You guys have completely confused me. When I used to play SMB3 on the NES, A was jump and B was weapon. When I just turned it on to play it on my 3ds, A was jump and B was weapon. What exactly is the issue you guys are having?

Go a page back, my original post on the subject lays it out very clearly. It's about ergonomics.

Okay, glad I'm not the only one who was a bit disoriented by the button mapping haha. I was playing SMB3 and couldn't get into the normal swing of things. Thanks for the tip, skjia.

What are some must-own 3dsware titles? I don't want to make the same mistake I did when I bought Dillon based on a Nintendo life review. It turned me off to 3dsware for almost 2 years.

So far I've enjoyed Pushmo and Sakura Samurai.

I'm generally OK with all genres though I'd prefer something I can play in short bursts over a long period of time like an RPG. I'm still thinking about Unchained Blades but for $20 I can get a retail title when it is on sale.

Thanks again for your help.

Phoenix Wright: Dual Destinies, Liberation Maiden, Azure Gunvolt, Phoenix Wright: Dual Destinies, Shantae, Mighty Switch Force, Phoenix Wright: Dual Destinies, Phoenix Wright: Dual Destinies.

So Phoenix Wright: Dual Destinies is a good one? Lol I bought it during the sale, but I want to finish the ds games first.

Don't forget Umihara Kawase. I forget what they changed the title to in the english release.

From WayFoward's twitter- #Shantae and the Pirate's Curse will likely release in mid-October in the US. We'll announce the date once we have it. It is NOT the Kickstarter game but its the sequel to Risky's Revenge. Its coming on Wii U and 3DS.
That reminds me, I need to go impulse buy the original Shantae.

Shovel Knight is a must own. It's my GOTY so far.

I think you're trying to tell me something but I just can't seem to figure it out...

Thanks for the tip :)

So, it's time for me to decide whether to grab Ages/Seasons. If I were to grab just one for now, is the general consensus that Ages is the better one to play first, since its code unlocks neat/useful stuff in Seasons?

Also, with the Mii Fighter being featured this week, anybody think we might see a discount on Tomodachi Life? I kind of loved the demo, like, despite myself.

Remember that the Heracross and Pinsir distribution ends tonight as do the GS codes if you haven't used them. Have some spares so I'll code bomb the thread after I'm done making dinner.

Just break down and get both already.

I think it's very possible (and would pick it up at $20 myself). Tomodachi seems to have the most direct connection to Smash since the 3DS version has the Tomodachi stage.

People recommend Ages over Seasons first because it's just a little bit easier and more fun as a standalone game. The code thing works both ways, so you can't really judge by that.

That said, get both. Trust me, once you play through Ages you'd regret not having Seasons. Or vice-versa.

Yeah I got distracted. Here's a bonus is the form of two Smash demo codes that my friends I gave them to didn't wind up using:

A05V6DKU17SFHT7L
A05VAXRN386CF16A

Won't complain if whoever uses then sends me some CN coins or something. ;)

Pokemon Mega Stone Codes:

A4Z48C5UTW29LQPC
A4Z49DJYNDG6YNJE

I used these last two, a Pinsirite for me and a Heracrossite for my brother. My local GameStops were totally lame, so you're a lifesaver for the both of us. Thanks a million! (Hopefully you don't mind that a filthy lurker and lurker-by-proxy partook so egregiously of your generosity.)

I had reservations too, but peer pressure always wins. Broke down and bought both. $8 for 2 games, what do you have to lose? Crossing my fingers on Tomodachi Life as well.

Thank you! As a Canadian I had no way to get them since Eb games didn't get the code cards here. They where supposed to distribute them in the Pokemon Trainer Club newsletter but the date for that came and went with a big fat nothing :(

I'd really appreciate it if someone could save some codes for me during the upcoming Shiny Gengar and Diancie events since it looks like Canadian's are going to be screwed over for those as well.

My internet's out so I can't check if the stuff is still available but if it is I found a few more cards:

Curious to see what's up for sale tomorrow.
Indeed! Hopefully they surprise us with another awesome week after they really knocked it out of the park this week. It also has the most potential to be hugely disappointing so we'll see.

Nothing major was confirmed so hopefully we'll see X/Y, Metroid Fusion (and/or a surprise release of Zero Mission to coincide with the sale), and Tomodachi Life at least. Don't have the list of all the possible eShop games for these franchises in front of me right this second but there's definitely less options than the other weeks since a lot of the games in these series aren't even available on either platform (and two of them are Wii Fit and the ambiguous Miis :headache:).

Seasons was easier to me than Ages, and you should get both. DO IT! DO IIIIIIIIIIT!

Alright. I went ahead and did it. Both are mine. You fine CAGs haven't steered me wrong so far this sale.

And yes, Tomocachi Life would be beautiful. $20 seems pretty unlikely, though, since the deepest discounts for the sale are supposed to be 40%--and 40% off of $35 would come to $21, and Tomodachi Life is a relatively new game.

Maybe $25 though? I'd still bite.

Can anyone recommend Pokemon Rumble? I recall the reviews being pretty bad, but if the price is right I might bite.
It's kinda of like a simplified Double Dragon or Dynasty Warriors, but the main reason to get the game (using the figures in the game a la Skylanders) no longer exists.

Nothing about it in the press release, for whatever that's worth.
Yeah it would have to be a surprise release today. Which is possible if not improbable. Japan got it in June and it's expected to come here but Nintendo hasn't said anything. Would be a WiiU game anyway.

I was thinking it was $30 for some reason but you're right and it's $35 so yeah if it went on sale it would probably be $25 like Kid Icarus.

I think.I would have double dipped digitally on Kid Icarus and Tomadachi at $20 but at $25 I think I'll hold off.

Edit: killer deal on the memory card if they honor it.

Errmahgawd, way to think of yourself and order it before posting it for the rest of us.
actually I posted it before the first order even processed. Surprising best buy fixed this in less then 10 minutes. Best buy been having severe computer glitches since the update so I have a feeling there more mistakes to come

Yeah, too bad they fixed the $1 listing too before I could get out of the house.
