i am not sure how the majority of you keep getting that
"Amazon increased my lighting deal to a normal price"
problem. All this time, my cart has been empty. whenever i lightning deal popped out, i clicked the add to cart and got it.
I never had a single problem of that nature either.

Before you checkout, make sure you look at the numbers.
Yes, it will state the current price that Amazon offers but the lightning deal discount is somewhere in there.

it should say, for instant

Arkham Asylum - 52.68$

However, if you scroll down and look, i believe, the bottom right side of your payment window, it should say something like

Normal Price: 52.68
Lightning Deal: (-21.69)
Tax (0.00)
Shipping& Handling (0.00)
Total Price: 29.99

and some other fees that somehow add to 0.00.
Depending on your state, you get a tax and your shipping and handling if you own the prime account or choose a faster shipping.

I have always checked all my lightning deals and the payment statement before i made the purchase and i have seen the discount and the price in the places where they belong.

Even after i made my purchase, i have seen the normal price the item goes but if i keep looking, i find that price isnt the one that i payed. The one that i payed has been gone through the lightning deal discount and i had payed a smaller amount.

Seriously. guys.....
 
Haha WTF @ the PS3 controller deal! It's a whole $1.01 less than before, lame attempt at deceiving people into thinking they're getting a bigger deal by showing that old, old price... Then again they seem to be doing that a lot.

Newegg deal for Dualshock 3 still a better deal. No tax and free ship for NYC CAG'ers. And plus 10% Bing cashback bring it to $35 for any CAG from NYC. Radioshack and Amazon charge tax for NYC and not to mention Radioshack shipping brings the DS3 up to $39. Newegg still best deal for those looking for a dualshock3.

It was announced and confirmed that this deal would be AC1 and not AC2, anyone who thought otherwise was just ignoring facts and should not be disappointed.
 
lol, I thought maybe it would be ACII but insteas it is the first. Yes 10 bucks is a great price but I would rather pay $40 on a deal for the sequel than 10 bucks on the flawed gameplay of the original.

and the Dual Shock 3 is $40? that's how much it was yesterday. Still a nice deal but Amazon got beaten by radio Shack of all places.

AA for $30 is a fantastic deal though. These lightning deals have been underhwelming from Amazon but by scanning through the prices of most of thei other games, there is quite a bit of money to be saved.

agreed that "legendary fighter" is going to be sfiv. tekken 6 (non-le and le) and kof do not say they will be in limited quantities for a limited time today. my guess is it will be $20.

On another note that DS3 deal is extremely disappointing. It's not a terrible price but a $1.01 discount from their normal price??? Also where are all the farts I was promised from the tag for this thread!?

Correct, but it seems you can make another account (or use a family member's) and put on the same credit card without any problems.

Hey I got tricked on this too. even the customer service rep I talked to was scratching his head at first. It's not clear that the deal went through when you look at your confirmation email. They could have done a better job is all.
 
If you have claimed a lightning deal how long can you hold it if it sells out? I have AC in my cart but wanted to wait to add Fallout 3 in a hour so I can combine and get the discover $10 off.

Otherwise I'm pre-ordering Mario Galaxy 2 to get the money off...

How long can I keep the dual shock 3 in my cart at the current price? I need to add some filler to get it over $50 but don't want to use it just yet.

Actually, I had a three month amazon prime trial a couple years ago, then got another one month trial about a week ago. I don't know why it let me do that but I just went to the prime webpage, clicked on the trial, and it applied it to my account. I'm definitely not gonna question it. ;)

Management probably knows that a lot of people are buying their bundle and will want/need a second controller so no pressure for them to lower it to compete since most won't look around and Radio Shack is now most likely a non-issue..

A little under six hours or until the deal is used up, looks like it's going fast so you're probably not going to have more than an hour or two.

Most of the fireworks were the BF deals, there wasn't much if any after. It was really good last year though, alot of games for cheap, and accessories my god. Got the nyko frontman guitar for 5 dollars shipped

There's been a couple of really good deals. So far I've bought AA for $30 and jumped on that 10 blu ray 007 boxed set for 59.99. I'm actually kind of glad they aren't going all out this year. But I am hoping they get Borderlands, cross edge, and demon's souls down to $30 over the weekend.
 
I've been watching these lightning deals for the past couple days but for some reason I can't find the lighting deal page this morning. Even clicking on the link for it the lighting deals aren't there.

I'm not sure where you get your information (a hat maybe?). You have until midnight to place the order if you claimed the item.
