Alright, the fun continues!
I will say, I may have read too much into the way he worded the MSRP. I thought he was saying that it was in fact $50 MSRP, and that it still would have been unless it dropped without him realizing it (it was 4am, I hope you'll cut me a little slack on the way I read it). BUT, his not knowing aside, the fact that MSRP for the Witcher has dropped to $40 and GR has not dropped and instead stayed at $40, does not affect my original point that they have the same MSRP right now.
And as you said, I did mention rarity before as well. By no means am I saying that this deal appeals to me, or that it should appeal to most people. My point was that, as of right now, there are many ways to see that these two games have a very comparable dollar value. There was no reason to jump on that one guy for posting the trade and hoping on an off chance that someone out there had snagged an extra copy of GR, and would want a copy of the Witcher. Can you honestly tell me of a better way to go from having that copy of GR to having a copy of the Witcher that I may have missed?
edit - And never did I say that out of pocket was "all that counts". I was using that as a personal experience of how I got GR cheaply as an example that it has in fact been available prior at a cheaper price, as part of a bundle, which exactly mirrors this instance of getting GR as part of a bundle for cheap. It did involve a small amount of flipping, one copy of MK for the vita from GS for $10 for $27 in BB credit as a trade in. Excluding that, GR was still $17.50 from stacking other deals.
No, you don't get slack because you said:
Well, thanks for letting me know I can have a laugh at this! I actually thought I was having a decent back and forth with someone, up until you said the MSRP was $50 at any point.
Bravo up until that point though, you were vague enough to keep it going. Just remember to keep it vague like that instead of being very obviously wrong the next time you troll.
If you had not been such a doucheCAG about it, then sure, you probably would get some slack. Anyways, this leads me to believe you have shitty reading comprehension. If you have shitty reading comprehension, it's going to be hard to take your arguments seriously.
Furthermore, GR has almost never been on sale (I've been wanting this game since launch so I've kept my eyes open), and this bundle you claim to have got seems to be very unique to your situation.
Sure, if someone wants a copy of The Witcher 2 and doesn't want their copy of Gravity Rush and doesn't care about anything else, then fine, it's a great deal, no one would argue that. However, most people would probably agree that it'll likely be easier to find The Witcher for cheap than Gravity Rush now and in the near future.
