$4 ps2 dance pad NOW WITH FREE GROUND SHIPPING
why do y'all need three pads? is there a four player dance game? i'm getting one, since i already have one duct taped to a slab of wood.
I could see 2 reasons for getting 4 pads. Extras in case they break fast (which they probably will) or people are getting 4 for Ultramix 2 and using PS2 to XBox adapters.

Im not sure how good of a deal this is. Here is a yahoo store that is selling it for $4.00.

http://store.yahoo.com/surpluscomputers/dapeiiidadar.html

I checked and the prices for this pad range from $4-$9.00

Lot's of sites are selling this for 6.00 or 7.00. Still, the free shipping is excellent. I just want to know how good of a pad is this? I can't find reviews.

RETAIL price IS 9.99 for this pad so a heads up!

Thanks for the deal! I was looking for a 2nd pad so I could do 2 player. I actually picked up 2 of these, because I didn't think it would be very fair if I used my ignition pad while my opponent used the cheaper pad.
I had them in my cart at $4 and when I went to checkout they raised the price and would not allow me to finish my checkout. I guess I really did not need these anyways.
odd...i just checked and the site says $5.95 each (no longer considered a "special" by the site), so i added one to my cart to see if the 10% off code works now (because it's no longer considered a "special") and i had one in my cart already...that was still $3.95...so now i have two in my cart, one for $3.95 and one for $5.36 (after coupon) and free shipping is still around...so this is still a good deal

DEAL UPDATE

$5.36 shipped after coupon code "SLICKDEALS"

free shipping ends after today

Not a bad deal at all. Thanks OP. I picked up two of these for $10.XX shipped. I needed a few more dancepads for Mario DDR and the new DDR game for the Xbox.

Out of curiosity, how would you get these PS2 dance pads to work on the Xbox and GameCube?

You could use the adapter, but I will use some old crappy GCN and Xbox controllers and just connect it to them and then that to the console. I have one homemade PS2 dancemat and I put a switch on it so I can play it on either my PS2 or Xbox.

So I'm impatient, ordered one over the weekend and haven't received a shipping notice. Anyone's order ship yet?

just got shipping confirmations for both of my orders, although it shows one of my orders as shipped and the other as 'closed', although both have fedex tracking numbers, so I assume it's some sort of mistake. just glad they finally shipped and weren't backordered.

My order shows up as "closed". WTF does that mean? :|

I recieved my 2 pads in the mail today. It was basically just the two boxes stacked together with some brown paper wrapped around, not a very good shipping job but because it was free I'm not complaining. Boxes were pretty beat up but the pads work great. Thanks OP!

that's funny... mine just came in their original boxes, no wrapping/extra box or anything. they were pretty beat up, but still worked!

no.

just got one of my packages today, a dvd shelf/tower. they ended up shipping it bare, with just the FedEx mailing label stickered onto the packaging, came beat to hell but there wasn't any major damage. on top of that, I had also ordered a smaller item in the same order, which wasn't delivered. I assume it's lost in the mail since FedEx lists that order as delivered, and they didn't bother to actually package items together, unless they shipped it with my second order? I'm not sure about that though, as they were two distinctly different orders and I'm not sure they would have the forsight to do that. even after all that I still don't regret purchasing from them and I look forward for the next time they do another one of these.

I bought 3 and they came in a really nice box. I guess it was because that was how they were shipped to computer geeks (boxes fit perfectly in box)

got my piece of wood all sanded down, now I just got to get some hardwood floor covering to cover my pad with so I can play

Just got my pads today. They came in individual boxes inside a large brown box secured with air cushions on the inside. This is the first time I've seen a dance mat up close and damn they are huge. I have to find out where I'm gonna store them.

Anyway, can someone who received them and is into the dancing game scene tell me how good they are and if the two blank spaces on the bottom of the mat are buttons too or what. Thanks.

My order status is still "closed"....and the tracking number shows the last noted activity as being them loaded onto a shipping truck in cali (im in florida) a little less than a week ago. Hopefully they'll get here soon.

Even then it can be kinda dodgy.

nobody said free shipping was good..

I used to play DDR when the only way you could do it was by importing PS1 games. (had DDR-4th mix Japanese versions) I got cheap pads before and they weren't worth the plastic they were on.. couldn't even do standard modes that well. (say 4-6 feet) and on faster songs they would slide around and eventually mine ripped (well i had 4 after the 4th one i said the hell with this game) got Guitar Freaks instead.. much better game can't wait for Guitar heroes.

Got my pads too, these things are pretty nice, a lot better than i expected. I had some 20 dollar pads a few years back and these are way better.. not good as octanes.. but for 4 bucks.

I've had 2 sealed ddr games waiting a long time for new pads.
How do you connect dance mats to controllers?
I would think he used the guts of a controller and a soldering iron to connect the dance mat. I haven't looked into it too closely, but it might also require a couple of transistors to give the controller the correct signals.

that's good to know... i was thinking these pads i got were of so-so quality...

Yup, that is what I do. It takes a bit of time, but it beats buying dance mats for every single console.

my order of 2 pads arrived today....the boxes were very beat up and the fedex guy even said the shit was falling out of the box and he had to throw it back in...he wasn't sure if everything was there...ain't that great? everything looks to be okay though, i think....oh well, still a great deal....what do you expect for free s&h

Wow, I seem to have lucked out, insofar as packaging & shipping went. My CD spinner rack was well-packaged in bubble wrap and surrounded with air pouches in the box. Same goes for the two stapleless staplers: packaged nicely and securely. Mebbe they just decided to give the dance pads the "disgruntled worker" treatment.

[edit: the "non dance pads"...? I'm not sure what you mean, Warlord. :whistle2:s]

The non dance pads I ordered were packaged really well. The dance pads were beat up but seem to be fine. I think its just the size of the pads, they do not have good boxes to put them in for shipping.

Sorry to bring a deal back from the dead, but now that you guys have had a chance to use the pads for a while, how are they holding up? If they are good, I'll order some off a site in Yahoo Shopping! for 4.00 a piece. I need new pads.

They've actually worked great for me so far - no problems at all. :bouncy:

I got one and it works really well. Sure it slides like crazy on carpet, but you can beat the price. Plus the instructions tell you how to peel the paper off the back of the feet stickers.
