You gotta be messing with me. Um dood, you're outta a job. Maybe.

So, the typically overpriced $49 game at KB Toys which is seling for $29 everywhere else is only $39 at the KB sale with 20% off. COOL!

Well if you can get your hands on a ps2, which they wont have, you could get it for $143.99 (which you won't)
Game cube would be $80...
Good luck

So the only good deals would be 20% off the systems which are the same price at kb then other stores.

I doubt youll find anything else worth buying . And most people here already have their game console bought too.

Otherwise im sure gamecubes,ps2s and xbx,s will be flying off the shelves.

My KB had unopened factory sealed Genesis and SNES games when they were doing their closing sale.. I got Vectorman 2, Desert Strike, Beavis and Butthead, and.. some SNES NHL game (I forget which year), for $3.75 a pop, factory sealed.

Oh, and Eye of the Beholder for GBA at $9.80.

ok did every fucking person in this thread not notice the other thread about all the KB toy stores closing!?!

also notice how the thread is over a month old

This sale isn't a store-closing sale, but way to go on making yourself look like an ass by insulting everyone.

Does this sale apply to store-closing sales as well? Can anyone confirm that, because an extra 20% off the 30% at the closing stores would be a great deal.

Afraid not:

I called up the local KB store and they said it doesn't apply to consoles. I said it says EVERYTHING and they said read the fine print, I said only gift cards are excluded, he said well video games consoles are excluded. YMMV on consoles.

Maybe bring the print out of the page with you if you plan to try to get a console. It may not help but if you have something to show them maybe you stand a better chance of getting the deal to work on a console.

Guys I just got back from work and talked to the DM. Videogame Systems are included in this nation wide sale. However, most stores are out of stock of most systems.

Ok I guess the fool I was talking to on the phone didn't know what he was talking about. He said they only had red GBA SPs anyway and that's the worst color IMO. So I guess I won't be buying anything.

Let's try and keep this within CAG only. I haven't seen a topic about this at VG Talk nor anywhere else. This is a very good deal for certian items that I'm looking for.

OK, I'm asking a dumb ass question--as opposed to a cheap ass question: would it be worth $140 to get a second Xbox and link them together for games like Ghost Recon, etc. ? Two boxes, two TVs, two copies of the game? Am I missing anything.

actually I was trying to think of how many games would effectively link up this way? I suppose I can rule out all sports--football, basketball, which I tend to play--and that leaves, for me, FPS games. Hmmm.

My KB has been through this and all ready closed down - they only offered 30% off games.

However, the OTHER KB in town is offering 30% as well, though recently hiked to an even higher 40% off. I assume they will hit 50% before everything is gone.

This is in Tallahassee, Florida, by the way.

This is really only worthwhile if there is a $50 game that you absolutely have to have (you get $5 more off than at Best Buy with the GGC) or are lucky enough to get a console at 20% off.

Yeah I don't know if the store near me will do it. There are 2 in Delaware that I know of that are core KB stores. Since lack of sales tax I think they do good because people come down here to buy stuff.

On an interesting note, KBtoys.com is taking pre-orders on GTA:San Adreas... a game not scheduled to be out till October... I thought they were not really going to be in the game by then.

I think KBToys was going to shut down for a while now, drop by one of the local store several weeks ago, they were already on sale on lots of stuff. not much games left, let alone console. The only console i saw was PS One. Good luck on finding any good stuff.

none of my kb's have any consoles..i think they must be holding em in the bakc or something...
ins't it odd the day fo a big sale, they are magically "sold out" of ALL consoles?

Well I'm a little angry. I called the 10 kbs within 10 miles of me and not one of them had any Xboxes. Of course they all have Gamecube, PS2, and Gameboy SP though. O well I gues ill have to wait for the "price drop"

I caled every KB within a 60 mile radius of Los Angeles and not a single one had an xbox...some even said they have had any since xmas!
It's all an evil plan to lure you in to buy their expensive games...

Does anybody know of any good deals in NYC? I live in the bronx and there is nothing good going on here. Please advise of any good deals in NYC, Bronx, Yonkers etc. Will greatly apreciate it!!!
good deal is COnsole system ;)
Masterkyo, I see we joined the same day. Coincidence I posted right sfter you! Dont have nearly as many posts as you do! Keep up the good work!

I just got back, I got a Platinum GBA SP for $79.99, a GameBoy player for $39.99 (what I wanted most), I also got Ninja Gaiden for $39.99 (not bad IMO), and FF X-2 for $39.99 (I know it will eventually get greatest hits status but I ain't waiting that long. All in all, not too shabby.

damn i called kb toys in redondo beach area any those fools said the same consoles not part of deal
