AC:WW Discussion Thread - Visits/Trades/etc.

Yep, and there's a triforce too, which is also sweet (when you push it - you have to see). Was that in the GC version? There's some cool Mario themed stuff that we will hopefully get later too. I visited someone who had obviously hacked the hell out of their AC and they had a room full of Mario stuff, in addition to the coin that we got a few weeks back from Mr. Iwata.

One of the Mario items was a bullet bill that shoots across your room when pushed.
 
If anyone is on anytime soon Please let me know. I just got the game and Tom Nooks store is closed to today so im pretty bored and wated to check out this WiFi. Please PM me so we can set a time. Also does the other person have to be on at the same time or can you go to there city whenever?

Son of a Beesting!!! I woke up this morning, turned on my town, and guess who's STILL here! That damn Roscoe decided NOT to move out for some reason unknown to me. I even told him he should go yesterday when i talked to him.

Well, looks like you have another chance to snag him, or at least give him some more stuff that he'll decide he doesnt want anymore.

Leenie, I finally made it back to the guy with all the Mario theme stuff I mentioned, but then my damn Internet connection crapped out on me. Booted me and my daughter from separate towns. Grrr....

Anyway, I took one really crappy photo. I need to figure out how to take better photos with my digicam of my DS :D.

This shows some of the Mario-themed stuff:



You can see the Pirahna plant in the pipe, the spinning flames at the top, and right next to the flames is the bullet bill launcher. On the wall is a Mario wallpaper.

His back room is full of the Mushroom series stuff, and he has more Nintendo stuff upstairs.

As you can see, he's also set to summer so I wanted to get back outside and catch some fish. Now he's full up. I just missed catching a shark there the other day :whistle2:(.

That was the first time that I realized you can send messages in a bottle that might go out to other towns. I thought the bottles only worked in Tag Mode.

I really need to get the damn guide for this game.

Make sure you keep checking throughout the day. The prices change. My Nook went from 70-something in the morning to 189 at the end of the day.

I've gotten ones from my daughter, and I've had other people who I visit get them from me. This one was the first "friend of a friend" one I've ever gotten though. Tiramisu visited me, and she must have visited this "Selder" before (or he came to her town, or maybe they even just met in a 3rd town). So that's kind of cool - it is not as random as the wandering cat, but a little more interesting than just getting them directly from people you visit.

I agree it is pretty cool. I visited Tiramisu when Selder was there so that must be how I got mine.

Now that I know how it works (sort of), I'll be sending a bunch of them out hoping that CAGs will receive them.

Since you are pretty active here I'll keep you on - please add my code if so inclined. I'm running out of room so I'll have to clear off all the other inactive ones (from the AC friends code list on CAG). They really should have allowed many more friend codes to be listed.

hey vgamergrl, i love the tiles, but doesnt that make it impossible for you and others to run in your town?

also, tomcould, i can NEVER connect to your town for some reason. it just seems to be your town too, as i have no problem connecting to others seconds after trying yours. :(

Thanks ^_^ No trouble running: You can use the "R" button to run without picking up tiles or items :D

Dang, vgamergirl's town looks awesome. How do the tiles work? Is this a hack or is it something normally available in game?

Not a hack... you can place clothing tiles on the ground. Each character can hold 8 patterns, so if you make 4 characters.... then you'd have 32 possible tiles! It's a pain in the ass constantly switching between 4 characters... thus this is a slooow-going project. I'm home sick and can't think of anything more constructive to do ;)

Making them is the easiest part. I just use this program:

I found pixel art from LOZ: ALTTP via google images, resized them in photoshop, then ran them through that decalmaker site. Then you just copy the pattern at Able Sisters. :) I should also credit Artic Ferret from AXA for posting the bush tile.

I'll open my gates in a few hours; I'm gonna take a break :)

I'm using a cannon elf... it's 4 years old :p

You must have the "flower icon" selected.... which is ideal for close-ups. Also, the pictures come out very clear if the room is dark. 'Hope that helps!

Well crap, that's exactly what I am doing. The A40 never does focus well when the lighting is dim, but I can't get it to focus regardless of lighting conditions, settings, etc. I may try my DV camcorder and then pull stills from that. Talk about a PITA just to get a picture!
