CAGiversary!
Idk if anyone saw the ad on tv but k-mart (yeah i know hehe) has a 32 inch olevia lcd on sale for 500 bucks. i want a hi def tv for mt 360 and ps3 i wish i knew the model for you guys but can anyone help me on if olevia is a decent brand, or should i wait a little while for something better? thanks

They have a bitchin deal on a 37in. at Fry's. I would get one but I don't have the time or money right now. Not to mention, even thoug I've heard nothing bad about these I've also heard stick to brand names.

I was at office depot today and noticed they have the olevia 432v for $549. It's silver and it's the only other thing different between the two models. I know it's $50 more, but had to let you know...you know. There was other TV's there for sale as well. I noticed the 42' plasma Akai for $900.

compusa is having a sale tomorrow for a 37 437v olevia lcd tv w/ nstc & astc (qam) tuner for $599. No rebates!!!

try officedepot and do a price match to compusa (ymmv)

Officedepot is having a sale too, but for $699

It sounds to me like you just don't want to get one. This is one of the better deals you're likely to find in a while.

actually, i had the compusa ad but didn't see the sunday only insert. thanks though. I have a feeling my compusa is out of these. I checked online availibility and it said none in stock, that could be different tomorrow though. also, normal store hours on sunday are 11am-6pm. they're doing 8am-8pm for this sale? that really sucks, cause I'm not a morning person

oh i definaltly want to get one ijust think as tiime goes by ill see better deals then that one, plus i dont like pricematching becasue they always give me a hard time, also i dont see how i wont find a better deal considering we just saw a better deal for 500

These Olevia sets all seem to be on sale at practically every B&M.

I'm pretty sure I saw an ad for a 37 inch for the same price as this 32.

I'll agree with the other owners of the Olevia and tell you I love mine. Gets good picture and has nice features. Only really quibble I have is I can't find a universal remote that will work with it so I'm stuck with two remotes (pet peeve of mine).

The people who have been saying don't get one seem to not actually own one. I'm to poor to be an elitest. If it works and looks good I don't care about brand names.

If you have an ABC Warehouse by you you might try there also. I got mine at one and they not only price match you can usually get them to knock off at least 10% off the competition. I bought my 32" 3 weeks ago for $440.

I went to Comp USA today to pull the trigger on the 437V. Was told that they didn't have any and were substituting a different model which turned out to be a 237T. No one, including avsforum and olevia's own website mentions this exact model. It is not a 237V. There were other's at avsforum who had the same thing happen to them at Comp USA today. I really want to try this set out, but there'a 15% restocking fee ($75) for non-defective returns of open box TVs if I don't like it. Anyone else out there get one?

Yes, they have info on the 237V, but this is not that model. Rumors are that the 237T is more like the 537V. I let temptation get to me and set the thing up. Xbox 360 games look very nice in HD. HD Shows look good, but not as nice as my 26" CRT HD set. SD stuff varies from passable to garbage. I will play with the controls more, but I don't think the results will change a whole lot.
I picked up the 237T also. looks pretty great. my mom saw it and we rushed to get her one too
How do either of you like the sets so far? I guess I'm more or less warming up to it, but I still find SD material to be kind of poor. Xbox 360 does look good though.

I went to CC and CompUSA to look at these but I wasn't all that impressed sadly. I guess I'll be holding out a little longer.
