Damn, ours did that last year... scored most of my DS and PSP collections for under 10 bucks apiece... wait until they hit 70% and more

one of my most successful CAG sales ever from what I got

Highlights Super Mario 64 for 9 bucks
Lumines for 12
Feel the Magic for 4
Zoo Keeper for 9
Wipeput for 12
and lots more... didnt even have a DS or PSP at the time(now I have a DS and 2 PSPs), but I figured Id be hard pressed to find these that cheaply again for new (and I havent)

Picked up Rumble Roses (PS2) for $9.00 and a box of condoms. Don't think the check out lady didn't give me an odd look.

I saw signs for the usual Bluelight sales out by the local KMart, though no time for me to do it.

I'll see if I can swing over there tomorrow and take a look around.
 
Crap.. I was just over by K-Mart for dinner. Ah well, unless something new has been added, I have no interest anymore.

Though last time I was there, the entire video game department was clearanced 10% off, so I'll probably have to check it again to see if that has changed to 50.
 
Video games arnt included in this blue light sale, but some of the games are at thier Blue Light price as Clearance prices. Zoo Keeper came up at $10 on clearance while Rayman DS was normal price, for example
 
Yeah, I posted about this in my local thread. My wife picked up donky konga 2 with drums for $25. There's lots of clapping comming from the living room right now.

The 50% off is for every video game. But, it's ONLY true at stores that are converting formats - hence the YMMV. Taking place now for about 6 stores in the Kansas City metro area. This may not be nationwide, at least not at the same time. But, suspect eventually it will happen (as several posters indicated already converted in their locations).

WIll usually be advertised in the paper and run until stock depleted.

I just got back from the only store around me that I would expect to be converting. It's in a nice part of town and this Kmart totally sucks. Anyway it's not changing and if they don't it will so go under.

Anyway does anyone have a list of stores?

On a side note...since no one shops at K-mart they had 3 premium and 2 core Xboxs.

According to ad in paper the K-mart on 291 in Lee's Summit is having the clearance sale. If they have any X360 games then s/b 50% off.

Hey locals!! I'm in Grain Valley.

I stopped by that Lee Summit store about three weeks ago when the games were only 25%. They did have a ton of games, but no systems on any platform. They did have the stand up display and a bunch of cool ps2 and nintendo signs that I thought about seeing if they'd sell, but I didn't ask. The games are sort of tough to find, they are back by the sporting goods, in a rolling case.

Like I said, it was a few weeks ago, but they did have a ton of games for every platform, and 360 games were included in the sale. I might go back this week for some psp games if anyone can confirm the picking is still good.

My local K-Mart is also converting to a "Sears Grand" this summer and they're clearancing all of their games (60% off now). Not much left when I stopped in today I picked up Lumines for $11.99 and Mark of Kri for $8.40.

This is in central Wisconsin, btw, so I figure most of you won't be anywhere near this store.
 
Yeah, I ended up not going to either. Seems to be limited at best. I called the Lee's Summit store, the guy seemed to know what I was talking about, but said only a "few, very select" games are 50% off, mostly "old PS2 and GBA games."

Arg, too bad. Anyways, nice to meet the locals.

Well, don't know if Lee Summit store was picked over by now but I scored good games in 3 of the 4 Kmarts I visited over the weekend (and got the GBA SP at the 4th!). It was indeed all games, all systems (except Xbox 360 although did see some accessories for it). Selection was better when games were locked up since could be hard to find someone with the key and therefore less impulse buying. Went back to 2 stores and pickings are pretty slim now.

For folks not near KS/MO border be sure to watch for Kmarts making the conversion in your area. You could score some nice deals!

If you remeber seeing any X360 games, I might have to go afterall. Then again, I really have quite the backlog of games right now. However, if a slim PS2 can be had for $75, I'll have to go for it!
