I think they actually made a mistake. Since they have the original Rock Band for the PS3 on sale for $7 along with the snowboarding title.

I bought it when it first came out. The bike is cool and all but save the $18 man and just get the Blu-Ray Movie on its own. I think it was $12 just for the movie?

Use the $18 and get a game and the regular movie.
 
I just got a PS3 a few months ago (annoyingly before the pricedrop), so I was hoping to get the original Drakes's Fortune. It figures it goes on sale while I'll be locked in to family dinner.

I think the "things locking into Shipping Soon" thing is pretty inevitable; my understanding is that that status usually means Amazon's got your product physically in a box somewhere, possibly with the mail-order label on it, and so you can't cancel because they don't want to go physically locate it in a giant stack of boxes.

The whole Black Friday thing makes this happen quicker for, generally, non-devious reasons. The constant discounts likely leads to a constant onslaught of orders, so I wouldn't be surprised if they're physically packaging things 24 hours a day to keep up and running tons of extra staff. They want to get through as much as they can, so when they can start physically shipping again it's just a matter of loading pallets of boxes on a truck, not packaging and loading.

Which still sucks when you're locked in at a higher price on an item, but the alternative for them would likely involve delayed orders and people flipping out over that.

just get fallout 3, there's so much content in the main game as it is, all of the expansions are pretty much side areas, and only 2 of them are even worth buying. At 20 bucks now, if you want more you can buy 2 DLC for 10 bucks each, if you're not that into fallout 3, you only spent 20 bucks
 
Gotta bunch of Lightning deals in my cart. Decided to pull the trigger on Dragon's Age and Resident Evil. There's a promotion with Discover knocking $10 bucks off $50 purchases of select items. These two games were eligible, so on top of the lightning deals I got another $10 off.

I tried doing the same thing with two other eligible lightning games, Madden and Brutal Legend. Got to the confirmation page and was eligible for ANOTHER Discover $10 off. Looks like it's per purchase and multiple ones at that.

Just passing that bit of info on....

Thanks, I went with this. I don't know that I'll be craving more more more.... 10% bing cashback at best buy sealed it.

shit! I ordered personal trainer walking when it was the DotD and used my $10 credit to bring it to 19.98. now it's 19.98 normal price.. oh well :\

but its a sign that maybe more ds games will drop tonight!!
