Make sure you're DLing your free DLC from ETO2U.

I got it for 30 with my GCU but (shrug). The people are talking on other sites that it's a 30-40 hr main game. That's not too shabby.

I'm on level 13-14 on ETO2.... I just needed a bit of a break. This is a nice hack/slash kinda feel to it and the customization so far is pretty fun. Going from a B speed to a C speed.. I felt noticibly slower. I also picked up a couple of guns and a sword and the gameplay is different for each. Jury's out but it's passing my time which is all I care about.\

There's also downloadable forms for this. I haven't seen any DLC shop, more like a connect to get new cards and stuff. We'll see. Haven't unlocked much yet.
have you played more of it... Is it still holding your interest.. May pick it up monday

My save game says 7.5 hrs played.  I'm in Chapter 2.  (wherever that is gamewise)

The RPG is.. eh.. but so far the fighting is keeping me occupied.  The fights are getting more difficult which makes the game a bit more fun.  I was worried.

Now, some of those passwords unlock some decent armor/weapons.  Some are pretty expensive but the people chatting about it say that they can make the game a bit easy.  I'm not sure about that yet.

In the game, I've just unlocked my core so it gives me even more control over my mech.  It's too soon to honestly answer this.  I don't think it is worthy of the low-ish metacritic score it got.  I've played far more crappy games that have gotten better scores.

I bought LBX solely for the mech fights and customization, but I am digging this story. It is so insane and ridiculous that I can't wait to find out what happens next.

i think the graphic is why people are giving it so low. looks like a ds game

It's not.  It's a 3DS game that was released in Japan 3 years ago.  And it's stylized.  So (shrug).  The area's could do with a bit more diversity but other than that... still playing :)

Heck, the only reason it came over here is because Nicktoons picked up the cartoon last year.  Otherwise, this is another release we'd never have seen.

Holy crap!  Didn't even recognize LBX.  It is that Level-5 game!!!  It came out of nowhere!  I guess we have Nicktoons to thank, then.  I thought Nintendo did a stealth release.  Damn.  I wish Nicktoons would pick up more cartoons so we could get the Level-5 games.

Can't believe this came out here.  Even if it's not awesome, I'm sure I'll enjoy it, and I need to buy it now to support it.  Although then Nintendo will just think I like the cartoon...

Damn it why can we get this but not Dragon Quest VII and VIII and DQ Slime 3 and DQ Monsters I and II remakes and DQ Joker 3 and...

*insert my whining about whatever other Level-5 games as well... I know there are more out there besides just LBX and Yokai Watch, but I've lost count of them all...*

Well this didn't come out of nowhere, Nintendo talked it up a good bit during their E3 presentation.  They just didn't promote it at all once they set a release date and let it sneak up on everyone.

Agreed, they did this nation wide demo yesterday as well. It was fun, got to play it, pick up some swag and get a lead on where the Nintendo rep will be the next few weekends. He was quite stealthy about what they'd be demoing.

do you use the control to move or pen.

Uhhh... circle pad.

Touch screen is a couple of menus... you can do all that with the buttons but sometimes the touchpad is a bit quicker (like when your teammate is about to kill the guy you need to do the overkill on).

Honestly, I'm playing the crap out of LBX. The story has gone into plaid as far as ludicrousness goes. It's just growing more and more fun. I really don't like running around but it's the only thing that chunks up the gameplay some.

This looks interesting but I'm currently in over drive as far as gaming goes. LBX was my one unplanned purchase and it's put me behind. I do love me some Atlus games though. They're on par with L5 as far as my personal trustworthiness.

So I am pretty new to the 3DS eShop having just gotten a 2DS recently.  Do the WiiWare games ever have discounts?  I was hoping for perhaps a discount on the Mega Man titles during the Capcom sale but nope.  Is that something that I should not expect?

Same deal, debating whether to stick with the cart or jump in digitally.

May hold off in case they release Monster Hunter X Ultimate a little sooner this time around since MH4U did so well. Would hate to buy this only to have the next MH game release next year with the new handheld.

$20 would have been an instabuy.

Pretty good deal on the new Ace Attorney game.

The joy of selling my physical copy of MH4U for more than I paid for it means I will never again access that save file and will never ever be tempted by sales like this.

Quick question for a new 3ds owner. If I buy a game from the eshop, and my 3ds breaks, I can't re-download my purchased games again, right?

You'd have to call Nintendo and get them to transfer your NNID to your new system.

WiiWare?

If you mean 3DS Virtual Console, they don't go on sale too often. Mega Man games usually do in Mega May though.

I heard the process go like this, you call nintendo and give them your broken 3DS' serial key, they confirm a few minor details amd can transfer everything to your new 3DS.

So you can recover those games

There, finally grabbed Phoenix Wright Dual Destinies.  Never got to play the last one but I think I can manage.

I'd try Resident Evil Revelations for $7.99, but the file size is so large I don't think I have enough free space left on my SD card. Guess I'll wait to find a cheap physical version.

They're releasing a new handheld next year? What was the point of the New 3DS I bought then? I hope it's backward compatible with DS. But I suppose it won't be, because they'll want to release DS games at a slow, meaningless trickle on the eShop.

Congrats on understanding how console gaming works. Nintendo is the last company to do this scheisty shit.

Well, I don't know about that. We are coming off a really long generation of consoles. The PS3 and Xbox 360 were around for a very long time. I still have not upgraded and still see no compelling reason to.

Nintendo is on a different sleep cycle with their hardware, unfortunately, seeming to want a do-over with the NX, which makes me kind of regret my Wii U purchase. I did not really expect it to happen in the handheld realm though, unless the NX itself is actually a combination handheld/TV type thing.

I'm sure I'll buy it anyway (and probably even an NX eventually)--I am a sucker for Nintendo handhelds especially. I guess it is the backward compatibility that rattles me. Especially now that things are so digital, I have a giant PS3 digital library and a giant 3DS digital library. The lack of backward compatibility on the PS4 really kills it for me until it has games I can't live without. I would hope and imagine a New New 3DS would be compatible with all 3DS and New 3DS stuff, but I doubt they'll want a DS card slot in it.

Does anybody know if the Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney:  Dual Destinies DLC "Turnabout Reclaimed" has ever been discounted?  I bought the game during the last Capcom 3DS sale, but I did not pick that DLC up then.  If any CAG's have played the DLC and have any opinions on it, I am also curious to hear them.  I really enjoyed the Phoenix Wright games I played on DS, but I have not played the 3DS one yet.

There's usually at least one "big" Mega Man sale during the holiday season. Or you could wait until early next year and buy the Legacy Collection to get all six of the NES games at once for either half the price digitally or the same price physically.

It's just speculation at this point, but you act like it's out of the ordinary for Nintendo to do it. They've done the exact same thing during previous handheld generations. The DS came out a year right after the GBA SP, and 3DS came out a year after the DSi XL.

Right, but no one cared about the DSi, and when the DS came out, it was meant to be a "third pillar" type thing, not to mention it was entirely backward compatible with GBA.

I guess I am just in a panic that I'll want a new system and it won't run my DS cards!

I am probably taking out my NX and PS4 rage in the wrong place. I am probably pretty much okay with a new Nintendo handheld. But apparently it's just speculation anyway. I thought there had been an announcement or something (or confirmation like with NX).

I think what makes it different now is digital libraries (will all our digital 3DS stuff be easily playable without a hassle?) and Virtual Console. Just gotta wait and see I suppose. Again, probably taking out my anxieties about other things here instead of there.

Uhhh....

Hermione-Raising-Hand.gif

Speak for yourself.

I bought the DSi, and the DSi XL, and the Phat. (to be fair, I've owned every single Nintendo platform... gameboy micro anyone?) Anyone remember the phat? You know, the one that launched and then no support for 8 months? Just like every other one of their consoles?

Relax.....

Nintendo will not stop support just like they didn't for the GBA, DS, or any of them. Nx is just the way their heading... but from what I hear, their mobile idea is going up in flames. We'll just have to see. Who knows.. hell, maybe they're making a tripod and the NX is simply the 3rd leg to make them all stand up?

The NEW 3DS XL is awesome-sauce, fixes ALL of my issues with the 3DS/XL, and I can actually use 3D with it. Add to it that I don't have to use my Circle Pad Pro anymore... and I'm just happy as a clam.

i thought i read that the new handheld will NOT support  3ds or  Ds games is going to be a whole new system, that is why they  came out with the new 3ds   that is the new system if you want to keep playing your  ds games.. Then again  i doubt we see the system in the states before 2017 so why even worry about it

I had a DS Phat in September or so of 2005 (10 years ago, sheesh). Good times! I bought a DS Lite as well, but that was it until the original 3DS. I like my New 3DS XL a lot. And I've still got a Game Boy, Game Boy Pocket, Game Boy Color (two, somehow), Game Boy Advance, two GBA SPs (!), a Game Boy Micro, two Nintendo DS Lites... I miss my DS Phat, actually.

So we're thinking they might be doing another "third pillar" deal, huh, a total handheld console relaunch with no backward compatibility. That probably wouldn't interest me for a good, long while, just like the PS4 doesn't. I'll stick with my Old New 3DS...

But seriously, Ikeda, you were the only person who bought anything in the DSi family. Do you keep it in a box with your Nokia N-Gage? :D
