I used to play this game a lot back when the Fallen Empires expansion came out (and was completely ignored by the players). I got back into a few years ago and stopped again when all of the new mechanics made playing a game a pain in the ass.

I still enjoyed the fact that the Fallen Empires cards finally became useful since they defeated a lot of the new mechanics.

Oh, you have threshold cards? I have mosspits and thrulls.
 
I still have a few Fallen Empires cards. I really got into Tempest and Stronghold. That was a good series. It actually had a solid plot.
I wish they'd bring the Weatherlight and Mirage series back.
