thing CAGers try to avoid? A little unethical IMO.
I would have avoided it, but since they said Resident Evil trilogy didn't count as 3 movies (even though they are technically 3 different movies with 3 different packages bundled in one and the coupon says nothing about a box set being 1 product as opposed to the 3 blu-ray disc movies included in one box) I scrambled and picked up War and Shoot Em Up.

I ended up only returning War (after hearing how abismal is is supposedly) and still have RE trilogy and Shoot Em Up. I was mentioning this process because whether it is unethical or not is really up to the end user. If you think this is unethical, don't look at anyone using the Pirates coupon in copied/printout form because that is not allowed and people are taking advantage of cashiers who don't read the fine print. Also don't read about the people who use the $5 Disney Coupons more than once since it says on the coupon itself that using more than one constitutes fraud.

No man...I'm sorry but you are recommending (well..take that how you will) that people try to take advantage of a potential flaw in best buy's return system. This is BLATANTLY ripping off an otherwise NICE offer from Best Buy. This type of action jeopardizes future deals, and can also cause employees/management to watch out for ANY similar returns/exchanges. I can tell you personally from working in retail, as soon as people start doing these types of things, we WATCH for them to happen. That is not to say that anything bad will necessarily happen, but it makes retailers be extremely cautious in offering/honoring future deals. Remember, retailers have the right to refuse any sale they so choose.

Not only that, but they reserve the right to cancel such deals.

I understand that you consider this unethical and that it could jeaporadize the existance of coupons much like Best Buy quit Mail In Rebates. If you believe it is unethical, then I have a simple suggestion for you.

Don't "take advantage" of Best Buy by using it!

Again, I "recommended it" (as you put it) simply because I had read about it elsewhere and thought it would be of interest for other CAGers to know. I personally like to know all of my options before I buy something. If we wanted to talk unethical we could talk downloading, burning copies, and other copyright infringing deals. I know those methods exist (and blu-ray was cracked a LOOOOOOOONNNNNNGGGGG time ago) but I still own over 80 HDM discs (blu-ray and HD-DVD combined) many of which were purchased at Best Buy at their overpriced normal rate.

In the end, as you said, Best Buy could always deny the sale/return and would have the ability and right to do so. Were it a flaw in the return system, I think it would have done something so little as thrown up a flag that the coupon was tied to the purchase and not all the items, but by all means, take it as you want to.

In the end, I'm not holding a gun to anyone's head and saying "OMG! TAKZORZ BB PROFETZ by UZIN DUR CUPONS AND RTURRN DEM!". I was simply putting it out there that it worked and it is up to the discretion of other CAGers whether they do it or not. While I can understand where you might conceive the notion that it is unethical, I left it up to others to decide. I hope you are happy that I have "recommended it" and now am recommending to not if you don't want to, now I've fit myself to everyone's beliefs :)

You can't always choose your battles, but I have chosen to end ours here. Continue on if you will, it will be a one way dispute. Have a great day :)

Went to BB yesterday and noticed they had a bunch of $14.99 Blurays, so I ran over to Office Depot next door and printed out this coupon again for .$89!

Got:

Training Day
Goodfellas
Layer Cake

for $32 with $5 reward zone certificate and this coupon. Pretty sweet!

I tried to get Goodfellas, Training Day, and Beerfest. Had them scan the RZ card first thing, then the coupon, then the 3 movies, but no luck. She said the sale prices counted as another offer, might try again tomorrow.

That's really odd because the computer automatically popped up one of those boxes that asks if they want to apply the discount. I wonder if it has to do with the fact that I bought a $24.99 movie with the two $14.99 movies?

Went today and the manager had to override the prices by hand. I got:

Blazing Saddles
Superman II
Corpse Bride

Total: $26.72 with the tax.
