2001: A Last Movie You Saw Odyssey
Watched The Game for the first time since I saw it in the theater. Still pretty damn good
I haven't seen that one in ... 4 years? Good shit.

Overall pretty good movie IMO. Dont understand why it caught alot of flack though.
It always breaks my heart when I watch a movie that I know could have been really good if only it had been executed a little better.

Not a movie, but just finished watching Lost S1, first time seen it since the original broadcast and I found all kinds of extra little touches. Like Hurley on the television at the Japanesse Economic minister's house, Sawyer being dragged in while Jack is talking to an officer at the police station, or the subtle indication of the origin of Hurley's numbers.

If you didn't devote your full attention to the television screen when watching the original broadcast, I recommend a second closer viewing, you'll catch so many things you missed.

Green Street aka Hooligans

Elijah Wood isn't too bad in this movie... the movie itself... hmmm, I'm unsure what to think. I'm gonna watch it again. And for the record, Claire Forlani is still a hottie.

Saw last night:

Bookies (2003) with Lukas Haas and Nick Stahl was better than I expected.

Rounders (1998) with Matt Damon first time I actually watched all the way from beginning to end. Great Poker movie.

In recognition of today, I be watchin' Pirates of the Caribbean today! And any scalawags be talkin' 'bout me spellin' will have a taste o' me scabbard! AAAAAaaaaRRRRR!!!!

The Red Shoes

Eh, didn't really care for it. The ballet sequence was excellent, but the rest of the movie was, well, quite frankly, dull. I'm not sure if it was becaues the plot seemed kinda weak, or that it seemed too long and drawn out, but I just couldn't get into the movie, be interested by the characters or story at all. It looks good, and the acting was fine, but it was just missing a spark.

Red Eye

I saw it on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. It’s fairly simple to figure out the core plot if you’re present/conscious for the first ten minutes of the film, but it’s short and well-paced. Not bad for a matinee on a lazy afternoon.

Lord of the Flies

1963 version. A disappointing adaptation, it's fairly decent, but creaky and problematic, both as a film and as an adaptation.
Anchorman. One of the worst attempts at comedy since Cabin Boy. I had to turn it off it was so stupid.
I'm glad I wasn't the only one who had that reaction.
The Yes Men ...it was a documentary when the box seemingly posed as a comedy
Yeah and it would've been better too if it just focused on it's subjects rather than it's subject's agendas.

Still, 6/10. Worth a rental.

second that.

The Constant Gardener

Really good film. I liked the way that it turned into an unexpected thriller, if you haven't paid attention to the advertising much. Gave it kind of a New Wave feel.

Kontroll

Very very good film from a few years ago, made in Hungary. Really stylish and entertaining with energy to spare. Recommended viewing.

The only high point of the movie was when Jack Black drop kicked the dog ... "That's how I roll".

Inspector Gadget's Biggest Caper Ever - shit/5

A good way to ruin my childhood memories. Bernie Mac please die now or go back to being funny.

I just saw Waiting, the new film with Ryan Reynolds.

It's pretty decent. If you aren't a fan of raunchy low brow humor you will hate it, but if you are a fan you will love it.

For example, the gag that runs throughout the movie, and its deepest metaphor is about a game in which guys get other guys to look at their dick or balls, call them a fag, and then kick them in the ass.

The suckfest known as Flight Plan. (Only good thing is that I saw it for free because I got free pass for it.) It is like watching Panic Room (the last Jodie Foster movie to come out) on an airplane.
