dv8, maybe you can answer this, I've always been curious: Why is so much stuff over there in English? For example, I didn't spot a single Japanese character on that box.

Do red light district has price tags on them or is it just like price haggling base on service, size and duration? I hear that you can't tip in Japan either.

There are prices in the red light district I'm sure, although I've never been. However, based on my experience with Japanese girls, they do take tips. Anything more and they start screaming. Please take it easy on them! :rofl:

Some people are completionists and have to put a whole set together. But, not me! I just take all the ones with chicks on them so other people get stuck with only dudes. :twisted:

Oh, I have no doubt about what they do, I'm just curious how it tastes. In addition to the HP/MP restoration though, do they recover status ailments? Do sparkles appear around you as you drink it? Is it fizzy? Does it make one's nose tickle?

I've needed to know the answers to these questions since I first played Final Fantasy 20 years ago and now dv8mad is dangling the proverbial carrot.

I haven't tried one of these yet although I bought a double and it's in the fridge right now. I'll try it today, but yeah, I heard they taste like lemonade. They are about $2 each.

Actually, I thought aloe would be disgusting as well, but they have many aloe flavored things here and they are actually pretty good! The premium set (pictured) is limited to 30,000 and were available for preorder at ￥5000. They seem to be sold out and most places now (or on Yahoo auctions with a buy it now of ￥15,800:rofl:), but I found a few places that still had them available although the number I could buy was limited. Not only that, but the prices varied, so they averaged out to about ￥6000 each.

Anyway, one is spoken for. I have 3 left if anyone wants to come through with a good offer ;). I'll let you all know when they are delivered.

I will lay off that Premium Pack for now. However I will take 3 of those potions individually of specific charcters. Lightning, Sazh, and Vanille. So throw those onto my tab. Ditto. How does shipping there work - is there a flat rate box that you can use? I'm worried about the cost of shipping on, say, six cans. I'm interested in the chocobo, Lightning portrait, Lightning sitting, Vanille and two others at random; preferably an even split between the Aloe and the Lemonade flavors.

Also, how would you end up packaging them to make sure they don't get punctured and soak everything else in the package?

2) Yes, it's sold out. Most were presold so most stores didn't have any available day of. That's why I was only able to get one. Anyway, shipping to the US looks ridiculous, so I basically have to see it for $850 at least to make a decent profit. The good news is, the prices are already rising domestically, so within the next couple of months, I may be able to unload this here for a bigger profit!

No flat rate boxes sadly. That would make my life MUCH easier! I wasn't sure how much they weighed yesterday when talking to someone else, but this morning, I put 3 cans on our small scale and they came out to about 1100grams. So, 6 cans would certainly be over 2kg. As always, post.japanpost.jp is the best way to check for any shipping prices.
As for the flavors, the ones I have pictured (the premium set ones) are all lemon flavored. The Aloe version is a totally different thing. They are almost ￥1000 each because each one comes in a box with one drink and one trading arts figure.

Aloe is on point. Though sometimes when you get it, it can have little aloe chunks in it, which really put off some people.

Ok that is what I figured. A friend of a friend was going to poke around in Okinawa for me to see if maybe there was a lonesome one with my name on it.

I would like to know the same thing about them being limited. Won't change my mind though. I may opt for the premium if my friend's buddy can't find one (I am going to assume that is going to most likely be the case but you never know).
 
Is the Elixir the same as the Dissidia Elixir? If so, it doesn't taste bad. It isn't good either.

Either way, I still rather have that Mega Man E-Tank drink instead. Looks ten times cooler.

They are probably a limited time thing. I don't see the purpose of manufacturers producing them all the time since it probably won't sell well after the FFXIII hype is gone.

There are other ways to obtain them too you know? You can find them in treasure chests, in bookshelves (you gotta search), and in monsters (you got to defeat them) across the globe. Oh and of course you can also trade them with dv8 (Think of him as this cool item shop that spawns different cool stuff from time to time). ;)
 
Glad to hear you started dragon age, ive been playing the game on and off since launch and only managed to log about 25 hours on it so far. Cheers for working, gaming, sports watching and most importantly family time.
 
Yeah, the previous potions were usually out for about a month. Sometimes they would linger for a bit after, but it was only the leftover, crappy designs. To be able to get the best designs, you have the get to them in the first week or so, which we are already nearing the end of, so I need to go out today to a few different convenience stores if I can.

When I killed refused chaos and sifted through his pockets.. he had none.. I also dried chopping em into bits and looking inside.. still none.. no gold coins either.. was strange....
