Yeah. I was going to buy early to get mighty gunvolt for free, but this is better as I don't think I really needed it.
If you really want it, you can buy it for $3.99 along with Azure for $9.99 so that still saves you $1 over the initial BOGO promo.

I'm interested in the Korg programs, but can anyone tell me the difference between the two? It seems like the main feature of the DSN-12 is the oscilloscope view and the M01D emulating a midi keyboard.

edit: Nevermind, looked up a gamefaqs post and the korg website about this. It appears the DSN more closely resembles an upgrade to the old DS-10 and is an emulation of the Korg MS-10 synth, while the M01D is an emulation of the Korg M1 synth.

I'd say the main difference is the Korg M01D comes with a bunch of preset instruments, while DSN12 uses oscillators and filters to design your own sounds for instruments. I'd say M01D is good for quickly arranging stuff and brainstorming, without worrying about designing your own sounds, while with DSN12 you can get really creative.

Good. Not as good as Super or the Primes, obviously, but I for one think it's better than the first.
Yeah, it's obviously a GB game from 1991 but still impressive in it's own way. Definitely better than the first, not as good as Super but if feels fairly close to it (and the GBA titles) in the ways that matter most. The lack of a map is by far the worst thing about the game. Too bad you don't get any of the coloration that other consoles could do on it.

Also I never realized how long of gaps there were with no Metroid before. That's really sad

Liked for posting a CGR review.

I don't remember the GBA coloring games like that, that's pretty neat.
It's been a long time since I've had a GBC or GBA and an original GB cart so my memory may be off but certain first party games got a more appropriate recoloring and then most games got the generic variety of palettes you could swap between.

This is why I've never bothered to buy it on 3DS, or use coins to buy it even. The best way to play it is on Super Game Boy, preferably a japanese copy of SGB. It just adds so much, I can't go back to the regular version even though its my first handheld game ever.

Is it only for 3DS? I just got Metroid Fusion for the Wii U and I love that I can play it on the game pad. However, I don't really feel like playing the game on my 3DS, especially since I want to get the new one to play Xenoblade again. I don't want to have games on my 3DS just to lose them when I switch over to the next one.

Considering what the new & used prices go for it, I wonder if they will ever make an 3DS enhanced port of the DSi's KORG DS-10 PLUS.

The only thing that bugged me about the original DS version was that the software had no "reset to factory settings" so you could accidentally save over the demo songs since everything is saved on the cart.

It looks like it is only 3DS.

crap.. went to get azure strike gunvolt but my SD card seems to be full. Is there any way to use multiple cards like in a vita or something? Or are you just stuck to a single card? Knowing the crappy way Nintendo does everything i have a feeling im just boned

What size card do you have? If it's not a 16GB or 32GB you have no one to blame but yourself when they were on sale all over the place the last week.

I bought a $50 eshop card from Best Buy on Black Thursday with intentions to buy the Pokémon trading card game, Yumi's, and a digital copy of Animal Crossing. I bought the first two, but I'm hesitant to get Animal Crossing at $30 since I'm double dipping for convenience. Would it be pointless to wait for a sale?

Maybe wait til after Xmas just to be sure there's not a sale on it, but those kinds of games (meaning Nintendo's big games) almost never go on sale. I think AC went on sale for the Smash Sale, and that was honestly VERY impressive. If there's no sale around Xmas, I would just go ahead and buy it for $30 if you want it digitally.

Thanks, that's what I figured. $20 is my buy price, so hopefully Nintendo has a Holiday sale.

I'm assuming you have a lower capacity memory card? Just buy a new 32GB SDHC card and you should NEVER have 3DS memory troubles again (unless you take a lot of 3D photos and videos). Then transfer all your saves and info from your old memory card to your new one via your PC and you should be all set for a very long time!

Is Metroid II only for 3DS? I am confused by what you meant. There aren't any Game Boy games on Wii U, just GBA.

Also, why would you lose your games when you switch over to the New 3DS? You don't want to do a system transfer?

Yeah, I meant I didn't want to get it if it was only for the 3DS. I never knew you can do a system transfer. How does that work?

I think I already got solid answers on this, but is Dual Destinies okay to play if I've only played the first?
You'll get more out of it if you've played the earlier games, but it's not required. There a return cast members and such, so that is the main reason to start from the beginning. I personally played most of the early titles years ago, and I've been replaying them before I start DD just as a refresher course.

I also tried the DD demo, and I knew once I start that game, I'll never be able to play the older ones again, as DD just looks 100% better and more polished.

It's really easy, I promise! I had a ton of stuff on my 3DS, bought a 3DS XL, and it went off without a hitch. Basically you just choose system transfer on the options menu (forget which 3DS you do this on--both probably). It takes care of the rest, transferring the "rights" to the software onto your target system. You then take the SD card out of the old system, pop it into the new system, and you're good to go.

I'm not sure how this will work with the New 3DS since it uses microSD instead of SD, but I'm sure it won't be much harder. I'm already using a microSD with adapter in my 3DS, so I should be good to go.

So anyway, don't worry about acquiring software and losing it. You can transfer everything, including saved games, to your new system.

The Super Gameboy is basically the greatest accessory in gaming history. It's almost required for anyone that still owns a Super Nintendo.

I can't imagine going in to DD without having at least played the Original and Apollo Justice.

Ugh, I paid full price for Gunvolt like a day before the sale because I didn't want to miss out on the free Mighty Gunvolt.

Now you can buy Gunvolt on sale and Mighty Gunvolt at its normal price together for less. Gah.

It might've been one of the options that I picked wrong without knowing better, but the last time I did a system transfer, I did lose my save files for the Legend of Zelda Four Swords Anniversary Edition and Shantae: Risky's Revenge. Everything else carried over without a hitch, though, including every single restore point I had for my VC games.

Oh yeah, that's true. The deal there is that those were DSiWare games. I can't remember specifically what the rules are for those. I think if you have them on your SD card, they copy over (with saves!), but if you have them on your system memory, you lose the saves (and might even have to redownload the games).

Not sure on that. My DSiWare was all on my SD card, none on system memory, but I guess I have never actually checked to see if my saves came along for the ride.

He's right. And.... I'm beating myself up over not upgrading my card over the weekend. :wall:

I have a huge backlog anyway so while I'm interested in Gunvolt and PW, I'm not that interested.

also it does not matter what card you get. Everyone was saying get a class 10. I got a 32 Gb class 4 for 7 bucks from a 2nd hand seller on amazon for 6 and works fine.

you are lucky. it is very discouraged to purchase sd cards 2nd hand as there is a large market for fakes

This, a hundred times this. Besides, 32 GB SD cards are dirt cheap anyway.

I dont know what size i have. Its whatever came with the Limited edition Fire emblem system, its larger than normal but dunno how big. They dont actually list size in memory its just by blocks it seems

So i can use any 32gb SDHC card? Any brand work better than the rest? neweggs got one on sale for like $15 right now

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820178721&utm_medium=Email&utm_source=IGNEFL120214&nm_mc=EMC-IGNEFL120214&cm_mmc=EMC-IGNEFL120214-_-EMC-120214-Index-_-FlashMemory-_-20178721-S2A6D

would that PNY one work? Also not sure if the 'class' rating (speed right?) matters. Or if you can use one of the smaller ones with an adapter

Never did get an answer though: Can you just use multiple cards? Can i put a 32gb in and start putting games on that and leave my old one for saves and other things, LIke you can do with the Vita? Or can you only have one card period for the 3ds? And btw, how do i transfer all my saves and games from one card to another? Does Nintendo have a program for backing stuff up and moving it?

More Atlus sales!  I wish Best Buy was running a 50% trade-in promo again, as I would toss my Devil Survivor Overclocked their way and go digital.

I believe it's one card per system but someone correct me if that's wrong. It's any standard SDHC card, just get whatever is a solid reliable card (basically anything Sandisk, Sony, PNY, Lexar, etc.) that's available for a good price. Class doesn't really matter as the 3DS can't really take advantage of it but the class 10 cards sometimes have better warranties and tend to be more reliable (not that SD cards fail particularly often). Transferring is as easy as copying the whole card to your computer then copying all of it onto the new card. Just do it all 1:1 and don't change anything.

The card you linked would be just fine but here's some more options since Newegg seems to be OOS on that one.

Thanks for the help. I went with the sony card. Was between that or the PNY and figured Sony does something similar for the vita so i decided to go wih them.

No one ever did answer if you can just swap the cards out though. Regardless i need a bigger one so may as well get this. By the way, how do i format the card for the 3ds? I searched online and people were saying you need a program, not the regular windows format tool. Also is there an actual transfer tool or do i literaly just do what you said and drag the old card over to the new one on the computer?

Shouldn't have to do anything to format the card unless you have a 64GB you want to trick the system into taking. I literally took the one out of the system, copied it to the PC, stuck the new card in and transferred everything back on. It's literally copy paste but you have to keep everything structured exactly as it was.

that is what i did.

Pop the old memory card into the card reader.

Copy all files to pc

Put in new Memory card into the pc.

Copy the pc folder to the new memory card

Boom all your old games are on your new card
