I've played Red, Blue, Yellow, Crystal, Silver, Snap, Stadium, Gold, Sapphire and Pearl. Snap was my favorite. I had a full set of the base, jungle and first edition fossil cards. I went to see the first movie in the theatre so that I could get a Mew card. I drove over 60 miles rountrip to get to the nearest Game Keeper store to buy first edition Fossil cards. I once owned a stuffed Eevee. I still refuse to let my wife throw away my Charmander and Pikachu Christmas ornaments and they go on the tree every year.
Yellow had surfing Pikachu.

THREAD. OVER.
Snap had a surfing Pikachu. And you could save the picture and take it to a store to have it printed out on stickers. The Kangaskan picture I printed was my favorite.

You lie, Jesus Christ didn't play pokemon! They didn't even HAVE gameboys back then...

Also, My first Pokecperience was with Blue also, in the 8th grade. I picked blue completely based on how badass Blastoise looked on the cover.

Alright, I'll be serious this time.

I remember picking up Pokemon Red version in early january in 1999 after spending a weeked at the coast with a friend that had both version and let me play one on the trip. From that moment, I was instantly hooked. A month later after I had bouth red version and saved up enough allowance, I went back to my local wal-mart and purchased blue version and played through it just as excited as I was the first time I played through the story in red. Then in october of that same year, Pokemon yellow hit store shelves and I just had to have the latest iteration in the pokemon series. Played through the same story (slightly altered though) for a 3rd time and still couldn't get enough.

Then once Gold/Silver hit, I remember the day I bought gold version. I had begged and begged my mother to let me buy it and I promised I wouldn't start it until I had finished my homework that day. Finally being able to crack open that box and start a brand new and fresh journey in the world of Pokemon had never felt so great. Months later I picked up Silver and trudged through the same story but with just as much as enjoyment.

Ruby/Sapphire finally hit and this is where I had almost left pokemon behind. Being very late in finally getting one of the versions and after playing through it, I felt that something was lacking. I just didn't get the same feeling from playing through the Ruby/Sapphire story as I had when I played through Red/Blue/Gold/Silver. The ruby/sapphire series IMHO is quite possibly the worst pokemon rpg to date. It just felt like step backwards in the series and made me almost completely dismiss the series as a whole.

Finall Diamond/Pearl hit and I immediately became rehooked. Playing through Diamond on launch day felt just like playing through red for the first time, it just had that magic effect to bring me back into the series. Being such an improvement over ruby/sapphire and bringing back some old elements from gold/silver while also fine tuning and balancing the combat system, diamond and pearl felt like the breath of fresh air the series needed.

Now 10 pokemon rpgs, 10 years and over a thousand hours later, pokemon still has that addictive gameplay and charm to keep me in it.

Pocket Monsters was like a drug for me. After I realize I could not transfer my pokemon to the new SR packs I went insane. God I miss pokemon so much, Just one more hit just one more.

I kept saying cloyster insteads of oysters, reverting to plants as living beings, and even before pokemon there was that tamigotchi craze where I spent hours and even wrote a song about it when my tamigotchi died....Oh god can you feel the powerrrrrrrr CHhhharriiiizzzzarrrddddd...Hahahahahahahahahahha..Oh mAnn

All I can say at least I not the kid who won the world championships. Go rest his fat gasfilled flabby soul.

I can still feel the rush of a battle right now:lol:

Ahh, sweet, sweet pokemon. I'm 13, like Sponge, so I wasnt around when the first games came out. Nevertheless, my cheapskate parents bought me a GB color and pokemon red when I was about 7 .It was my very first game (*sniff*) and I was addicted since. over the years, me and my two brothers have owned every 'proper' handheld pokemon RPG, along with snap, mystery dungeon: blue, and pinball (GBC version)
This $$$$a can't be serious. We had divide in our school over this shit. I remember I broke up with Hannah Truitt because her brother had Pokemon Blue and he bought Yellow just to piss me off.

I MEAN WHO THE fuck OWNED YELLOW?
All the kids who were out of the loop and wanted to be cool and join the fad bought Yellow...

Pokemon Blue was the very first game I ever bought with my own money. I think it was grade 3. Ahh memories...

After that one I went with Gold and then Diamond. Gold is my favorite of the series. Diamond I got the the Pokemon League, but never finished. My team of all Steel type kept getting owned, but I didn't want to grind.

I just picked up a copy of Leaf Green for $1.50 at a garage sale and have just started playing that.

I MEAN WHO THE fuck OWNED YELLOW?

I for one brought yellow before it ever came out in the USA. Me and somebody else chiped in to buy it and I had to pay back my freind the money to keep it. It has all kinds of coo features:whistle2:#
