Hi. I got a great deal today (5/29). The Wal Mart in La Habra, California (Wal Mart location at bottom of post) is having a 50% off clearance sale on XBox games. If you go to the XBox section, the bottom two rows are full of games costing about $20 and under.

I picked up Doom 3 for $20, and Ninja Gaiden for $15. I almost picked up Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath, Mercenaries and Star Wars Battlefront for $20 each. There were a ton of other games and other copies of Doom 3 and Ninja Gaiden as well.

I spoke to the lady in the electronics section, and she said the 50% off deal will last until the selected games are sold out.

This is a YMdoesV sale because I checked another Wal-Mart that is in the same area (the one near Knotts Berry Farm), and it was not having the sale.

Here is an attempt at directing you guys to the correct Wal Mart. I suck at directions, but hopefully these will help.

Yeah walmart deals are always ymmv. Cause Wal-Mart has the stupid mentality of not clearancing games nationwide like Target does, although this can benefit some people that are looking for certain games since Wal-Mart doesnt sell out as fast. We got several cases of backstock XBox and GBA games, yet the department manager/manager refuses to clearance off the titles, so were stuck with a ton of overstock and I wish they would clearance out the titles.
 
There's something to the tune of 30 Wal-Marts within a 45 mile radius of me.. and guess what? They're building another one, less than two miles from the new super center they just built. Not kidding.
 
Whoa, I live pretty close to there, and I worked at that EB games there a few times also. Anyways Thanks OP I will check it out tomorrow if I have time. Too bad I already own DOOM 3 and Ninja Gaiden. Do you remember any other games that were on sale?
 
Hey dude thanks for the heads up! I live right down the street. I picked up Ninja Gaiden and Doom 3, as well as a few others. Great deals my friend.

nobody else mentioned this but gamecube stuff was also 50% off. I didn't see as many good deals for the cube but they did have some cool stuff. They had all gamecube versions of the xbox games above for the same prices(chaos theory, POP, etc.), unfortunately some of the more popular stuff was not on sale(mario kart, RE4) but I do remember seeing:

I'm low on cash so I was only able top pick up mercenaries and project snowblind... i'm trying to convince myself to not go back and buy more(gotta save money), but chaos theory, call of duty, and a few others are sooo tempting.

I was at my Wal-mart today and I didn't see any of those games on clearance. However, I live by one of the worst Wal-Mart's in the world. They NEVER clerance games and still sell launch games for around $50. I might take a look at another Wal-Mart, but I doubt it.
 
My Wal-Mart has This gigantic bin full of games that they've had forever, in addition to all the games literally stuffed behind the glass cases. If they ever decide to do a clearance, it'll be fantastic as long as I get on it relatively quickly. I mean, their stock is so old they still have sealed copies of Vagrant Story for $39.

they were in the process of marking down the GBA stuff so I didn't check those deals.

Unfortunately some reseller bastard bought a cart and a half of stuff so I'm not sure how long the good stuff will last, appearantly the word is out elsewhere... or he was a CAG'er... which would be disappointing.

anyways I'll head down again tomorrow and take another look.
 
also as far as why this stuff is being cleared out, the electronics lady told me that the store manager wanted all extra games gone before they do inventory... so a definite YMMV..

I looked at the GBA stuff, a bunch of games were marked down but I don't know how good the deals are seeing as I don't own a GBA.

Also I noticed that many of the nintendo DS titles have been marked at $15. I also don't own this so I don't know if that is a good deal on those games or not.
Sorry I can't remember any specific titles but it's hard to focus with a kid in tow.

I'll keep updating as I remember stuff though, and don't worry they still have tons of stuff.

I'm going nuts cause I'm out of money right now. if this stuff doesn't sell out too quickly then maybe in a week or so I want to pick up some more stuff.

I'd still like to get Call of duty, Pariah, and a few others. I own most of the good xbox games that are the best deals already, still with all these prices I feel compelled to buy them again cause it's such a good deal... I mean c'mon Karaoke revoltion w/mic for $20, doom3 for $20, Midnight club 3 for $20.. that's just crazy.

I just hope the store manager is retarded enough to put the rest of the stuff on clearance as well. I really want god of war, DBZ budokai 3, and some other PS2 titles for $15-$20 each...
 
Yeah, what he said. I'd be in for Psychonauts and Midnight Club 3 both for Xbox if anyone's willing to pick them up. I'd pay for S&H plus a little extra for your efforts.
 
Well since I didn't say so I just wanted to make clear that what SteveMcQ said applies for me with Fatal Frame 2 for the XBox as well.

I went first thing this morning, I picked up the last Mortal Kombat Deception Premium ps2, Fatal Frame Xbox, Eye Toy Groove with camera, Ikaruga. There was plenty left, of course this was probably before the guy with the cart came.
 
Oh yeah the Gamecube section was badly arranged and I had to have someone with a key to open it up so I could look around under the shelves, that's how I found the only copy of Ikaruga in the back. I didn't dig around too much but there may be some other hidden gems.
 
Picked up Splinter Cell Chaos Theory around 9 PM. There was one copy of Doom 3 left and one copy of Pariah. Two copies of Psychonauts, one copy of Republic Commando. KOTOR II was sold out, as was Ninja Gaiden. Everything else was in plentiful supply.
 
70 miles, $400 later, and 20 games later. I'm ecstatic, except for the fact that there were no more copies of Psychonauts and SF: AC.

Really wanted Fatal Frame 1, but didn't see any left. I passed on a lot of games. I will wait for some of them to hit $10, like Bloodrayne 2, Spiderman 2 for the gamecube, etc.

I also grabbed a couple dvd's, Labyrinth and Dark Crystal Collector's editions for $20 each.

Take solace in the fact that this wasn't a $5 clearance sale like Circuit City or Best Buy had last year. That joker still had to lay down some serious triple digit cash or credit to buy all that stuff (and I hope he gets stuck with most of it).

WOW Wario Twisted, and Fire Emblem just came out like a week ago, and its already being marked down
 
I'm the OP of this thread. A lot of you guys are finding games that I didn't even see -- Good job (I would have loved to pick some of them up).

I'm happy that you guys came across these deals. It's nice to help out. I've found a lot of good deals using Cheap Ass Gamer, and I'm happy to return the favor.

However, unfortunately, it seems like some hoarders found out about this deal. Hopfeully, that didn't come from this site. To the hoarders: "owha tanas suare" - I hex your sales.

i picked up brother in arms, pariah, and timesplitters 3.

BIA and ts3 are both fantastic games...especially the MP portions of the game. BIA is not a typical WW2 shooter as it has some sqaud based gameplay invovled. and I have loved the TS series since the first game, so it was a steal picking up that game for 20 bucks! mapmaker is awesome! It was the last copy from what i can remember

However Pariah is not that great, i felt ripped off getting it for 20 bucks, i would not recomend this one.

I was thinking of going back and picking up Call of duty and doom 3.

I don't know about that luck dude. So far no I've gotten no PM's about Fatal Frame 2 or Suikoden 4.
