This should stack with the Edge card so it's basically 35% off any used PSP game. Hurry up and snatch up the good games!

yeah, i saw this in my email as well, OP (signing up for the email list is helpful after all!). nice, gonna try to round out my psp collection again (i bought mine when they had the buy 3 get 25% off psp coupon. hopefully they have original cases and manuals...

btw, my local gs's add the 25% and 10% off original prices (not the 25% off then 10% off), but once i had a new employee do it the other way, but another cashier corrected him. 2.5% does add up these days, especially with all these games...
As I clearly stated in my other post...and as others have confirmed...that is not how GS does it. You get the Edge discount and the coupon discount off of the original price. So, it is exactly 35% off.
Actually, GS used to do it like that... I know they did. I remember using EDGE and 10% off coupons in the past thinking it would be 20% off but really, it was 10% off and then another 10% off.

But yes, for these 25% coupons it seems like it adds up to 35% off.

Well, I don't know about any other policies, nor was I trying to comment on them. But I have taken advantage of numerous coupons like these (either % off used games or % bonus for trade-ins) over the last year or so and wanted to confirm for others that it is, indeed, 35% off with this particular deal. Wouldn't be the end of the world, obviously, if they took the 25% off the game and then took the 10% off of that price. Just tying to clarify it.

Geez, after picking up some titles over the last couple of days, I noticed something. I never really buy used games at all, but since noticing things like these coupons, I give it a go once and awhile. I don't mind if the game is slightly scratched or if the case looks like it's been removed from a shelf a million times. But I can't stand when they put the used bar code on 1) the spine of the INSERT or b) the instruction manual!

the manual? weird... one of my local gs has someone who knows a thing about gamers - the spine stickers are still on the sheets and just placed between the plastic and the insert (so no worry about needing to peel).

i haven't tried goo gone on the cases yet for the regular stickers, but i have used electrical tape to slowly (but surely) take off sticker remains... overall, i do hate those stickers...

Yeah, the instruction manual one blew me away. I mean, it's something that I would have never thought of...so much so that I didn't even notice it when I opened the box to make sure the instructions where there. It was right in front of my stupid face, and I just didn't see it, not until I got home.

Then, in another store around here, I found another game with a sticker on the manual. Luckily, there was another complete copy to be had.

anyone else here ever "frankenstein" a game (meaning, put together your own complete near mint copy)? for example, say there are two copies of a used game - one complete but with a scuffed case and one without a manual but with a perfect case. for the best case scenario, i move the manual to the perfect case and leave a happy collector. i've done this especially with ds games, as they've got so many damn inserts...
That sticker on the manual method was used by my old EB Games with stickers that didnt come off in one piece no matter what. Pain in the ass.
Were they by any chance the older, white ones? Those were a bitch and a half to get off, I'll tell you. They make the yellow ones seem like they simply fall off once you touch them.

yup i stacked mine to 35%. whut a deal. i think you can stack anoither 10% to that with trade in value with 3 games, to make a 45% off

Yep, they sure were.

Between this and a B2G1 free coupon for DS/PSP games I had from a coupon book they were giving out in December, I got the following for about $65

Harvey Birdman (PSP)
Metal Slug Anthology (PSP)
Worms Open Warfare 2 (PSP)
Dragon Quest Monsters Joker (DS)

Just picked up Metal Gear Acid for 8 and some change; I hope it's good. There were like 5 stickers on the case, but they all came off easily with Goo Gone. All hail Goo Gone!

Has anyone else noticed Gamestop's stickers have changed to a harder to get off sticker? I can rarely get a stickeroffin one piece now.

Really? I thought the complete opposite. Lately, I have had a lot more luck getting them off in one, clean piece and not leaving anything behind. Of course, a lot of that might have to do with some of the games being slightly newer and the sticker not having been there as longer.

One of the games I got today was in absolute horrible condition. The plastic case that the disc is in was cracked in a number of places, as if someone had stepped on it. The disc itself was all scratched up, as well. Needless to say, I exchanged that.

They are only hard to get off when the idiots at GS put the stickers on the spine of the cover art instead of on the spine of the case. Honestly who thought that was a good idea to start that?

i had one of those - the umd case was cracked, with a piece bending in towards the disc. i was afraid to even start the game, so i returned it asap. the gamestop csr took forever to ring up, telling me he didn't know what to input for the return reason. i told him it was broken, but he said that only the case was broken - the game looked fine to him.

on a random note, i also had an experience with a used game in a clear replacement umd case (the one holding the disc). it didn't fit properly in my psp slim - i think one of the dimensions was slightly off. i would've most likely returned it anyways, since i'd much rather prefer an original white case, but i got doublescrewed with the game not even being able to fit!

Yeah, lucky for me, the guy at my local store took one look at it and shook his head. Usually, I don't much like him, and I think he knows that, but he was quick about giving me an exchange. It was pretty clear that this game was in crap condition. I really do need to start being a dick like some people and begin asking to see the condition of the game before they put in the box and charge me for it. The only reason I don't is because I know how it feels to be the guy stuck behind somone taking forever to be served. This is also why I try my best to complete my trade-ins during off-hours, when the store is empty. There is nothing worse than being stuck behind the guy with 10 games, a controller, and some movies.

I picked up Dungeon Maker this evening... debating about whether Innocent Life is worth picking up now. I'm really loving these GS coupons lately...

yeah, i'm wondering what's next, since they did do a ds one a while back... it kind of makes up for the craziness that was the black friday coupon book, but good deals are always welcome. still, i kinda feel i'm obliged to buy new games and support the psp as opposed to helping gamestop profit with used sales...

Yeah I know, it is tough.

But the way I look at it is, it might get a few people who were curious in the past but skipped a good game, to finally take another look. Or even introduce those who didn't even know about certain games to pick up a few.

If they enjoy them, perhasp they will be more inclined to grab the next one in the series or buy newer games that are similar.

true... plus, i hate the fact that games go out of print, so used is usually the only way to find them. "greatest hits" price drops are nice, but the red stripe is ugly to me... always a debate, but one things for sure, we cag's save lots by spending more, and these coupons sure are either helping/hurting us in the end...

Finally got a chance to use this today; I cased a few GameStops by me and had a hell of a time justifying any purchases, but ended up with a disc-only Gradius Collection for an awesome $8.44 after coupon and Edge card. :) Plus put down a preorder for Patapon, which (in a sheer plug) is only going to be $20 new so even CAGs should feel okay about paying full price for it.

i ended up getting popolocrois for $7, figured it wouldn't damage my wallet. also got a locoroco for $18. dead head fred and vp:lenneth are tempting me on the shelf right now. no gs's i went to had any idea of the patapon demo... i want it, now!

Any other coupons similar to this? I just picked up a PSP today and noticed this coupon expired a few days ago

There is always the AFF25 code, which always gives 25% off used games and DVDs on their website. Shipping may not make it worth your while, though. Plus, there is a very, very good chance you'll get stuck with a beat-up, disc-only copy of any game you buy.
