Alpha Protocol $39.99 NEW X360/PS3 at Gamestop.com

Thoroughly enjoyed the fuck out of this game. Never encountered many of the bugs and glitches that have run rampant across many other gamers experiences. Hell I think I enjoyed it more the second time through, because I'd thought I'd seen all angles of the story...hoooo boy was I WRONG. Besides, 40 bucks...trade it in right now on amazon for 31.25. So you'd be out nine bucks. Chance it.

$34.99 both systems in store at GS. I got one with the B2G1 but the trade in on Amazon is 31.25 so I locked in my trade in...got the last copy my store had. Love that you have 7 days to ship, gives me some time to try it out beforehand. Could flip 3 copies to Amazon for a $25ish profit if you found 3 copies in the store I guess...though Amazon now has it new for $40 so the TIV may be going down very soon.

I can't say that I'd buy this for $35. It's destined for a quick trip to the bargain bin. I'd guess by the end of the year it's going to be $20 at most places. Next spring they'll be clearancing it out of the stores. I definitely wouldn't waste my money on it when Mass Effect 2 is only 20 bucks...
I'll bite when they pay me to take it, hur hur hur.

Damn that was fast though. Wasn't this game just released a couple of weeks ago? Biggest flop of the year so far?
Dark Void, Dead to Rights: Retribution, Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, Shrek: Forever After, Blur and Iron Man 2 are feeling pretty left out of the biggest flop of the year discussion right now...

In one week, Alpha Protocol outsold the run-to-date of all of those (relatively) high profile titles [except Dark Void was said to have an extremely large budget, which Alpha Protocol will definitely pass in sales].
Blur is far from being a "flop", I definitely wouldnt put it in the same class as the other stinkers you have there.
Blur has sold (roughly) 50,000 units thus far, Alpha Protocol was over 70,000 in week 1. Each of the PGR games from Blur's developer sold over 500,000 units domestic and 1.4 million worldwide for PGR3 and 1.95 for PGR4. That's a huge bust considering the hype Activision tried to create surrounding the acquisition of Bizarre Creations.

Not saying it's a bad game - I've yet to play it so I can't judge - just that it has sold very poorly.

I should qualify this remark by noting those figures are just from the 360 version. On PS3 Blur has sold just over 30,000 and Alpha Protocol did a bit over 50,000 for the first week alone.
You must work for SEGA.......... I apologize for my ignorance, I'm not as smart as you are.... I'm sure you are a genius
What does that have to do with anything? The only reason people rag on Sega is due to Sonic Team continuously failing to give us a decent Sonic in the last 10 years. Just because of that, idiots like you see the Sega logo first & magically assume it'll be garbage as well. Pathetic really.

Yeah, I agree with that - Bayonetta and Yakuza 3 are two of the best games of the year.

I picked up AP as part of the B2G1 and beat one playthrough in two days. Promptly traded it back in as its one of the $25 trade in titles so got 27.20 back in credit. I enjoyed it and there is a lot of replay value, however with how big my back log is I couldnt see playing it again. Definitely not as bad as its made out to be.

Fallout New Vegas should be fine for what it is, its not a "new" game. Think of it as a full blown expansion of Fallout 3 with separate story, since the engine and the system is largely unchanged. Obsidian (or any other developer) could still mess it up, so I hope Bethesda gave them the message not to reinvent the wheel.

I'm looking forward to it, and the hardcore/realistic mode or whatever its called. Be nice to have that on console finally, instead of having to mod it on PC. Might be able to skip the PC version of this one.
I'll wait for the end of the year gamefly sale. This will probably hit under $10 by then.
Good call I think I'll do the same. I love the idea of the game and all and would like to play it regardless of the lackluster reviews that it has received, but $10-$15 is all that I'm willing to pay.

It's now $34.99 used in-store. With the B2G1 and an edge card it comes out to $21 each for 3 games. Alpha Protocol is on the guaranteed $25 trade-in value list so if you don't like it, you can sell it for $4 more.
