Did you not read what I wrote? You can't blame "scammers" since the package has not been shown as having been delivered, so the possibility of me "scamming" them doesn't exist, and thus my situation has no relation to what you mentioned.
They finally wrote back, and insultingly offered to make me a "one time exception", like I did something wrong when THEY were at fault. I called OnTrac, the carrier, and they don't even operate in Indiana. Yet Amazon says the package was received by the carrier in Indianapolis on the morning of 9/15.
The link the rep sent me in the e-mail took me to the exact same page I went to before, which said, "This item needs special handling. Please contact Customer Service to return this item." That was why I contacted customer service in the first place, and they just sent me right back to where I started!
Here's the e-mail:

So, basically, they're just giving me the runaround.
I guess this is reason enough for you to never shop from Amazon again.
I had no problems getting it delivered; ordered it Monday, it shipped Wednesday and got here Thursday afternoon. Once they determine it's actually lost, they'll do something. Amazon offers some of the best customer service I've seen. And again, it's 3 days. 72 hours. Not that big of a deal, they aren't asking to wait a full week or a month.
Not to mention, look how fast they're even responding. It took 3 effin days for Cengage to respond about CDs I ordered for class.
