Yeah, but I didn't know if you meant in Japan. Because, you know, that trailer was all in Japanese, and games releasing in NA...generally have English trailers? Or something.

I love how every GGT starts to near 500 posts when I'm ready to go to bed/leave/do a large amount of cocaine.
 
There's no English trailer. The closest is a German trailer with English voices, and German subs. The reason I mentioned my other post is because it has a link to the game on Konami's US site lol.
 
Man... after watching the new 1up Show I really want to play Bionic Commando's multiplayer >_<

I know alot won't agree with me, but if it's anything like Lost Planet multiplayer, I'll be drool infested.

Yeah Spring Breeze is the remake of the original Dream Land. The DS version of Super Star is supposed to be an enhanced port of the original. To my knowledge none of the original 8 or 9 games were removed but some new games were added in , including one that lets you play as metaknight (I think , don't hold me to that).

I remember watching Toonami a lot through most of middle school and high school myself. A shame that it's been kicked aside like this.

IDK, I don't buy a lot of DS games (and a lot of the ones I do buy are Squeenix titles), so when I go to buy one and see the 29.99 staring up at me, I get a nice little suprise.
 
ive been playin my ds a ton well mostly because i didnt have my laptop so it was either that or my wii to keep me busy( i dont particuarly like playin my 360 without live)

though because of this i finally beat NSMB

btw speaking of ds games has anyone else played locks quest?
games ridiculously fun and addictive that and i love tower defense games

Ah, a while back there was an infusion of console waring threads filled with fanboy nonsense. Felt like CAG was getting more and more like gamefaqs every day.

Seems like things have gotten better lately. Though part of it is probably ditching the Wii and barely touching my DS and staying out of the Nintendo forums for the most part, and deciding on 360 over PS3 and staying out of the Sony forums.

Seems like Sony and Nintendo have a lot more fanboys, probably just because they've been around for a while and this is just MS's second generation in console gaming. I'm sure the MS fanboys will be just as numerous and annoying in a generation or two.

You can lump DS games into three price catagories.

1.The Touch Generations casual games (such as brain age) which are usually 19.99.

2.The Squeenix titles which are 39.99.

3.Everything else , which is 29.99.


Think of it this way Jesus , if you get it and you don't end up liking it , you could always sell it to me.;) I hate the thought of leading someone on about how good a game is and leave someone dissapointed.:)

I swear to god if my family doesn't go to lawton tomorrow I'm going to blow a gasket. They were supposed to meet me there after my choir shit today but they didn't come. I need jeans and video games god dammit!

I'm also going to be pissed if my best friend's whore girlfriend was lying when she said her hot older (she's a senior) sister wanted to take me to some dance. I'm not sure how that is videogame related but it's bugging me.

I haven't watched it yet, but yeah, the vids of Bionic Commando are looking legit. Basically, what Lost Planet should've been. Looks way faster, like the grappling hook mechanic is actually fun to use, and the shooting looks solid. If they get the level design down, they've got a winner.
 
Also watching the 1up show they say Yakuza 2 has a flashback mode... If it's any good I may just get Yakuza 2 then... anyone have something to say about the flashback parts of the game?
 
I just watched some videos of Guilty Gear. That game looks fucking cool! The gamestops I'm going to tomorrow don't have any accent core's according to the online thing or I'd get that instead of KOF.

Flashbacks? You mean at the very beginning where they let you reminisce about everything in the first game? It's helpful, but it really just reminds you of what happened... if you didn't play the first game, you'd probably be sorta lost watching those.

Darth, get KOF XI before Guilty Gear. I prefer GG overall, but it's definitely nowhere near as noob-friendly.

Fracture looks like horse shit.

I'll swing by my local TRU once I get some cash in hand (might be a while) to score part 1 then get part 2 once it goes down by $5 or $10.

it's hot shit in a good way.

I really like how on the 1up show they say that it's good for people who liked JRPGs but kinda got over them... very good discussion.

Also, I freaking love Soul Calibur 4. For some reason I just like it more on the 360.
Also, theres some guy saying Battle Fantasia is the worst thing ever in the games thread. The guys crazy! The hit point thing is the only thing I don't like about it.

Finally tracked down a cheap SFAC for PS2. CC had like 3 of them all of a sudden. Makes me wonder if they found them hiding in back or something. No DraQue IV in sight, but I didn't do much hunting for that.

Time to play some Crysis Warhead. But all this GG and KOFXI talk makes me want to play those too. And I can't forget about Yakuza 2. So many games to play. . .
 
Yakuza 1 is worth it. Then two, double win!

Heck you can even play Yakuza 2, then go back to Yakuza 1 to see what the fuck those motherfuckers were talking about.

I was fuckin' shocked when I managed to find 2 new release games at CC without any issue. Because it's never happened before.

I'm currently thinkin' that I'll hold off on Crysis Warhead till Thursday night, becoz I have a test for business law shit on thursday, so it'll be a good way to celebrate me inevitably killin' dat test.
 
Tell me how big of a frame rate increase you get over the first when you install chac.

I've been tempted by that damned Anniversary collection, but I want to learn SF with IV whenever it comes out.
 
Honestly, I'd just grab the anniversary collection now while it's on sale. That way, you can just go play it whenever you decide to try out 3s and won't have to worry about it being OOP or some shit.

I love "true" CAGs who are like "yeah, it'll be there if I wanna play it," and then they realize "oh wait, it's $100 now. Shit."

Shit daroga talking about selling his PSP has got me thinking about that too.. Mine is all custom firmware pimped out, but since I decided to stop stealing retro games and build a real collection, I haven't been using it much. I do now have all of my UMD games saved on the memory stick which is nice, and I do really like OutRun 2006. I'll probably never play Valkyrie Profile, though. Castlevania is good too..


But it has Mega Man Powered Up, sooo I'm keeping it. The fact that there are ZERO worthwhile titles for the PSP coming out in the next like 9 months is so awesome.

I'll probably go ahead and order it sometime next week. I want to spend some time with KOF first though.

I should be set till the october games if all goes well tomorrow. Should come home with Yakuza, Kof, and Burnout Paradise. That's enough gaming to last a while lol.

EDIT: You're totally right chac. It amazes me when people complain about not being able to pay for shit like doctor's appointments when 10 posts early they post about all the games they just bought.

I'm a little bit too frugal with my cash honestly. Even if I really want something, it takes a lot of talking myself into buying it to buy it, even on items as cheap as a 15 dollar Street Fighter game. That's because I don't have a job yet though.

I don't know how well it works, but DAMN thats hideous.
Do you need a stick for PS2? Otherwise you should just get the HORI one thats for the PS3 if your a noob like me.
If your a pro though, ask MM.
 
Azumangaman, yea I have had the game for awhile now. I think it's pretty decent. A lot of ppl on SRK and other fighting game forums are enjoying it.

See, that's the tough thing for me. I've got so many excellent, excellent fighting games that I just dunno about picking up something like Battle Fantasia now. I mean, I know it'll be enjoyable for a few days, but it feels like Arc's minor-league title before their next awesome game.
