Anyone know if the 40 Year-Old Virgin 2 disc version due in a few weeks will have the same features as the original unrated? I have the normal unrated and wondering if I'm better off giving that away to a friend or keeping it just incase or what not.

here's what the supplements say from IMBD:
FREE movie ticket to see Knocked Up, from the writer/director of The 40-Year-Old Virgin, coming to theaters June 1st
17 minutes of ALL-NEW deleted scenes
Judd’s Video Diaries
Auditions
Raw Footage
Rehearsals
Reel Comedy Roundtable
Cinemax Final Cut: “The 40-Year-Old Virgin”
Collectible packaging: O-Ring flap with hilarious Steve Carell “waxed” reveal!

Thanks, though im just uncertain if they just crammed the past features onto the new features or what is what im more curious about now.

Going off of IMDB, (which admitadly is a bit suspect sometimes) it says that on the original supplements it was "17 minutes longer". There being "17 minutes" more in the original and "17 minutes of all new footage" seems kinda odd to me; strange that they'd be exactly the same length.

It's seems like it's the same cut as the unrated cut, it's not longer except for the special features which are probably questionable. The deleted scenes were on the original if I'm not mistaken, seems like an atypical double dip, right down to the idiotic "Double Your Pleasure" edition.

i'm getting so sick of these double/triple dips

i haven't seen the extended version but this movie didn't need to get any longer

it was average enough in its original incarnation

The movie is not 17 minutes longer on this version. The movie itself is the same cut as the Unrated DVD that's already out.

According to IGN the new release includes these features, plus a free ticket to Knocked Up:
  • Man-O-Lantern Packaging
  • 17 Deleted Scenes with Optional Commentary by director Apatow and actor and co-producer Seth Rogen.
  • Judd's Video Diaries - Follow the evolution of the film through the eyes of the writer and director as he shares entries from his personal video diary.
  • Poker Game Rehearsal - Caught on film: A rehearsal of the side-splitting scene that starts the guys on their quest.
  • Reel Comedy Round Table
  • Cinemax Final Cut - "The 40-Year-Old Virgin"
  • Exclusive Raw Footage - The cameras didn't stop rolling at the end of three of the movie's funniest scenes - the poker scene, the waxing scene and Elizabeth Banks in the bathtub. Watch Carell and company as they go further than they ever have before!
  • You Know How I Know You're Gay? - David (Paul Rudd) & Cal (Seth Rogen) do their infamous You Know How I Know You're Gay routine, with exclusive commentary by director Judd Apatow and actor and co-producer Seth Rogen.
  • Date-A-Palooza - Additional footage of Andy's first fumbling foray into the fast-paced world of speed dating.
  • Line-O-Rama - How many different ways can an actor find to deliver a single a line? Find out when the compulsively comical cast of The 40-Year-Old-Virgin takes one simple line and gives it worlds of meaning.
  • My Dinner with Stormy - Actor and co-producer Seth Rogen has an intimate dinner with adult video queen Stormy Daniels, who makes a special appearance in the film.
  • Cast Auditions - Actors Jonah Hill, Elizabeth Banks, Romany Malco, Shelley Malil, Jane Lynch, Gerry Bednob and Jazzmun strut their stuff in the readings that earned them their roles.
  • Waxing Doc - Oh, yes he did! Watch as four cameras record what went on behind the scenes when Steve Carell got his chest waxed for the first - and only - time!
  • Knocked Up Trailer -A sneak preview of Judd Apatow's newest hilarious and irreverent comedy.
  • Unrated Feature Commentary by Judd Apatow and actor and co-writer Steve Carell
  • Sex Education Film from the 1950s
  • Gag Reel - Enjoy hilarious on-set moments with the cast and crew.
I don't have the original release, but as best as I can tell looking online this new one has a bunch of new features and carries over everything from the first DVD.

My friend did not have the movie yet. I thinking to buy it for Bday gift & keep the FREE Ticket. I wonder Bestbuy given out CD TICKET separate when you purchase the movie. It's Really $uck if the ticket inside the movie.

I bought it GameStop new!"...

Thanks SmashtheSymbols. Looks like i'll give away my normal unrated version to a friend since its basically all the same features (except looks like the commentary track has been replaced).
