Update: Ok, so one other person reported this as well already but I went out and looked around a for a bit. ALL new PS1 games were being repriced at the first store that I went to. All games were $6.99 or $4.99.

Titles of note:
Castlevania Symphony of the Night gh $6.99
Chrono Cross gh $6.99
Inyasha $6.99
Legend of Dragoon gh $6.99
Syphon Filter 2 gh $6.99
Mega Man Legends 2 $6.99
Grand Theft Auto Collectors Edition (all 3 games) $6.99
Mega Man X5 $6.99


Don't forget New PS1 Titles are Buy One Get One Free (Thanks Indiana) but only at GameRush locations.

when i saw this thread i remembered that i saw a castlevania:sotn last night at the GR that i went to. so i went there today to pick up my gta preorder and it was still there. i got castlevania and gran turismo 2 because there was no other games worth getting. i hope i can come across a chrono cross
 
My regular Blockbuster had Chrono Cross and Final Fantasy Tactics.
(I have an extra of each if anyone is interested)

No B1G1 tho.

They did have Dark Forces, and another Chrono Cross.
A few others as well.

All were marked $6.99
 
Is Metal Solid Gear or any 4 disc game is also $6.99?
If yes, So It is for ALL Ps1 game ($6.99) after they scan it.
I will check tomorrow.

the blockbuster in Novato, Calfiornia, only had a handful of new PS1 games, but they were all marked $6.99, I remember seeing,

Chrono Cross (GH 6.99)
Metal Gear Solid (GH 6.99)
Some Atari Classics game (6.99)
Final Fantasy Tactics (GH 6.99)

might get some of them later in the week if they are still there.

Woops. I need to learn how to read.
I'll be checking out my local BB tomarrow to see if they have FF VIII. It's the only PSX FF that I don't have.

I know Coral Ridge BB is out of FF VIII.

I picked up a Silent Hill at another of my blovkbusters. There wasn't really much to begin with, but I got a few good ones. Would it be worth it to get a Street Fighter Alpha 3?
 
OK, I know it's a stretch, but I am going to throw my request out there. If anyone can pick me up 4 of the following games with the $6.99 b1g1 it would be much appreciated. I could do something like $25 shipped.

Long Beach, Ca stores seem to have a few copies of Castlevania SOTN available. Store on Bellflower and Stearns has one, store on 2nd st in Belmont shores has one, and the store on Long Beach Blvd and Roosevelt has one.

My store had it for $6.99.

They had:

FFVIII
FFIX
FF Tactics
Chrono Cross
Dark Forces
Metal Gear Solid
Mortal Combat Trilogy
Gran Tourismo 2

and some other titles. Most were Greatest Hits versions (if applicable). Also, all of the games were marked $6.99 with new stickers over the old prices.
 
As soon as this thread showed up, people around here ransacked the local Gamerush's on PS One games... there used to be a ton, now there's barely any.

Wonder how long it'll be before they end up at the flea market / Ebay =/

He was talking about the b1g1 deal (atleast I'm pretty sure). Stand alone Blockbusters don't seem to be doing the b1g1 promo.
 
my blockbuster never has sh00. the only good things i have seen there are 6 new ps2 streetfighter 30 anniversary controllers for 12. i'm planning on getting one once they drop the price since i am not planning on using it.

Giz,

I am headed to the other 3 in my area tommorow, PS1 games sell here very slowly. On another note I went back to the one in Homestead and spoke to a manager. They were told to send back all remaining PS1 games they had. I bought the last one (the FFT) so get these games while you all can. If what he says is true they will be headed to GRs.

Anyone else come across the Grand Theft Auto collection for $6.99? I saw one at Gamerush and picked it up along with Um Jammer Lammy so you might want to keep a lookout for that one as well.
 
I'm hoping to come across a copy of Legend of Dragoon at one of the stores near me. So far, I've checked 2 with no luck. One store only had 2 new PS1 games (Road Rash 3D and a James Bond game). The other had a pretty wide selection (Syphon Filter 3, Jedi Power Battles, Gran Turismo 1 & 2, Rainbow Six, Spyro:
Y.O.D., Medal of Honor, Chrono Cross, etc.) but didn't have the one title I wanted, Legend of Dragoon.
 
Yesterday I picked up a lot of PS1 titles.

Resident Evil 2 gh $6.99
Grand Theft Auto Collector's Edition $6.99
Mega Man X5 $6.99

Also I took up Mega Man Legends 2 and Inuyasha and they were tagged as new games. But when I got them up there they didn't have any shrinkwrap on them...the guy told me "I can't sell them to you new." So he sold them to me used...

I used the 5 for $15 on preowned PS1 games:
Inuyasha (new, still has the seal sticker on top)
Mega Man Legends 2 (ditto as Inuyasha)
Covert Ops: Nuclear Dawn (no manual)
Resident Evil 3 (no manual)
Dave Mirra's Freestyle BMX Maximum Remix (complete)

They had a copy of X-Files...and I did snag it, but I inspected on the spot and it was missing the first disc (it's a 4 disc game)...so yeah. Anyways, they told me that it's gonna get trashed and they couldn't sell it to me for a reduced price...so I asked for the manual and they gave it to me. I thought about taking the inserts but then balked at it.

I wouldn't mind a copy of SFA3.
 
So far ive snagged 2 copies of Castlevania...hoping to find some more at other stores, but I doubt it. All the GR's are sold out of these.
 
I've checked about 6 blockbusters and only 1 had any new ps1 games. I picked up chrono cross. I'm going to check some more because I really want castlevania.
 
Picked up Megaman X5 and Megaman 8 gh today. Lots of those left in stock at the Westchester, CA store. Also lots of Rainbow 6, Scooby Doo, etc.

I forgot to check for wavebird battery packs but I found some at the Culver City store. So I picked up one of those there.
