So I scored 2 free plays on Badge thingie. Was trying to complete an AC set, but I only scored a wreath. I happened to leave home during the play of the game. I could not save unless I connected to the internet, and the game warned me this was so and would not allow me to exit to home screen. Because I didn't really care about what I won, I decided to see what would happen if I turned the system off. Would I get to play again?

Turns out no. It just registers you already did the practice machine, and there are no free play waiting for you. I lost a wreath to bring you this knowledge. :)

Hundreds of hours of entertainment await in Terraria, launching in the Nintendo eShop on Wii U and Nintendo 3DS in early 2016.
No Picross 3D announcement is a major bummer. I'd need to hear more details on whether I can just pay to skip the free to play BS that's probably in Pokemon Picross before I get interested in that.

Wonder if that will only work on the  new 3DS or  need to buy  one of those stupid things

- Fire Emblem Fates releasing as separate versions. Buy one game and get the reduced to $20 digitally. Buy both and get 3rd path Revelations. Special Edition includes all 3 games, art book, and pouch for $80. DLC can be pre-ordered now. Games release 2/19

something seems very wrong here   i mean if the game is  40 each and if you want both games  (80 ) you might as well just buy the  LE for 80 and get the free stuff..  seems too cheap

- Pokémon Red, Blue, and Yellow will be released via Virtual Console on 2/27. Trading has been modified to work with 3DS hardware.

cant wait for this will buy all 3

never mind

both games are on a single cart...   this will just be like the persona wild card ed     i wait till it hits 40

  • Also featuring the Revelation path, all on a single game card, included exclusively in this special edition.
  • 80 page art book with previously unreleased sketches, concept drawings, and more.
  • Beautifully illustrated carrying pouch for your Nintendo 3DSXL system.

If you buy all three digitally it will cost $60. The limited edition with all three games plus extra goodies is $80.
It's still $80 if you go digital $40 base game + 20 + 20 for the other routes.

Also to slidecage doubt Fire Emblem Limited Edition will drop price to 40, it's more likely that it will sell out before that.

I highly doubt they will give away the third route for free, but then again it doesn't say nothing of not giving it away free.
Hard to tell, but it seems like if you own both paths then the 3rd is free. It seems like it could be interpreted either way

I seriously doubt third path will be free.  The press release is just saying that you have to own one of the first two in order to get the third (i.e. it's not a standalone game, it's DLC).  Japanese version costs 2,000 yen, which is the same price as the discounted second version, so it's probably safe to assume the third path will cost $20.

So that FE special edition has all three games on one cartridge? Whole thing's kind of dumb and only going to order it because dumb dumbs are going to pay out the nose for it.

Guess Nintendo's officially given up on this year and are now liars as well.

Amazed that we're actually getting DQ. We knew BD2 was coming eventually and Linkle was widely expected. Yay Pokemon Picross.

No Picross 3D announcement
Already exists. ;)

Buy it says if you buy one game ($40), you'll get the other one for $20, and the third game as a bonus.
No you don't.

They should really elaborate on the whole third game thing, because the wording is confusing.

And Eldritch is probably talking about the DS game Picross 3D. Tanuki likely means a game specifically for the 3DS.

I'm talking about Picross 3D 2, which I guess got an official name change since the original announcement a while back. It's been out in Japan since October 1, so I was expecting to hear about its upcoming release today.

I think they talked about it already at one point but I can't go digging in the internet right this moment.

Yeah I was being snarky and was attempting to link a picture of the cover but then my browser crashed.

But then why would the special edition ha e all three games and more for just $80?
Probably because they want to you to be locked into buying all 3. Not really any different than a pre-order bonus that virtually every game does nowadays. Or season passes being cheaper than if you wait and buy each part individually.

In Japan, the special edition was 9,200 yen. Regular edition was 4,700 yen, with the second path costing 2,000 yen, and the third path also costing 2,000 yen when it came out (8,700 total) So, special edition was 500 yen more expensive (about $4).

I don't think they're going to charge an extra $20 just for a trading card and art book.

If they do have all three games on a single cart I would have to imagine that's going to be the far now valuable one down the road and the one to have from a collector stand point. Assuming they don't release it like that as a GOTY stole package a year or two later.

I was loving Yo-kai Watch until the first battle.  Not only do I not like the battle system, but I can't even make sense of it.  Why is it RPGs always need to reinvent the wheel?

Yo-Kai, I have decided, is something that has to grow on you.

The first battle is too soon. Hell, I'm up to chapter 6 or so (with 25 hours played) and I'm still catching some of the nuance.

For example, I've been hunting Headsmand/Armsman. Couldn't, for the life of me, catch one EVEN with the best of their favorite foods.

Come to find out, one of the characters I had gotten from the coin machine, was making them hate me!

I had a Shmoopie (or whatever) to make it like me, but the other character was making it completely negated.

25 hrs. Found that out. Mind blown.

Figuring out how to target and how to play to monster strengths/weaknesses. I think king of catfish pond mechanics were fun as heck and kept me focused on making sure to have the right thing targetted at the right time. The pig thing was high/low mechanics but also fun.

I dunno, while there are somethings I didn't care for, I feel like I'm over the hump and the game is now better because of it. And I'm STILL learning.

I think by the halfway point into the game is when the game just clicks, it does help that you have everything at your disposal by then.

I've been enjoying the Badge Arcade and have played it every day. I got a good amount of the Animal Crossing badges, although I have yet to do much with them. The app gives you free plays for visiting sometimes, and then I've gotten a free play every day so far in the practice arcade.

that pratcice game that gives 5 per day,, can you save them and have 50 in 10 days

I haven't gotten any extra's since the first day.  It's been 1 free play with new levels and then 1 free play after playing practice modes.  So it could be my bad luck.  Still no theme's I want.  Need to MH, or Poke' to liven this system up.  Having a random indie black and white game that I don't care about is eh at best.

If you hit certain tiers in the practice game, you get extra plays. I got 30+ on the Hammer crane day and got five extra plays plus the general one extra play, so I had six to use on the various machines.

Yea, I haven't seen the hammer since day one.

Today was a hill one that I thought if I pulled the bottom of the hill they would slide down... but apparently the hill wasn't "that" steep.

It doesn't guarantee 5 per day. That's only if you get the Red Badge. The Blue badge only gives 1 free play.
There's also one that gives 3 free plays, I got it the other day.

Also I may have already put $4 into this, but the free themes made it worth it..........I guess I am now part of the free to play problem :)

Man I got screed in the badge thing last night. Gave one free play when I started it and the hook got glitched on a wall. Got one from the practice machine and went for the same badge and it glitched the same way.

Anyway I'm sure the Nintendo same will be the same as the last ones where it's just repeats. If anyone plans to stick up on credit though remember that it's 15% of at BBY on BF.

Yokai watch seems like something I should like but don't think I really do. I wouldn't even mind the indirect combat if it was a little faster instead of being a mini game touchscreen fest. Oh well, sent it back to Gamefly and started DQ9 instead.

You can speed up combat with X button also combat isn't touch screen intensive if you let the yokai do their own thing. Like if the enemy is channeling a Soultimate you wanna counter with a Soultimate that cancels them out, if anything it's micromanaging them while the fight plays out kinda like playing a PS1 FF with Active Time Battle System.

Yeah but that makes it to where you can't really react to the few things you need to if you speed it up. Not purifying them and using their power thing is just terribly inefficient too. I don't mind the indirect style and like it when it feels like you're more managing the fight and cycling your line up. I don't like playing mini games half the time though and nearly everything you can do is a mini game. I would have prefered if they had just skipped that stuff, made it just a bit speedier so it didn't feel like each fight was so long, and emphasized the tactical facet. Maybe the combat gets better later in the game but while I didn't hate it the combat was definitely my least favorite part of my time with the game. Spent about 6 hours with it before I had cancel Gamefly yesterday and would have kept playing it if I had more time (but why bother when the save is tied to the cart and not my system).

So it's not like I hate the game. It's got that Level 5 charm to it and it's kind of fun and silly. Maybe it's just that the Yokai you encounter early on don't have that Bulbasaur/Charmander/Squirtle sort of impact where you get the big sparkly anime eyes. I feel like I should like it, I want to like it, I'm just not sure I do.

Well this might be the issue, but that's how it's like early game-wise.
Also how can you not get all anime googly eye from this little beast.
