3D Dot Game Heroes - Out Now - Relive your 8-Bit childhood.
made a second version of link today as the one in your avatar was kinda bugging me

I need to edit the attack animations and do the tri-force pose, but I think you'll like it alot more than the one you're used to seeing.

Ill probably do my octopus from before tonight. kinda looking forward to it really
Sounds awesome!! :D:D:D
Flame shield up. Okay, I TOTALLY see this being a blatant leeching of Zelda. The first dungeon's treasure is a boomerang? Octoroks, Moblins, Likelikes? A Legendary sword in the woods? Dash Boots? Hookshot? A character editor but everyone is making Link... yea alright then...

Beyond not finding enough keys and not being able to open a door in the first dungeon because I didn't use them in the right order (what the?), the game is pretty good. I'm taking it in small doses because I see how on one hand trophies keep unlocking fast (unlocked 7 within the first 15 minutes), and on the other, some will take a while to get. I'm a trophy nut, sue me...
i believe thats exactly what they were going for without getting sued by nintendo haha.

from gamefaqs about the key you won't get access until later on in the game. says the 3rd dungeon, i haven't finished it yet so i can't confirm myself.

some of the trophies get harder later on, so far i have done both of the boss no dmg trophies. here is a link to them in detail:

Damn it...forgot it was LOST night along with my other Tuesday shows, I didn't get a chance to crack the seal on the game. Hopefully today will be different.

Can anyone find it at any b&m stores? Its like they're all sold out where I live. Hell, gamestop even says there's no copies within 100 miles of my zip code.

I played for 3 hours last night and finished the first 2 dungeons. I am right at the start of the 3rd dungeon. Great game, for a guy who hates to play older games, I find this game to be a breathe of fresh air. Sure it straight copied Zelda, but there are improvements to the formula as well as some nice touches. The graphics at first are amazing, but they wear a little over time, not a big deal though.

I have a feeling I'll be done with this game in a couple of days. It isn't the type of game I'd play through a second time (just how I am). I already added it to my CML so I can plan a trade later this week for it.
my friend said his best buy said thursday. take that for what it is.
I just called my local BB and they said their shipment is "in transit" but they have no idea when to expect it, although they said their trucks arrive Mondays and Wednesdays. I'm driving over there on my lunch break, hopefully it will be there. The customer service at my local BB can be somewhat clueless.

Same here sold out everywhere I looked, Best Buy doesn't even have them shipped to store yet.

ive been looking forward to this game for a while and some how forgot to preorder it. my copy will be here tomorrow. looking forward to it.
i believe they get their shipments on thursdays, like what the other poster said.
Again, I'm only going off my local store, which says Mondays and Wednesdays. Ugh. It's been ages since I've had so much difficulty in getting a non-street dated game.
alright, link is done

im going to upload it to megaupload. tell me what you guys think

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=HJA29GGF
Hey, I just downloaded the file, but I'm at work so I can't est it out yet. However, I read on Atlus' instruction that you shouldn't rename the super long folder name that the 4 files comes in. I see that you've renamed it to Link 3DGDH. (shouldn't that be 3DDGH? lol)

I've also been playing mainly at character creation. I made an SD Gundam model and a head bust of the 00 Gundam. I'll share it when I get home from work. :D

BTW: Does anyone know what effect the Class do for your character? Seems the same for all 3 choices.

EDIT: Also... given I'm at work... I can't see these models... Pictures would much appreciated!(can't wait to see them!)

Loving it so far, has anyone found a way to get the black bar on the bottom of the screen to go away completely. It blocks the screen in certain dungeons.
Hit start, go to options, go to screen, and turn the "guide" off.
I did that, but the bar is still there, it just has nothing in it. Maybe it's just me.
did you hit "start" or "x" to confirm?
I did, I will try again tonight. If I am the only one with the issue then it must be an isolated thing.
alright, i reuploaded it keeping the original file name

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=KB378TSD

when ya get a chance, lemme know

i thought about upping pictures, but would rather surprise people when they get to test out the model

thanks for the heads up about the free theme. done and done
Brilliant Link
Brilliant Link
I am dying to seeee itttt! When I get home, all I can do is download it though... my game arrives Saturday... BLAH! FML

i changed his hat to match the profile of the original sprite. I changed around his body to look more 3D and remove so of the "blocky-ness" in your avatar. I changed the palette to mimic the start of the NES game. I also gave him a split-triforce pose for his "hurray". He also appears to walk quite well after I changed the location of his legs + feet to make to his movement more realistic.

His attack poses were altered so it actually appears as if he's swinging the in-game sword.

You mean the bar with the button info right?
Yeah, that should go away completely.

Also, camera angle B is the way to play.
Stock camera is too close for me.

Thanks, I'll try again, and I agree, "B" is where it's at!

I got mine today from amazon. Im finishing up another game Im at the end of but I popped it in and watched the demo thing running and it really made me smile. I cant wait to play it.

It almost looks like someone did stop motion with legos in some parts, it has a really cool art style to it. And the sound effects, the monsters, the puzzles it all made me happy watching it.

Cant wait to play it. Maybe Ill actually have alot of fun and really enjoy the game since its so rare that ever happens to me. Little big planet was the last game to give me a good feeling and actually have fun playing it.
I hear a lot of good things about turning the "Grid" to off.
I'm going to try that tonight.
I prefer Grid On. With it off, it loses its artistic "blocky/pixel" design and just boils down to the whole lot of bland single color low poly models.

See here and scroll way down you will find a comparison shots:

This Bowser looks really really well done:
I prefer grid look as well... that wasn't even there originally, but fans of the game asked to have it put in (I think).
Believe it was the other way around, people asked for a "grid off" option.

And while yes, it does lose a bit of the pixel world look with the grid off, it looks more like a classic game to me.
Zelda didn't have borders around every pixel afterall.

I think I'll do my first game grid on, and new game + grid off.

Psh.
I could try to make him, but the pixel limit might be too low for his spectacular quiff.
Actually, I should make him in Photo Dojo... ooooh yes!

I might actually pick this up so I can guarentee a sealed copy when I finally pick up a PS3...

The game is all sexy in my eyes.
Pics? :)
If you're asking for 3D Dot Heroes, I will have to disappoint you. For now, at least. The Schrute Storm is in my Photo Dojo. And really, I need to work on him this weekend when I have a spare moment. But, as I said in the thread for that game, I do giggle when he flash kicks enemies while yelling out TAKE THAT SADDAM.

In the meantime though, maybe I'll go to this 3DDH character generator site and see if I can't make a reasonable facsimile.
I don't have the patience or creativity to make a character....so...these are some I found....please enjoy. Alot of these are VERY well done, especially the Japanese ones.

-really awesome bowser I found.(same pose for all six animations but very well done and detailed) http://www.megaupload.com/?d=V6XEJWR1
-Found an iron man but link was broken,
-This guy is pretty cool looking too http://www.megaupload.com/?d=P0FKKIMQ ...... pics

the cloud is by far the best. has a sword on his back except when he attacks (nice touch)

just browsing gamefaqs, megaupload.com seems to be the preferred site over there. Also this guy over there has took it upon himself to make an un-official share page http://www.thegeorama.com/3ddotgameheroes/index.php I'd keep an eye on it, some good ones up already (such as Pedobear!!!)
the webpage at the bottom has some new good ones today; claptrap, batman, sonic, southpark's kenny, and fucking DARKWING DUCK!!!!!!!

How tall can the characters be?
What about the blocky characters from the old Sierra On-Line 3d animated adventure games?
Leisure Suit Larry
Roger Wilco/Sariens
King Graham
