And that penalty shot was fucking BULLSHIT.
I didn't think so. Erat was primed to score, but that hook erased the opportunity. He might not have scored if Niemi didn't crumple into a ball and leave 3/4th of the net wide open :D
Go Preds:applause::applause:

Buffalo needs to get a defenseman in the off-season if they hope to compete for a Cup. Or just trade Miller to the Caps and rebuild from scratch.

Screw that. Give him to Detroit. We'd be untouchable.
I'm very happy the Caps won, especially after the abysmal second period. It's a good thing we have more shorthanded goals than power play goals this series.
This whole series has been frustrating as hell for myself on the other side of camp.

Here we go Bruins, here we go!

Was at the game tonight, place was so loud that TV didn't do it any justice. Felt like the building was going to come down.

In 2006 every higher seed in the West lost in the first round. CBC mentioned this a couple nights back.

so that was 4 upsets or were there some in the east? i probably could look it up.

right now there are 3 series with the low seed a game away and 3 more series with the low seed tied. so thatd be 6 of 8, which would be pretty wild.

I'll be the first to admit I wrote my Bruins off during the regular season. This looks like a completely different team. We look like we could do some serious damage in the East.

TUUUUUUUKKKKKKKKAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Man, if the Canucks end up winning against the Kings, the turning point of the series is going to be when Henrik Sedin, one of our so called "soft" players faught off 4 Kings jabbing at him with their sticks and kept the puck in the offensive zone at the end of the game.

That was ridiculous, and precisely the kind of play that wins you series. This year's playoffs has been so great, can't wait to see how things play out tonight!
go man go
fuck. My neighbor already sold his tickets. Oh, well. Money saved will go towards a new laptop or pc components.
Oh man, why oh why is the NFL Draft on tonight? Couldn't they wait till tomorrow? Draft+Preds Game = confusion.
i feel ya man, i feel ya

Let me help you.
A bunch of guys will get picked and go on to have productive careers and couple will go to the Lions and be doomed for life.;)

That was pretty ridiculous. I see my boy Sammy is playing his ass off.

Well the nice thing about being a Vikings fan is that they probably won't pick till around 10:30...
My friend who's coming tonight also bet me $10 that the first round will only last an hour :)D:D) so at least I'll be $10 richer.
I wish I had a laptop so I could stream the draft live while watching the Preds game...
I also wish the Preds game was at 10:30 so I could watch most of the Draft, but its on at 8:30, which helps absolutely nobody.

Whatever, I'll just flip frantically between the 2, hopefully the Vikings can make some magic and get Jimmy Clausen.

So does Kovalchuck stay in NJ?
I'm really tired so I don't think I'll last through another OT in Pitts. Hope the Sens win though.

Nice Win Sens, I guess I don't blame ADTHE for covering the Pens/Sens under the Sharts feed link. Oh yeah... Jersy, u suck as a town and you suck as a team.

The best part was when Wayne Simmonds got tripped and they didn't call it. :whistle2:\ That led to the Henrik Sedin goal.

The Kings were 29-0-2 in the regular season when leading heading into the 3rd, so this was their first regulation loss this season under those circumstances. And the hardest part to stomach is that the Kings outplayed Vancouver for most of the game and simply blew it.

They failed on a power play early in the third. Frolov missed on a breakaway. Then the Kings made a Canucks-like mistake and took a penalty for too many men. That led to a goal. And I already mentioned the no-call on the tripping.

after last nights win its hard to imagine the sharks losing the series (cursed as they are). the question is, who will be their second round opponent? could be phoenix, detroit, nashville or los angeles. im hoping for nashville myself, weve owned them in playoffs past, about the only team we have.

big game for the yotes and wings tonight, the 3-2 edge will be key in the series.

boston and washington could both close out tonight.

Yeah I don't see the Sharks losing in the first round now. The AVs look completely outclassed and Anderson is starting to be exposed. I have a feeling both Boston and Washington will close out tonight.

If Phoenix loses tonight, Detroit will finish them on home ice.

And I think whichever team between the Kings and Canucks wins tonight, will ultimately take the series in 6.
Wow, Philly really made short work of the Devils.
i think a good number of people, including in this thread, predicted this happening.

In all honesty I didn't think the Flyers would do anything with missing Carter during the stretch run and Brian Boucher between the pipes. I really thought Parise would carry the Devils much like he carried the US at the Olympics (or seemed to). I'm thrilled that I was wrong though. Did Carter break the same foot that he broke back in Feb/March?

Did anyone else make the mistake of watching the Sens/Pens game? Six o'clock seemed to come earlier than usual.

stupid Penguins didn't finish off Senators last night. Kovalchuk has a whopping 1 win in the post-season in his career. He's definately worth 8-9 million a year. Atlanta should be thanking the good lord he didn't sign with them.
In defense of Kovalchuk for the hell of it... When will Atlanta get to the playoffs without him? lol
I had a long talk with a player

What the hell happened at the end of the game in Buffalo? I just turned the channel to see a pile of bodies 5 feet high, Ryan Miller grabbing hold of Miro Satan, and the game ending with 0.2 seconds left on the clock.

the caps better wrap things up sunday. the last thing they want is the series going to 7 games.
Hmm...you sure your not talking about Hossa.
zing!

Gaustad decided to slash Chara in the back of the legs as time was expiring and Chara went nuts. The Bruins had a bunch of little guys on the ice + Chara so Buffalo decided they could get tough.

Miller doesn't do a damn thing if Tim Thomas is on the ice.

Wow. Really? REALLY? Is this the same Kings team who was 3 minutes away from a 3-1 series lead? Didn't look like it. No excuses for tonight; that was just pathetic. The whole team was terrible, and the Canucks were fired up on their home ice. That was just an embarrassment.

But, as others have said, everyone has their bad games. The Kings beat the Canucks 8-3 earlier this season, for example. Every other game in the series has been so close. But, on the bright side, I got to watch on a 100" screen, meet some fellow LetsGoKings members, and got a free Dustin Brown figurine!
