Is there any chance at all of Xenoblade Chronicles for 3ds going on even a slight sale? I know it probably won't happen but that would be an instant buy for me if it did.
There were several times that it's on sale at bestbuy, I assume you don't mind physical copy of it.

I'm not avidly against physical, but I will say that I've gone completely digital this gen except for around four games and I'm really digging it. I know not everyone agrees with it or likes digital, and that's cool, but it just really fits my life style in a big way and I'd like to keep going digital only if at all possible :/. Thanks for the suggestion though! :)

I have REALLY been wanting this to go an sale too.
I have not seen it ever go on sale at Best Buy.
I don't know if it is a regional thing, but I seeing any 3DS games on sale at BB is a sparse thing. Maybe 1 game every month or more.

It was on sale if you could pair it with another title. It was part of a couple B1G1 sales.

LBX is great fun - I recommend it if you dont already have it.

Hopefully the week 2 sales have something more of interest to me

They do a few big B1G1 sales a year that, when paired with GCU, offer some great prices.

Eh, I 100% understand. I wish I could do full digital, but I can't unless they start allowing re-sell of digital, and guaranteed access for a long period of time. Hopefully the EU will get us there, but it's not there yet. As of now, you can lose everything you bought if you break your 3DS, get banned from Steam, etc.

Grabbed Gunman Clive 2 & Mighty Final Fight.  I'm contemplating Steam World Dig.  I've played and completed it on Vita... but I kind of want to play it on my 3DS for the 3D effect.  I think I'll resist just because there are a couple more weeks of this and I want to save the money towards whatever may pop up.

Thanks for the heads up about the sale.

The 3D doesn't add much to steam world dig, just makes the background look like it's deeper in the background. Everything else basically stays 2D. Still a great game that I really enjoyed.

Oh absolutely, you're one hundred percent right. I feel fine about my all digital libraries on Steam and GOG, but sometimes I think it might come back to bite me in the ass with my Nintendo, PSN, and Xbox libraries; but physical games are just really inconvenient to me nowadays, particularly mobile physical games. I'm really hoping that Nintendo introduces a better account system soon with NX and that there's a convenient transfer tool developed with which I can transfer all of my purchased licenses to the new account. If that happens then I'll probably feel that everything will of panned out alright in the long run; if not then I'm gonna regret all these digital purchases super hard one day. Keeping the fingers crossed.

Well, they ARE introducing a new account system...
I remember that being mentioned by Nintendo quite a few months back but they haven't said anything else about it since. I'm super stoked if this is still happening, but I wouldn't mind a little bit of news on how it'll be implemented and what not. Still, if it's happening, then that's great; I just hope it honors past purchases appropriately.

Which is about all they've ever said about it.  Bet it's just going to be a bunch of marketing and F2P focused stuff and not the PSN/XBL style accounts we all want.

For anyone who doesn't check Badge Arcade everyday, there's a free play and a ton of launcher icons available.
I did not get a free play today. And the launcher icons have been up for a couple of days and a few sets have been removed in favor of Mario icons today I believe.

Still the same theme as a couple of days ago though.

Pretty good day for wasting money for me. I got a 3 play bonus on the practice catcher, and decided to buy the SMB theme for 10 plays. Ended up completing two SMB sets as well as progressing on a couple other badges. Still not sure why I bother with these, but oh well.

Might change my mind about it since more people are saying its not worth it.

Mind naming a few good beatemups then? Might lookout for those going on sale.
I found Senran Kagura to be much more fun. Not very challenging, but fast paced. It's heavy on fanservice if that bothers you though.

I wound up checking it last night and remembered why it was stupid and I stopped bothering.

Should have checked sooner since it looks like they fixed the badge wiggle where people were scrolling through the machines and getting free badges because they would wiggle and fall down.

Just installed and tried badge arcade today. I know, I'm late to the party. So I just keep doing the practice catcher once a day for those free plays right? It's alright. I'm just not gonna spend any money on it.

You get Free Plays one of three ways:

- Sometimes one is given to you as soon as you log in.

- Uncovering a Bonus on the Practice Catcher. This nets you 1 or 3 free plays depending on what bonus you get.

- Racking up 10 non-bonus Practice Badges. It stacks, too, so if you get 20 badges, you get 2 Free Plays.

I thought everyone got free plays on the same day, weird.

I waited forever for a bunch of launcher sets, but got bored and stopped checking. Figured other people might be in the same boat.

I thought the dialogue in Code of Princess helped make it entertaining since it doesn't take itself seriously. Like others have said the gameplay was only just passable though, and like most beat-em-ups it's very short. It's also very easy especially if you use the main character.

If you have a PS3 or Vita, I suggest looking at Dragon's Crown.
I already have it on PS3 and Vita. Good Game

Fanservice doesn't bother me too much. Ive seen senran kagura, but never played it. Might have to keep my eye on that one.

I got one the other day from them when they first gave out the launchers (it was a complete launcher set, including my coveted Zelda ones). But since then, so maybe it holds on to your free play if you don't necessarily hit it every day (I do every morning at 7, before I start my "daily" rounds with my other i-Games)

I just tested it on the Pushmo/Pullblox machines and after a little more than ten minutes, the music launcher fell. An important limitation with this trick is that you need to have at least one play left or there will be an invisible floor blocking the badges.

Oh well I'm not bothering with that long. They seemed to shake and shift more before.

How do you pay for something on Eshop with real money instead of Nintendo money?

Is Shinobi the only 3DS game not on the Eshop?

I don't understand what you're asking. You either give the eShop $10 or you buy a $10 card from a store and put that on there. Not sure about the Shinobi question as it isn't my kinda game.

I have 50 dollars in eshop credit that I want to use on game x.

I also might want to buy gunman clive 2 but it said that it will take away 2 dollars from the 50 dollars leaving 48 dollars.

I just want to pay regular money but nintendo won't let me. Unless there's a trick I'm missing.

You can pay by adding a credit card, however if you already have a shop balance I'm not sure if you force a credit card purchase instead.

Once you add funds from an e-shop card, credit, or credit card, it's all considered the same funds. If you go below the $50, and then need to buy a game for that amount, you can add the specific amount($2) using a cc.

I don't think they really offer a way to side step the system, and mix and match payments. There really isn't a need for that anyways. Just buy the more expensive game first, and then buy the cheaper game by adding the few dollars needed, or do it in the reverse, either way it's the same process.

Besides Shinobi the only 3ds game I couldn't find on the Eshop was Steel Diver. Every other game that I could think of was on there.

One more. Tales of the Abyss. Unavailable on the Eshop.

Steel Diver is in the eshop, I'm pretty sure. There's the retail version, and Sub Wars.

And no Kingdom Hearts games are available digitally AFAIK.
Sub Wars is there. The other one's icon is there but is says the game is only available in retail stores.

Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance is interesting. There's a demo available but the game is only available at my local retailer.

There are tons of 3DS games not on the eShop. You could go through the wiki list of releases and check it against the eShop and see that many are not on there.
