$8 Anime at BB. GTO, Brigadoon, Reign, Real Bout HS, VP Miyu

Complete GTO for $80? OH HELL YAW.

EDIT: I see that volumes 2 and 3 are on backorder, im not willing to take the BB shaft (again) and only get 1, 4-10.

Order volumes 1-5 for $24 from DeepDiscountDVD.com. It's not in stock but I placed an order a week ago and I have a ship date of 1/8/05. Usually DDD is pretty good at meeting that.

Then get the regular box for 6-10 for $60. That'll include a T-shirt too. That's all the Dvd's plus T-Shirt and boxes for $84. It'll cost you $84.
 
Must be a Geneon thing as RightStuf.com is having a sale on the same title and more. They are doing Buy 2 Get 1 or Buy 4 Get 2.

Ordered Reign throught this deal. I guess few people liked it as it came and went on Cartoon Network fast. Though, so all did the Gundams except the Street Fighter like one that I can never remember the name to.
 
sounds like another great deal, but i haven't seen any of these titles. is GTO really that good? what about vampire princess miyu? i saw the old miyu OVA's a long time ago but these look different.

i'd ask you about the series but obviously you think it's worth owning (at this price). maybe the real question is, how can i pass up the complete set for $24 if the series is halfway decent?

not necessarily. there are as many different kinds of anime as there are genres of fiction. what's your taste? sci-fi, fantasy, mystery, horror, romantic comedy, action, drama...? what are your, say, top ten favorite movies? it might give someone an idea as to what kind of anime you might possibly like. alternatively, i'm sure if someone started a post for "What are the top five classic must-own anime DVD's?" you'll get plenty of ideas there. (this is probably more information than you were looking for)
 
Most of the BB prices can be beaten by buying sets at DDD, although BB has a different Anime deal that has some good prices. The Aoshi discs seemed like a good deal (I'm not familiar with the series, though) compared to DDD. I decided to take the plunge and order a few, since I had a $5 digital coupon that was about to expire on 12/31. When I went to the store to pick up "Ai Yori Aoshi 1: Fate - (Ltd Sub Box)", they gave me the regular edition without the collector's box. I told them it was the wrong item, then I brought the right one up to the CS counter. After about 10 minutes they figured out that I was right (originally she said that she would have to do a return on the one I was given, and then a purchase on the correct one, but I wasn't going to let that fly, since it was marked $33.99).
 
just got GTO Set 1 from DDD today. i forgot that the t-shirt was included. sweet bonus.

i had made the jump and also ordered real bout hs, but it's still on backorder.
 
I'm about to order GTO Set 1 from DDD, and just making sure, but this site is legit right? I'm not gonna be getting a hong kong fake am i...

edit : I'm thinking about getting the golden boy set....grr i love this site if it's true :(

edit 2 : 6.55 from reseller ratings...ugh i'm debating

Don't worry, DDD is legit. I've spent so much money on that site. But they have the best prices. I'm debating over getting the Real Bout High School Set from there. Any opinions?
 
Real Bout High School box set arrived today. Didn't know it would be part of the package, but the official soundtrack came along with it.
 
after a really long time of debating whether i should buy gto vols 7 8 and 9, since ive already seen them. But I finally decided to order them just to finsh my gto collection.
