Well I hope that momentum dies instantly for the sake of my prediction. Anywho it's fun to see the playoffs open with some first game surprises. I'm excited for the NBC games.
Almost forgot to post this. Ouchy. Glad he got up. Oh and someone tell the dumbshit in the penalty box to close the latch.

Being at the game last night and seeing it at full speed and knowing about 1-2 seconds before the hit that it was going to be bad I thought Sutton should have been given a major and a misconduct and been done for the game. But now seeing it in slow-mo and in highdef I still think he should have been given a minor for charging because he lined him up and took a good 3-4 hard strides before he coasted in for the hit. Plus he knew Leopold had no place to go to avoid the hit because he was stuck between the boards and the other Sens playing who was trying to engage him also. Also I think the league needs to look at it because it looks like Sutton is trying to leave his feet to make the hit even more brutal. And even though they let Nick Kromwell from the Wings leave his feet for every hit hes ever made in the league and get away with it. I thought it was supposed to be a penalty at least against everybody else.

Oh shut the hell up. That was a clean hit, JUST like Kronwall's hit against Havlat was clean last year.

That's the Kronwall hit on Havlat that he received a game misconduct for last year. Highlight reel CLEAN hit that people got all butthurt about because Havlat didn't have his head up.

Leopold got taken off the puck, and got rocked in the process. Next time he might keep his head up instead of turning away from Sutton when he's about to finish a hit.

For every one hit you show me with his feet on the ground I can show you five with them off.
I didn't see anything wrong with that hit especially under the new rules.
No there nothing wrong with the hit like I said in my first post about it. But seeing it at full speed being at the game you could tell it was coming from across the arena. I thought it was dirty at first but seeing it again and again the only thing I found wrong with it is it could have been called a charge since Sutton lined him up from across the ice and went after the hit and was clearly leaving his feet.

Forget the clean hit, WTF is wrong with you guys and keeping the doors closed at that arena. Geez. lol

LMAO!

Yeah, Nappy is gone regardless of this seasons outcome.

Buffalo WTF, were you guys doing...?

Edit: Chicago, really? REALLY? Did you just really drape of all things a big ass Toyota logo across the glass??? I'd be fucking pissed, PISSED.

Please do!

^ouch. Can't believe they made up all those goals and are now in OT. When I left for work it was 4-2.

lol, those looked like he had bad form more than anything else. Besides... like u should talk Mr. Cooke.

I'm serious. The 3 Playoff series he's coached the Caps have all gone 7 games and he's 1-2 in those series. The 1 win was by the skin of our teeth.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Overtime again. They need to stop paying off these refs. My medical bills will be very high at the end of round 1 if this keeps up.

fuck yeah! The Kings came back from an 0-2 deficit to win 3-2 in OT. Great game. Well, half of it, anyway. The Kings allowed 2 goals on 4 shots in the 1st period and didn't play too well for the first half of the game. Then, shortly past the halfway mark, they scored 2 goals within 35 seconds of each other and it remained tied through the rest of regulation.

It's a shame they couldn't win Thursday. They were one shot away, and they'd now be up 2-0 in the series. As it stands, it's tied at 1 game a piece heading back to LA for games 3 and 4.

Still a better percentage than Theo.

Non playoff but info for Wings fans. Rumor has it Yuri Hudler will be released by Moscow Dynamo and will rejoin the Wings next season.

I remember Paul Coffey did something very much like that. He was playing for the Wings and it was the playoffs. It wasn't OT though.

Yeah, that was way back in 96 and then the Wings lost that series to the eventual cup winning AVs...

Damn, the AVs better not do that again this year.

i was watching the post game show after and boyle was really beat up about it. he had bloody knuckles on one hand, so he was punching something. and the reporters asking him questions were getting no answers, two word answers. if the sharks can bounce back and win game 4, and boyle in particular does well, then i think the sharks might be in good shape, but if they lose, well its time to think of a catchy name for the curse.
I'm not gay, but I think I'm in love with Nik Backstrom. And Wotjek Wolski. (Colorado fucked up, man).
that trade still makes me scratch my head

If the Sharks lose in the first round, does the local mob kill the player who scored on his own goal like what happened to Andres Escobar after the 1994 World Cup?
