Okay even though I think I could have made the OBAMA a hell of a lot better I just really didnt have the time to make it look that great. I might even try to redo it once the game comes out . I also accidentally changed the Background color to white so it doesnt look that great. The reason I said I kinda fucked up on it is because I accidentally made it too tall so I had to cut down on his body......

the free floating thing is turning out real well. This is just rough at the moment, but I wanted some feedback before the final version

I was going for something that, when looking dead onto the sprite, it would look like the flat NES style sprite. When it spins, you can see that, not only are the blood vessels free floating, but so are the three mitochondria/brains inside the metroid.

I wouldn't mind giving a bit more depth to the mitochondria/brains. I was thinking about giving the cell walls more depth, but I think when it spins it looks pretty good

haha, i wasn't sure what I thought about the thing until i saw it spin in all of its glory

I went for the original NES sprite if you couldnt tell. I found a site through another site that you can find ANY sprite, from just about any game, listed by system, then title.

what next? Ill have about NOTHING to do at work tomorrow and I need some ideas. you can expect me to go even more ape-shit-retarded when the game comes out. I definitely want to have a good deal of experience before that time
 
alright, I added a total of 24 pixels/blocks, and I think it gives the middle more "life", as it were

EDIT: you guys with the skills are really getting me more excited. Can't wait to see the community site and see what other people with talent do....predator would make me wet my pants honestly

I was going to get the game either way, as it looks epic, but this makes it all the sweeter. About half off (including taxes I would have had to pay) shortly after launch (free saver shipping)? Hell yes!

Got this preordered. Can't wait. I'm gonna try and make a Vortigaunt or Headcrab from Half-Life 2 to play as :D Or maybe Gordon Freeman. We'll see I suppose!
 
just waiting on my latest GS $10 coupon from Fallout 3 purchase so i can but in my pre-order. Glad this comes out right before my 7 month deployment!

i wont be able to get the game till about 6:30 est, meaning i wont be able to make characters till after 7

Im sure ill be up till at least midnight that night making characters and at least playing the first 30 minutes of the game
