The Reds won tonight... blah. Where's burritoman we need some positvity in this thread. I miss the Astros... they were easy wins for the Reds... :whistle2:

My fantasy teams love Devin Mesoraco.
It is a small sample size but I am pretty impressed so far. I really thought he was going to be a bust, but he has been a positive this year. For some reason though, I am just not that excited about this season even though it is early and the Reds are only a couple games out of the wildcard spot. Maybe I'll get more excited as summer rolls around.

Nooooo...Jose Abreu to the DL. There goes a sizable chunk of HR and RBI fantasy production. I've still got Puig and Stanton, though. It'd be great if Manny Machado would get it going, as Mike Morse has finally cooled off.

My pitching staff has been horrible this week. Fernandez went down, Kershaw gets blown up, Gio on the DL, and almost every single spot starter I picked up lost big.

And not only do I have Aberu on my offense, but Carlos Gomez as well.,

One of the few good things about H2H leagues is that pitcher blowups are wiped away with the start of a new week.

The Nate Jones, Sergio Santos, and Cody Allen triumvirate have combined for a 7.2 IP, 17 ER, 24 baserunner shit stain on my money roto league. That might end up costing me a shot at a win this year.

I prefer roto leagues compared to H2H myself. I've had more than a couple leagues where I've dominated only to see injuries mess me up in the playoffs.

I wish there was a fantasy roster spot for "This guy sucks right now and probably isn't worth an active spot, but I'm afraid to drop him because he could be worth something later". Jim Johnson would fit that role perfectly.

I am kind of sick of benching a crappy player just to have them go off right then. First it was Seth Smith, then Devin Mesoraco (well, more like forgot to actovate off the DL), then Alexi Ramierez, and now Adrian Gonzalez. Ugh.
Any idea on where David Price is headed?
Somewhere out West.

Good night for the O's. Tanaka lost (OMFG the world is ending!) and Crush smashes 3 HRs against the Pirates.

I find it funny that Tanaka lost against former Oriole Jason Hammel.

So...Tampa lost to Oakland 3-2...despite only giving up a single hit.

If any Rays fans haven't jumped ship, now's the time.

Wow now Fielder is probably shutting it down for the year. This is such a terrible year. Don't even think its worth getting the mlb.TV package on the fathers day deal with all the injuries that have happened.

Going to try and make it to Five county stadium to see the pelicans play the Mudcats. Joey Gallo might be able to make me feel better about a terrible baseball season.

I'm surprised they've kept him at Myrtle Beach this long. He's tearing shit up down there.

I'm going to try to go to a Tennessee Smokies game on vacation next week to catch Kris Bryant play before the Cubs completely ruin his career. I'm hoping they don't promote him before then.

Fielder doesn't seem like he is the type that is going to age well. That trade is definately a win for Detroit for getting out from under that contract, but it's icing on the cake for them if Kinsler can give them 2-3 seasons doing what he is currently doing.

I love/d fielder. Great guy and player but very inconsistent and one dimensional. That makes him overpaid and overrated in my eyes. I wish we could have kept him for a lot cheaper but that wasn't in the cards. There also wasn't much room defensively for him. Rather have Miggy on first. Detroit slimmed down this off season and it shows.

Detroit also had to figure out what to do with it's prospects. Not a huge fan of shipping Avisail Garcia away to Chicago and seemingly getting nothing in return, but Nick Castellanos also needed a place to play. He should pan out nicely in a year or so.

They are definately a lot better defensively with Miggy at 1st and defense does win championships and all. With all of that great pitching they have I think their offense can afford to take the hit. (Although they would have possibly lost Fielder anyways this season).

Josh Beckett gave my fantasy team the final push it needed this week, that fully negating my mistake of not picking up Cory Kluber yesterday.

It's pretty amazing that the Braves held the Rockies to just 5 runs over the 3 game series, which is the least Colorado has scored in any series this year other than a 2-game set with KC.

4 game home and home series with Boston starts tomorrow. Hopefully Atlanta can keep it going, especially at the plate.

I don't know what I'm more pissed about: the Braves allowing 5 runs after getting the first two Boston hitters out and having the third in an 0-2 count in the 5th, or the rain delay that took Alex Wood out of the game and led to Ian Thomas blowing the game.

I have to say, the new T-Mobile commercial is weird. It has the Nats TV guys talking about how Bryce Harper has gone over his hit allowance and will be charged for extra hits.

The problem? The announcers are Gary Thorne and Mike Bordick, the ORIOLES announcers. Maybe the PR guys read the Awful Announcing poll...

The only other thing I can think of is maybe there's a bonus clause in his deal for certain stats. Either way, it's pretty stupid.
The only stat that comes to mind that would be helped would be WHIP. But you have to figure over the course of a season would it even lower it by .01? An error for a position player though is definately noticeable at the end of the season.

It's been awhile since the Reds had a top 5 pick in the draft, I'm not sure if I should be rooting against them this year if it's going to be mediocre. Does anyone know who the top prospects in the 2015 draft might be? :D/

He's here! He's here!

Cardinals' top prospect Minor League Guy Oscar Taveras has been recalled from Triple-A Memphis to make his major league debut. Taveras will start in right field and bat sixth in today's game vs. the Giants.
