If you look at the list he shows about where the US is compared to other countries, Cuba is listed several numbers lower then the US. The US also has the highest patient satisfaction on that study in the world(he forgot to mention that) and second best in waiting time(1st is Germany)[/quote]
Highest patient satisfaction? When it costs $10 for two

in aspirin in the ER if all they find out is that you have a headache?

that! Oh and around here, even when the ER is completely DEAD, it takes you no less than 2-3 hours to get in and once you're seen, it takes them 12-13 hours just to

in release you. To me, that's bullshit, just like the prices they charge.
My old family doc used to charge $20-25 and would NOT take ANY health insurance whatsoever. No money, go to the hospital. If places charged FAIR prices instead of soaking you for every little thing, this system might work ALOT better.
The only really 'cheap' drug you can get from a pharmacy without health insurance that won't have you paying over $10-20 is antibiotics. Scary, to think if I need something to help with the flu, that I could die sooner than find affordable drugs. Honestly, once drugs are out and have made their R&D costs back and have made their companies some profit, they should be dropped to a much more reasonable price to let everyone(even those without insurance) benefit from them.
I personally wouldn't mind trying out the socialized healthcare, but I'd have to go to Canada or one of the other places mentioned in the film to experience it, because quite frankly the system in this country sucks and the doctors and insurance companies are profiteers.
