2010-2011 NBA Season Thread
Wade's been the MVP for Miami just because his scoring and percentage is so great so far BUT Lebron is unlike Kobe or Wade where scoring isn't the way to measure his output. The guy obviously does everything extremely well. We're thinking about him with the Shooting Guard mentality when we should look at him as a Magic or a Bird instead. But we've all heard this 1000000x so i'm not saying anything new.

To me Lebron will always be Grant Hill + Magic + Human Growth Hormone. LOL. If his last games coming up are all double-doubles he has to at least be in the conversation for MVP.

(This is assuming Miami pulls it off)
Lebron is definately in run for flopper of the year.

LeFlop acting aside, it always cracks me up to see Mavs players and fans complain about flopping, most clear case of pot meet kettle ive ever seen.

Christ, the way in which the Heat blow leads its completely baffling to me. They are the worst closing team in the world.

Stop shooting fucking jump shots...go to the hole.

If i were miami i would have nothing to worry about way to many factors have to happen just for them to lose at this point, moronic iso half court offense being one of them

I am trying my hardest to give credit to Dallas but I have never seen a series that felt like one team is seriously playing for the loss.

Dallas on average is down by like 12 points with 5ish minutes to go in each one of these games and the Heat just go ice cold with Wade being the only one driving to the basket.

Good win Dallas.
I wish somehow chandler gets his ankle broken in some way
I've never understood why someone would wish bodily harm on an athlete. That guy could have a wife and kids he needs to support.

One thing people should worry about is Lebron still hasnt had one of "those" games yet which flopping criticism aside is bound to happen. I doubt Lebron would ever get 8 again.

As much as i rag on Dirk at least this guy plays Proper D. Has feet planted when setting screens and doesn't move, gets proper rebounds hardly no over the backs among numerous other things, but Chandler........... my goodness is all ima say

And another thing, Lebron wtf is wrong with you to the point where someone who has been to the finals and won a ring (Wade) is more hungrier than you at winning the championship and you have none. If by some miracle Miami loses Lebron really deserves alot of criticism hell eventually get for it and should be known as LeRobin

Don't hate the player, hate the game. Ref's need to call it for it to happen, otherwise it's just bitching. KG tripping that guy in the first round? Nope, that was a legal screen. D-Wade bullrushing PP in the chest on that legal screen? Nope, that was legal. If they stopped getting away with it, they'd stop doing it.

Well, his contract is guaranteed so don't worry about the wife and kids.

But yeah, wishing injury on an athlete, especially someone as innocuous as Chandler is a bit of a head scratcher.

I think they get tired and start for settling for jumpers as the game goes on.

Hey, someone has to do the dirty work when playoff time comes, and that's Chandlers' job. Dirk plays terrible defense. Well, I guess slightly below average defense.

It's a contract year for Tyson. An ankle break this late in the season could be a deal breaker on a bigger contract. And, while Tyson's is, not all NBA contracts are guaranteed. I was making a generalization of how fans do that throughout the entire season.

You have to be the biggest scrub not to get a guaranteed contract in the NBA.

So much dead weight on NBA teams it's sickening.

Yeah, with this current CBA. Who knows how it goes with the next one.

This still doesn't answer the question I originally raised. Why would a person wish another person they've never had any sort of contact with, good or bad, any type of physical harm? That's just a scummy thing to do, in my eyes. As much as I hate Kobe Bryant, I wasn't celebrating when he sprained his ankle/foot against the Hornets, just as I'm sure level headed Laker fans weren't celebrating when Marquis Daniels went down with a bruised spine on national TV.

The CBA needs to be revamped. However, I really like the NBA rookie scale. They need to adopt that for the NFL.

To answer your original question: cause they're dicks? Although to be fair, I will wish injury on a dirty player.
Lebron looked like he'd settle for the role of Alfred out there
Took me half a second but... :applause:
Dude, the heat have played so shitty in these finals that I dont even want to watch it anymore.
To think if they had some sort of discipline or a coach that would get in their ass for dumbass mistakes this would have been a sweep and we would have been talking about the lockout by now
So what was the talents Lebron was bringing to south beach again?
He's the best role player in the world.
To be fair they won't be here without his defense against Rose.
Yeah, but legends are made on clutch shots. Nobody is gonna remember Bruce Bowen.

All the naysayer must have just started watching the NBA since the Finals started. He is one of the main reasons they won against the Bulls and the Celtics this playoffs.

Role Player... again he leads the team in most stat categories.

Not clutch... Lebron proved to me he was clutch when he by himself kept his Cavs in the series against the Magic a couple years back with such clutch shots at the one below...

He has really looked pretty bad in the 4th quarter this series though. Doesn't matter what he did before, because all we'll remember is what he did in this series.

I really want to be happy for Dallas but this doesnt no feel like the 2 best teams facing off against each other.

They both are playing like complete shit, neither team has shown up to play making the game agony to sit through. I am watching the teams lose more than try to win. I am just going to take the Heat/Bulls series has my final and just call me when this bullshit is over.

I'm sorry Miami isn't playing better but Dallas is kicking ass when it counts.
Miami playing like the Cavs again.

Probably one of the worst finals to date
Really, guy?

Almost every game has come down to the wire and it's the worst finals ever?

Talk about myopia.

I can't say I am an avid nba watcher but I do keep up with who is doing well and watch the playoffs and such and wow. I don't think I will ever understand nba officiating. The only thing I can say is at least it is pretty poor on both sides. haha. Mavs are killing it again on the 3-pt line.

Edit: Congrats to the Mavs, they deserved it.

Hmmm. What's the common denominator there?
