Happy with Gunman Clive, don't know about Sportsball but at least I don't already have it but Runner 2 I already have on 360.

Still not bad, happy with my $10 purchase.

Yeah, as much as I hate saying that, it's not enough for me either. It's a really generous bundle if you don't have any of the games though.
Yeah, I just had way too much of it to begin with and my $1 purchase was really just to get Mighty Switch Force which I already had on Wii U.

DSiware already has a perfectly good implementation of Dr. Mario. That said, Arika threw some new movement tricks in Dr. Luigi though at that asinine $15 price. Who the hell would pay $15 for Dr. Mario? If the same guys are doing this new version of Dr. Mario it MIGHT be worth getting again on 3DS but you can already get Classic and Vs CPU Dr. Mario just from the DSiware game.

Tetris, Dr. Mario, Mr. Driller, Bomberman. This little thing has it all... except Pac Man unless you count the GB version.

Bought Ikachan and Cave Story. Thanks people for the info on Cave Story. I have only played 10 minutes and already like it more than the 3D version.

hmm... maybe im blind but how do i turn off the auto update feature on the 3ds? It seems to d.load system updates and junk on its own and i dont want it to do that.

Only thing I'm aware of are notifications and it putting the links to the eShop for the free stuff on the system.  Pretty sure you can disable the latter but it's related to spotpass, may have to disable it entirely.

Woah Dave! code for anyone who wants it:

A08MQJX1325GHF**

For the last two letters, take the first two letters of the second word in the games name.

I haven't beaten it yet but Gunman Clive is a true delight.  I had it on Android prior to this but touch controls for a mobile platformer are rarely good.  Having said that, I think its mobile roots lent a slower, sometimes floaty feel to the game.  That's a compliment in this case, particularly since Clive feels like he has heft and weight when he moves and jumps.  He controls responsively and any deaths were always my own fault.

There are a lot of lovely game homages in the game but they're not always overt.  I also love the presentation.  It's wholly unique in that regard.  The music is also great, like a gentle spaghetti western melody.

This was a nice bonus, a platforming shooter that's thoughtfully paced and isn't punishing.  Can't wait to pick up Gunman Clive 2 now!

Now that those have been pulled from the shop the only option for those who didn't buy them in advance is Tetris Ultimate.

Thankfully, Tetris Ultimate is quite good.

I didn't even know there was an auto update.

Internet options > Spotpass
Yea theres definitely an auto update. I was on my XL and it seemed to d.load an update withoout asking and then asked me to install it. It was quite annoying. Is it under spotpass? Thats a weird place to put it. I dont mind spotpassing, but i just dont want the system installing updates and junk like that. I"ll take a look, thanks

It probably is as spotpass is all the notifications and junk from Nintendo. Think you can disable that separately from streetpass but no idea if you can disable the updates separate from the notifications.

Word of warning though: Nintendo usually makes it so that you cannot visit the eShop until all system updates are installed.

I picked up Crash City Mayhem last night after learning that it was part of the "Runabout"/"Felony 11-79" series by Climax.  These games are wild, and what they lack in polish they make up for with wild racing and crashing about.  Apparently the retail version is not common, but for $5 I'd say it's been worth it so far.

Makes me sad that there isn't a Burnout game for the 3DS, though :(

Yeah, itwould be nice if there was an easy fix for it but there probably isn't without requiring them to do a total port to the 3DS OS.

DSiware is more proof that Nintendo can't build for the future. The Gamecube's silly tiny disks, blocks rather than bytes, all these proprietary system locked systems. It has to be a monumental pain trying to keep all this legacy crap compatible.

I think DSiware and the original Xbox are currently still completely untouchable by pirates/emulation developers and that's not because those are secure environments.

The original xbox was hacked a ton. I had emulators on mine and also added a larger hard drive and put a bunch of games directly on the hard drive to play.

Antipole DX is coming to Wii U/3DS eShop later this year. It's a remake of an old DSiWare/XBLIG title:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a78JAI6FaZg

The animation of that character is pretty cool.  It's strange against the rest of the game's theme, but maybe it helps with the jumps and gravity switches.

Hopefully there are lots of checkpoints like VVVVVV.

Whare are everyone's thoughts on 3DS Zombie Panic in Wonderland DX?  Someone said it had a Sin & Punishment Wii vibe.  Is it also similar to those old Cabal, Blood Bros, and 'Nam '75 games in the arcade? Was it frustrating to play on a 3DS?

From what I've played it reminds me of Wild Gun for the SNES, with all the destructible environment. Man I'd kill for a 3D classics of Wild Gun.

The controls is a mixture of the D-Pad and stylus controls, it takes a bit to get used to but it's not that bad.

Has anyone played Adventure Bar Story? I played the demo for a couple hours earlier and found it pretty addicting. I can get it for only $.99 on Amazon's mobile store, but I'm not a fan of playing games on my phone. The 3DS game is $5.99, which is pretty cheap.

I picked it up after playing the demo since I liked the demo so much. I played it a lot right after picking it up, but haven't played it in about 2 weeks now. It seems to involve a lot of repetitiveness and level grinding (for lack of a better word). I still think it is unique and fun overall, and plan to start it back up again when I have some more free time.

got it for my tablet. People said its good on the 3ds but i cant see spending 6 bucks on a game i got for 99 cents on my kindle

Antipole was solid but forgettable. As in I liked it but forgot most of it. It's nice to see it with art that does the game justice though.

I don't remember it having a lot of frustration moments. I do remember it being interesting which again puts it over Mighty Switch Force which I will never stop ragging on.

I had no problem paying 6 bucks for it. I feel it controls a lot better on the 3DS as opposed to my phone.
I'm with you. I felt the game controlled wonderfully on 3DS, and I can't imagine it being such a smooth experience on mobile.

I've been playing Hometown Story recently, but I haven't touched it in a couple weeks. I feel like I should at least finish the game or trade it on before I allow myself to get a game kind of sort of vaguely similar.

The Capcom remaster train rolls into the 3DS station this winter with a new Mega Man collection for $15:
The newly announced Mega Man® Legacy Collection includes faithful reproductions of the original six Mega Man® games along with a new Challenge Mode and a Museum collection of art assets that will appeal to both new players and diehard fans. This digital collection will be available across North America and Europe this summer for PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, and PC, followed by a winter release on Nintendo 3DS™.
