This is down from the 33% off they offered from last year, BTW.

SON OF A BLEEP!!!! It figures, everyone n their uncle must've heard about this 'sale' already and beat me to the punch on getting a copy of Silent Hill 3(the only damned game of the SH quadrilogy I need to complete it).

And, at $19.99, I'd even be willing to buy it when it ISN'T on sale.

I've bought a game from them before, and it was in perfect shape.

Doesn't look like they've got anything I was hunting for, but I might pick up LotR Third Age just because I'm curious. Thanks for the code!
Anyone bought from them online? Are they very reliable?
They're great for buying, especially used items because they come complete and in good shape.

However trade-ins are a completely different story.

Edit: Unless some amazing deal pops up I don't think I'll do business with them again, just based on what happened to TSD.

Thanks OP--used some of my store credit to grab the last copy of Super Mario Strikers and HM: Magical Melody, both of which I've been waiting for ages to get a good price on...

just got this email as well. Picked up Ghost Recon, Kameo, and PGR3 for the XBOX 360 all for a little over 60.00 shipped. Not bad at all considering ghost recon is still a 60.00 game.

Just be warned that if your going to be buying GBA advance games. They are going to be squished. They vaccum seal the games or ship in flemsy boxes.

Every newish game I looked for is "temporarily out of stock."

So their used stuff (CD's in particular) is always in good shape?

I've ordered from wherehouse.com numerous times. Everything I have gotten has turned out good except for one time and they sent a replacement without me even sending back the damaged goods. Customer service is only available by email though.

Took a quick look, but all the expensive stuff (360 games) are not in stock. Kinda worthless to have a sale when your inventory is half full...probably just to dump some stuff.

Thanks OP.

Got the last Metroid Prime Pinball and the last Feel the Magic.

Now I just need to buy a DS Lite.... waiting on a deal for that (and waiting...and waiting... and) :whistle2:|

Wow at the selection of games they have right now.. I'd say one of the best in a while. My first haul.. although I'll likely go home after work and rack up more.

Good lord, I'm gonna go on a rampage buying CDs here. Especially since the best used CD store ever went out of business around here... so lately I'm jumping on any good CD deals I can get!

Honestly, this is one great way to get box sets on the cheap. I wish they had a used Beatles Black Box Set, I'd be all over it like a fat camp escapee at a Ryan's buffet.

I haven't seen a Biz Markie cd or Sean Lennon cd at retail in my life, so I had to jump on those. Rare DVD's are for the grabbing as well.. I've never seen a copy of Lolita in stores.

Ordered the last used Patlabor Movie 2 Limited Collector's Edition, and blew whatever credit I had left from the summer.

Thanks for the code!
Be warned.

I've never had a problem with them myself, but it can come back to haunt you a year later it seems ;p
Wow just read that and it's almost unbelieveable. I don't know if I want to trade in anything after reading it.

I'm still going to buy some stuff though because I have trade in credit

Beatmania for $27.98 AC is tempting for the 2nd controller

I had about $200 sitting in credit waiting for the next coupon so I jumped on several items. I have traded with them about a dozen times in the last 2 years and never had a problem. Of course to be of the safe side I normally send stacks in of 3 at a time since they will give you a shipping credit if you send 3 items...

Brokedown and picked up a new copy of the Robotech 21 disc protoculture collection for $70 something. BTW the have the buffy box set new for $159 - 30% off for the Cagers out there looking for it...
so how are used games from there, do they come in good condition and complete?
They are almost always in pristine condition. Any time I had a problem, they send me replacement copies, without even asking me to send the originals back. One time they gave me a refund, because the game was no longer in stock, but I still got to keep what they sent me.

According to their policies, you are supposed to send stuff back, but for whatever reason they usually don't bother aksing you.

The used DVDs I bought during this sale last year were IMMACULATE. They looked brand new. I've heard they're very picky about what they accept. Not sure about the games but would assume it's the same.

I'm looking forward to checking this out, this sale cost me waaaay too much last year! Thanks OP!

Some good deals on there, I suppose I'll to check my finances to see if I can pick up some of these games. Probably need to re evaluate whether I have time as well.
fuck them after what they did to TSD

If i place an order with them. I'll have to fear if it comes back to haunt me or not.
That was an unfortunate story indeed :whistle2:( But if you aren't trading anything in, I wouldn't really be worried about anything.

I've ordered from them several times before. While their stuff is usually in good condition, they've sent me a couple games that were so scratched up that they wouldn't boot. I've also received a few items in rather poor condition, though still functioning. Also, with Xbox, PS2 and gamecube games, you probably will get a generic DVD case rather than the original.

I'd still order from them though, just don't expect everything to be like new.

this sucks so much because while i was buying from them during this sale last year, i had nothing but positive things to say about them...they even replaced a few used dvds that i bought from them that were in pretty bad shape without even asking me to send back the ones i received...

i see that some of you are saying it's okay to buy from them as long as it's not a trade-in, but that's not the only problem that i had with them...i really wish i could order from them again, but i'm afraid of what they'd do with my credit card...i wouldn't persuade anyone on here to buy from them or not buy from them; some really good deals can be had from them during this sale...just beware...everything can go great or everything can go to shit...good luck to those who do purchase from them
but i'm afraid of what they'd do with my credit card..
Best bet is to use a virtual credit card number with a $$ limit

As a note, for items that are cheap enough, if you're putting in an order today it's better to order from secondspin.com, since they have a free shipping code that's good through today. (the stock and prices are pretty much the same as wherehouse.com)

As an example, a $1 cd would cost $0.70 + $1 to ship from wherehouse, but only $1 from secondspin.
