IRHari, yea looks good, way better than the $59 and $89 Tom Tom ones at Walmart which I almost bought, hell I bought it on my phone while waiting in line to pay. Only bad thing is that MSN Direct is going out of service in 2012 but still its going to do its #1 job

as for GTA 4 its not a terrible game its very good but does have some problems mainly the who friends thing where you have to constantly keep people happy by going out to drink, eat, play pool, etc or else you can't progress in the game. Its so stupid and annoying

Not tax and free shipping (for many), to go along with not having to go out and deal with crowds puts amazon above and beyond in most instances.

No one else had ToV for $15, Batman: AA CE for $50, Tekken 6 Bundle for $60, DJ Hero for $95 (plus $40 credit), ToS or Klonoa for $9.99 (to my knowledge).

Even with the just PMs, no other store could claim they had each game from the price Amazon did except for Walmart who PMs others deals w/an ad.

I'm sorry they didn't have anything to keep you from complaining, but to say they didn't go above and beyond is pretty much wrong.

I have to say I'm a little disappointed with this year's showing. I realize it's not over yet, but my haul for this year is Afro Samurai (PS3), the Dark Knight Blu-ray (I have yet to get an HDTV...), and some $13.99 earbuds.
Still hoping for a deal on Modern Warfare 2 or God of War Collection. Assassins Creed 2 would make a nice stocking stuffer as well :/

I wouldn't say above and beyond. The game side of things was good, but it wasn't great. However, they did have a lot of great Blu-Rays/movies/tv deals, which I bought a lot of. I did get some good games though, but I was expecting a little more since it was Amazon and it was Black Friday. I am happy with what I got though (Batman for 30 was great for me and some 10 buck games), but I can see how people could be disappointed. A lot of these lightning deals just flat out sucked.

This is basically completely true, Amazon didn't go above and beyond (compared to last year) simply because their competition was quite awful this year. Amazon bested them all, which this year isn't saying much.

Quick, someone open a retail chain this time next year and offer Left 4 Dead 3, Alan Wake, and Heavy Rain for $10, have only 1 copy each to sell. Amazon will best that next year.

That's pretty much my sentiment too. No tax, free shipping with Prime trial, and Discover discounts really added up for me this year. Not having to stand in line for a PS3 bundle absolutely rocked as well.

I didn't get a deal for Punch-Out or a Professor Layton game. And I was hoping for Guitar Hero: Smash Hits or Metallica would drop to $20 or less, but, all in all, Amazon was easily tops for me this past week. I love the GTA: Chinatown Wars price and some of the others were quite good or else I wouldn't have bit. Also, as I said last night, I would have liked to see some of this spring's DS RPGs get discounted (Valkyrie Profile, Shin Megami Tensei, Knights in the Nightmare, Fire Emblem, Dragon Quest V, Avalon Code, etc).

FTR, TWENY at $10 is a great price but I got it from Nebraska Furniture Mart last year for a great deal and spent almost an entire day playing it last Christmas Eve in Charlotte, waiting for O'Hare to open up after an ice storm. Still one of my better recent gaming memories of date- that's such a fun and original game.
