2010-2011 NBA Season Thread

As a Bulls fan, this is the second best outcome that could've came from this season. Miami failing in the NBA Finals.

Congrats to the Mavs. Guys like Dirk, Kidd and Peja finally got their rings.

EDIT: Also, can't forget former Bull Tyson Chandler got a ring. I'm happy for him.

Your head must be so far up your ass to think this even ranks anywhere near one of the worst finals ever. As a matter of fact, outside of tonight's shitty game, it could've been one of the BEST.

People keep saying this and they aren't looking at reality. The reality is that if the owners win there is going to be a hard cap and the big 3 are going to have to break up. If you are a fan of Miami you better hope that they continue with a soft cap and just roll back contract lengths and lower the max contracts.

Well, the owners usually win. But I gotta think they will mess with the numbers and grandfather some of these big contracts.

Yeah and really it is their own fault. They are the ones that give out these dumb contracts. They complain about losing money, but they give Darko 20 million dollar contracts.

I love how ESPN cut away from Dirk to show D-Wade and Lebron. Win a title and still get no respect. Also I love how Lebron says he doesn't listen to the media, yet earlier in the year he was taking mental notes about all the comments people made.

I caught that too. I understand what he was getting at, which is the haters are still gonna live shitty lives, but you can't say that, BronBron.

Also, when they do win a championship (and I think they have to with so much talent), will he say "This was all the for the fans?" Clearly he said he doesn't give a shit about anyone but his teammates.

I wonder how this championship ranks up to others in regards to toughest road to an NBA title. Did any other NBA champion have to overcome as much adversity as Dirk did this year?

2nd Round - Lakers - Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol
3rd Round - Thunder - Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook
NBA Finals - Heat - Lebron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh

He basically had to get through 3 NBA legends, 1 upcoming legend, and 3 All-Stars to get his ring.
 
Dallas has to be feeling a little sad right now. Alot of people don't care that they won as long as the Heat lost. Dirk got a ring? Who cares as long as Lebron didn't get one. I wish the Heat would have lost to the Bulls so that this title would mean more. The Heat lost, so the fuck what. Dallas won and thats what should matter.

One of the worst finals in recent memory. Agony to watch. Neither team play like it was the finals, Bulls played better, Memphis played better, Thunder played better but only a little.

The playoffs were 10x more exciting than this final, I thought I was going to get a gladiator round with a knock down drag out series, this was like watching a 10 year forget his lines at a school play. The amount of chocking going on just tarnished the entire series for me.

Congrats Dallas. I wasnt a fan of either team so I didnt really care who won....but just feel so cheated by the finals other than Dirk and Wade/Bosh no one on either team deserves shit.

On another note who would have thought that out of that championship Florida Gator team, it would be fucking Corey brewer and not Noah/Horford getting the ring

Eh, I thought the finals were pretty good. Did you watch the Cavs-Spurs and Lakers-Magic series? Now those were bad finals.

The two people saying the finals were bad are the two Heat fans still in the closet. Maybe next year Lebron will get his prized ring (in the best finals ever) and they'll come out of the closet.

I actually respect Bosh more after his interview. It seems like he was the only one out of the big 3 who cared
