Holy shit! If THAW and Sims 2 are those prices at my WalMart, I'll be a VERY happy guy. :D

I'd be very surprised if anyone else finds these deals, since WM is pretty much the definition of "YMMV" - and some of those deals are insane since the games just came out. Still, good find on your part OP. :)

Why is Wal-Mart so stupid? Why would a company clearance games that just came out not even a month ago?

I'm just baffled by the logic, is all.
must be a going out of buisness sale.
I've never, EVER seen a Wal-Mart go out of business... is such a thing even possible?

I wouldnt call it stupid at all, in fact clearancing games a month old sound GREAT! The problem lies in the fact that its totally YMMV.

Some stores do eventually close and then Wal-Mart leases out the properties or sells them outright to other companies.
how far of a driveis this from so cal? =/
how far south? If your in the Orange county area then 6 hours of you drive fast....

Urban legend!

Once a Wal-Mart has landed in your city, it never leaves, much like herpes.

ya just like in south park, the wal-mart consumes your whole town until at has total controll, and there is no way to destroy it. Unless, of course, you go for the heart, dangerous? Yes. But your options are limited.

Yeah, you should check out this new documentary movie that is coming out, WAL-MART: The High Cost of Low Price. www.walmartmovie.com

I saw an ad for it in my latest video distribution magazine.

Its great for the customer not the company there were still many potential sales that they could have gotten at $50 for those games

Wow, might as well hit up the Walmart over here to see what kind of deals I can find. But I highly doubt this sale will be going on at my Walmart since they never have any video games on sale.
I've never, EVER seen a Wal-Mart go out of business... is such a thing even possible?
Yes walmart home office will close a store if the employees are trying to start a union. Not really going out of business however the store is getting closed.

Why does my Walmart charge $50 for DBZ Budakai 1?

I watched the preview for that called "Betty's Employee Discount", that smart-assed bitch completely turned me off of the entire thing. I'm sorry, but no one FORCES you to work OR shop at Wal-Mart...if you do, than don't complain, you're doing it on your own free will.

nope. walmart has a giant tracking beam that drwas you in, and once your caught your screwed, just like mosquitoes in a bug zapper.

This is the biggest load of crap I have read all week. Sorry to say it. Unions want Walmart... and its not to protect the poor walmart workers its for the unions benefit. Dont be so stupid

I actually made the long trip and of course found jack shit. The only thing I found was a Nintendo Ultimate Fame Library case (for gba and ds games) for $2.00. It was very frustrating since I had to wait for a while to get a clerk to scan the games. I am very interested in The Warriors and Burnout Revenge. So if anyone can capitalize and score me a copy of each I'd appreciate it and I have paypal.

Youre an idiot.

Hey guys. I went to walmarts in dallas and its a no go. But the guy at hte store said hey if your friend got it have him send you the receipt or scan it in and email you and we will give you the match if you bring it up here.. So if any of you bought trace memory for 15 bucks can you scan in the receipt and post it.

Thanks!!
Should there be a consolidated Walmart thread just as there is a single Target thread?
Probably not because the WalMart games might not be on clearance at all, but the Target games are for sure on clearance, just varying prices.
Urban legend!

No it's not. There's documentation about stores that have been closed and are being leased on the Pipeline (Wal-Mart's internal intranet.)

Not an urban legend.

Nope. They send 2x's the number of management officials from the Home Office than it would normally take the run the store, and inject them into the "infected" stores; change all current store management and have the Home Office folks run the store for several weeks until they quell the mutiny by following guidelines and being very "associate friendly" for several weeks and the store then returns to normal and new management is then placed in the store and it's business as usual, the "Wal-Mart way."

If anyone has any receipts they should post them to help out other CAGs.

I'd like to let everyone know that I hate every last one of you for getting my hopes up and I hate myself even more for letting my hopes get so high despite the fact that my Wal-Marts never have sales.

:(

3 stores...no dice. They have the games but they all scan at normal price.

I agree if anyone can scan their receipts, it would be very helpful, Im looking for Pokemon XD personally

I wonder if wal-mart will have the best price on that DVD :)

I agree. I watched that one and about half of the other one when I had heard all I could stand. That other man goes on and on about the crap he did, all the while trying to pass the blame & justify himself by saying he did it because he had to. BS. It's not like a job at Wal-Mart is like a job at a law firm. You can find other work.

And no, I'm not taking up for Wal-Mart, I actually can't stand the place - mainly because their "customer service" is a joke and their stores are filthy. But you know what? I don't shop there anymore either.

Yes it does happen, look up Kinder, LA. They had one of the first wal-mart's in Louisiana, when it opened it closed all the mom and pop stores down in the town. Then when new stores opened in nearby cities, they couldnt make it in Kinder and closed down, nearly killing the town and becoming a ghost town. Only with the opening of a casino has the town survived, its an interesting story, read about it. And I doubt ill find these games at my walmarts, never any sales here.
