I appreciate your opinions in the football thread.. you need to realize we aren't your co workers in Erie.. and stop treating us like it..
Then put me on your ignore list.
That's not necessary.

By the way Matt, you are now a Steelers fan since you disagree with pimpinc. Welcome aboard ;)
of course I disagree.. I don't like to see McGahee go down like that.. but Clark lead with his shoulder... McGahee brought his head down.. you need to stop trolling on the Steelers and worry more about Tony Romo's off-season escapades with Jessica Simpson.. you are one classy person..
I'm the classy one  I troll on the Steelers and you troll on the Cowboys every chance you get.

Yeah, I can't stand the Steelers either (lifelong Browns fan, we're taught at a young age to despise anything black and yellow), but the hit looked fair. Clark turned away from the helmet to helmet hit, but things happen and it's unfortunate that Willis took the brunt of it. After seeing how shook up Clark was after the hit, I can't think it was intentional.

I laugh at the flop on the punt or Sweed's "ow, my ribs" missed catch. Go Cardinals.

Erie? Who lives in Erie? Dude doesn't know what he is talking about? That's hard to believe...
HaHa. I love it. Steelers fans getting bent out of shape and I caused it. Who knew ;)
Just admit you were wrong man...You don't have to go pulling that card.

It's all good

No seriously. This is just what I do. Like to see you lil Steelers fans all riled up. It honestly makes me laugh. Shit is great

Ask DJ Steel. I fuck with him every year.
I hope Warner and Fitzgerald tear apart the Pittsburgh secondary.
With two weeks until the Super Bowl, they have a chance for Boldin to get as close to 100% as possible and be a bigger factor than he was this week, which was none really.

If you enjoy being obtuse, then by all means have your fun.

The rest of us will be discussing football.

wow, we had a hell of a season atleast, with a rookie qb at that to bad that helmet 2 helmet got called a legit hit dude definately lead with his helmet. hopefully mcgahee is allright (thats really all that matters now the game is over). i hope the card's win the sb.

How do you say Boldin wasn't a factor? He took attention away from Fitzgerald. IMO Fitz had a great game due to Boldin being on the field. If Boldin didn't play they would have doubled Fitz a ton more.

I'm not arguing the legality of the hit. It just seems to me that these sort of things (not crippling hits, but controversy in general) seem to happen with Pitt more than other teams. And that's not "hatin on the Steelers" or anything, it's just an observance.

And I almost always cheer for the NFC team in the Super Bowl, unless it's the Packers. :p

Awesome. Thanks for your approval to be myself. I really appreciate that.

So any word on Wards injury? Keep me updated on this. I bet he's pulling a Big Ben type of injury. You know. The small injury that really doesn't exist but Ben throws it way outta proportion and makes it seem worse then it is. He the NFL's biggest baby.

:applause: I agree with this guy. It seems to happen a lot more where the Steelers are the ones doing the controversial hits.

I thought that title went to Mr. Owens down in Dallas?

Nice try

TO's the biggest bitch ( complains a lot ) in the NFL. There's a difference :D

He's more of a factor when he's involved in the offense and catching passes to make this a two-headed monster in the receiving core. Being used as just a decoy isn't all he's good for.
lmao.. make sure you tell jerry jones that Michael Vick goes to house arrest soon so he will be available to play...
Speaking of Vick... did the Falcons ever officially release him? And did they get all that bonus money back? And where is his brother, Marcus, I believe? Is he still in the NFL or has he been arrested as well?
lmao.. make sure you tell jerry jones that Michael Vick goes to house arrest soon so he will be available to play...

Honestly? Jerry Jones is already salivating think about the possibility of Vick. Hell I'd take Vick if that meant Romo not playing anymore :D

True but it really did work. 4 catches for 38 yards isn't too shabby when just being a decoy.

I dunno how the Steelers will handle Fitz and Boldin in the Super Bowl. I don't think anyone from the Steelers can cover either of them. It shoudl be a really good game but i'll be pulling the Cards for obvious reasons...

Marcus lasted like 1-2 seasons with the Dolphins years back and never really did anything. I only remember him returning punts in preseason games.

Vick is not welcome back to the Falcons from what Arthur Blank ( ? ) said when he got convicted. I still think he needs to pay some kind of money back to the Falcons as well.
So since the Cardinals won the NFC does that mean the NFC sucks that much?
Yet there are more teams that have never been to the big game in the AFC? Odd.

Wow. The Cardinals? Seriously?

Don't watch football anymore since 6+ years ago when I had to work every Sunday, but this really takes the cake. Even more surprising then the Tampa Bay Rays going to the World Series IMHO.

Hopefully the Cardinals win unlike the Rays.

lol. That was stupid by Sweed. Hope the steeler's coach gives him some shit for it.
I don't believe the NFC is weaker this season... seems pretty balanced to me..
Agreed. Seems like everything was pretty balanced unlike that past couple of seasons in which the AFC was clearly more dominant.

Lots of Steelers haters... they must be doing something right then... funny how all I read last week from most people predicting the Super Bowl was Baltimore and Arizona... over and over... mainly from the same people who hate the steelers... Personally Baltimore might be the only team I strongly dislike (dislike the Pats, but I respect them as an organization and team)... but even the unintentional injury to McGahee had me concerned, I hate so see ANYONE hurt...to wish stupid crap on a player like a torn ACL or some crap like that is just plain unclassy... grow up

Lifelong Steelers fan, even through the 25 year drought between 4th and 5th titles... I like the way the team is run... how they buck tradition and expectations when hiring coaches... although looks like either Tomlin or Whisenhunt would have been excellent choices looking how both have worked out

Well, my dream came true.

I'm genetically predisposed to hate the Steelers. My parents are both from Cleveland. Still, it was an exciting game. I hope old man Warner can pull it out in the Super Bowl.

Shame the Eagles lost. I'll be rooting for the Cardinals.

Also, with that ridiculous hit in the Steelers/Ravens game, it was clear he went to lead with his shoulder. I don't see how you can't make that out by watching a replay.

Fitzgerald is literally one of the best recievers in the league. He just amazes me when he plays. When he made that jump catch in the Carolina Game, I was dumbfounded. Fitz Coupled with Warner is just a great match-up. I still remember when St. Louis had the powerhouse. Warner, Bruce + Holt.

Wow just watched both dvr'ed games. And they were as close as they come.

First things first. Holy Christ I never noticed how much bullshit is shown during NFL games, I swear I spent more time fast forwarding than actually watching the game. Same 8 tv ad's 250 god damn times..NO ONE IS BUYING YOUR fucking CAR RIGHT NOW and I think we got it, you want us to drink more beer, fine.

Anyway. That feared eagles defense didnt do shit today. I dont know if I would say McNabb choked because although he struggled at the beginning he came back towards the end and really got his team in postion. The defense was giving all kinds of huge ass plays. For all the blitzing they do it seemed they couldnt even rattle Warner for more than that one couple of series. I think their offense needs to be a bit more creative, they got way to dependent on just throwing the ball around and using draws. Just seemed like they were trying to hard to force the passing game without letting the run game come first.

Defense was just getting torn apart.

As for that steelers game. Can anyone doubt that Big Ben is one of the top 5 QB in the league as for as skill is concern? He makes the craziest ass plays I have ever seen, throwing off his back foot, front foot, side foot, sideways, backwards. He also can exstend plays well past any other QB I have seen.

Also that is the type of game I love, hard hitting and if you dont go hard get ready to get knocked the *%*&$ out. I think that was a pretty legal hit put on by clark. He even seemed to be trying to turn his body and lead with the shoulder it just was unlucky that their helmets hit.

I am happy with the superbowl both teams derseve to be where they are.

Fitzgerald is the best WR in the league right now, bar none. The way he has taken over in the playoffs has been staggering.

I cannot believe I am finally seeing the Cardinals in the playoffs. I am dumbfounded.

I figured the Steelers would make it once Tom Brady went down, but I didn't even think Arizona would make it out of the wild card round. I'm hoping the Cardinals win just for the sheer shock value of seeing the Arizona fucking Cardinals as Super Bowl champions.

Better they show commercials than those 2 minute long awkward in-the-booth shots of Aikman and Buck on Fox, with the game audio in the background. I'd almost rather listen to Madden blabber on at this point than Buck.

I think you could make a case for Andre Johnson.

I have been a Steelers fan all my life (and a co-season ticket holder for the last 10 years) but feel it would be jusified for the Cards to win just to prove that Ken Whisenhunt or Russ Grimm would have been a better choice as a head coach over Mike Tomlin. I can not stand Tomlin I think he was hired by the Steelers because they painted themselves in a corner with their so called "Rooney Rule". I don't think he was qualified to be a head coach as of yet, and watching him on the sidelines during the games he seems to do next to nothing. Also they needed to hire a offensive minded coach like Whisenhunt and not one with a defensive background like Tomlin as long as the Steelers were going to keep their defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau in place.
Don't worry. The media will be saying that the Cards have no chance like they did before the Carolina game.
I hate when they do that.. of course they have a chance... they are in the SB...
I think you could make a case for Andre Johnson.
He's 2nd. No one can compete with Fitz. That dude really turned it on towards the end of the year. He's a beats and no one can cover him. Even the DB's in Philly ( Which I think Philly has one of the best secondaries in the NFL ).

I would also like to apologize to DJ Steel and Primetime ( or any other Steeler fan ) I may have offended yesterday. I was a little bitter about everything. But yea, they deserve to be in the Super Bowl. Their Defense is really good.

I am hoping for a great SB. I actually think the Steelers will win this game due to their defense. I am really looking forward to seeing what the Cards offense can do against the Steelers D. Big Ben just needs to have a decent game. He can't play like he did in his last Super Bowl apperance. I'm sure the running game will be there for Parker as well.

The key for the Steelers to win IMO is that their D just needs to play like it has played all season. Stop the run. Defend against the pass. And play better special teams.

The key for the Cards to win IMO is they need to try and establish a running game. I doubt they will run against the Steelers any who but they can't just give up on it either. Protecting Warner and giving him time to throw. The Eagles proven if you rush or rattle Warner he will just fold. Need to pressure Big Ben on defense. Their Defense needs to show up like it did for most of the playoffs.

Post your Keys of Victory for each team if you'd like, anybody.

I'm also a lifelong Steelers fan, and as much as I would love the Steelers to win, the Cards are definitely an equally deserving team, especially with how their defense has come around in the playoffs.

The key to the game though will be how Troy Polamalu and the rest of the Steelers secondary deal with the Cards recievers. The Steelers also have to be wary of James/Hightower as Hightower in particular got in some good plays on the Eagles D

I can't say i'd be happy if the Steelers lost, but I can at least say that the Cardinals are deserving Super Bowl Champions
