Here is a list of all the known games on Amazon that come with a gift card or gaming credit. If the Amazon price decreases between your order time and the end of the day of the release date, you'll receive the lowest price. Release date delivery is available on many of these titles, which is free for Amazon Prime members.

The status of these offers fluctuates. Please read the details on the Amazon product page before ordering.

Amazon Credit & GC Deals FAQ by Lucian[hiddenlist]

1. What is Amazon game credit? How is it different than a gift card?
Amazon game credit is a discount off a new order only. This means it cannot be applied to an existing order, unlike a gift card that can be applied at any time. Occasionally, a CAG will report that customer service applied a game credit balance to an existing order, but this is extremely YMMV.

In addition, game credits can only be used on gaming items. This generally includes all games and accessories for consoles, handhelds, and PC shipped and sold by Amazon. Credits usually cannot be used on systems (either console or handheld). As far as digital content is concerned:
- Xbox Live codes sent via email - No
- Xbox Live physical points cards - Yes
- PSN codes sent via email - Yes (confirmed by grantme 7/3/2011)
- PSN physical wallet cards - Yes (someone please confirm via PM)
- PC game downloads - Not sure (someone please advise via PM)

2. What about the expiration date? Does this mean I can't use it on a preorder that releases after the expiration date?
The expiration date is the date by which a qualifying order must be placed. The order does not need to ship by that date; however, if you cancel the order after the the credit expires, it is gone and cannot be recovered.

3. Can I stack game credit?
Yes, you can stack game credit to your heart's content. However, remember that each game credit has an expiration date and must be used prior to the expiration date. Currently, Amazon does not provide information on your credit balance through their website, so either track it yourself or call customer service for assistance.

4. When will I get my game credit or gift card?
The exact timeframe is specified on the product page in the section detailing the game credit, but it is usually 2 business days. The game credit or gift card will be deposited into your account and you should receive an email notification once that occurs. Of course, it is possible for email delivery failure, so you can check your account depending on the type of bonus:
- Gift card - Go to your account and check your gift card balance
- Game credit - See FAQ #9 below 'How can I check my credit balance?'

Please wait the expected time frame before contacting customer service asking for your credit.

5. Can I use game credit and gift cards on the same order?
Yes.

6. I want to order two (2) copies of Newborn Ninja Assassins 2 because of the $15 game credit. Will I get $30 in credit?
No. Game credit offers are limited to 1 per household per title, so you will only receive 1 game credit.

7. What if I order one (1) copy of Newborn Ninja Assassins 2 for PS3 and one (1) copy for Xbox 360? Will I get 2 game game credits now?
No. CAGs have reported only receiving 1 credit per title even though the titles are for different platforms (i.e., have different SKUs).

8. A credit was just added to a game that I already had preordered. Do I need to cancel my order to qualify for the credit?
No. To date, all game credit promotions have had verbiage indicating that This offer will be extended to all existing pre-orders.. To be 'safe', you may want to get a screenshot of the promotion as proof should you need to contact customer service after the game ships.

9. How can I check my credit balance?
Place a preorder for any title to see how much promotional credit is applied. Cancel the order and the promotional credit will be released back to your account as long as it has not yet expired.

Also, Amazon recently added the ability to view your balance on the MP3 download screen. Go to any MP3 download page and look for a blue splat with a $ in it; it's right below the purchase button. Click the link next to the blue splat that says 'Redeem a gift card or promotion code & view balance' and a pop-up will display available credit. Videogame credits will display under the category 'SOFTWARE/VIDEO GAMES', but may contain credit applicable only to software downloads.

Other Amazon-related questions

1. Why does my order say the estimated ship date is a week after release?
Amazon prioritizes shipping for Prime members and those who paid for shipping over those taking advantage of their Free Super Saver Shipping (FSSS) option. Sometimes this means that a preorder will not ship for a few days after release, though I've never had an order take as long as they estimate. I expect their estimates accomplish 2 things:
- It covers their worst case scenario backlog and makes you feel better when it ships earlier than estimated.
- It's a nice marketing ploy to get you to either pay for shipping or sign-up for Amazon Prime.
11.gif

2. My Amazon Prime or Prime trial is going to expire in a few days. What happens to my existing orders or preorders?
Amazon Prime (whether a full membership or a trial) applies to all orders placed during the Prime membership period. This means that if you preorder an item that ships months after your Prime expires, that order will still be covered under your Prime benefits (i.e., free standard or 2-day shipping and sometimes release-date delivery). If an item becomes eligible for Release Date Delivery (RDD) and you already have it preordered with 2-day shipping, it will automatically be upgraded to RDD even if your Prime has since expired. However, if you need to change the payment method (e.g., if your credit card has expired) on an order after your Prime has expired, your Prime benefits on that order will be lost. In this situation, you can apply a gift card balance without affecting Prime benefits.

I have theory about why some people are not getting their credits from Amazon. I've noticed that these individuals tend to do quite a bit of canceling and reordering. Also, it seems to be the same people that continually have the problem, yet others of us (like me) never do.

Amazon only allows one game credit per game per person. That is key. Amazon also caches data.

Many users have a game preordered that offers a credit. They often cancel these orders so that they can reorder them with a credit they just earned from a recently shipped game. It is possible that canceling a preorder puts the cancel command into a queue that handles general housekeeping. As we know CAGs are quite fast, they often have the game reordered within a minute of the cancellation. It's possible that when they place their second order, Amazon sees their previous credit still in the system, so it *really* doesn't flag their new order as elligible for the credit. (There is many other possible variations of how cached data could cause this if there are cancelations and reorders.)

Just a programmer, who fights with cached data on their job every day, babbling what he sees.
In addition to the $30 Kinect stuff, you can order the Kinect + Dance Masters and get $20 Credit

I'm afraid it's not "in addition to the $30 Kinect stuff," but INSTEAD of the $30 Kinect credit.

The new Kinect deals only applies to Dance Masters.

"Pre-order Kinect & "Dance Masters", Get a $20 Video Games Credit
Pre-order the Kinect Sensor with "Kinect Adventures!" and the new Kinect game "Dance Masters" to receive $20 off a future video game purchase. The promotional code will be placed directly into your Amazon.com account within 2 business days after the product ships."

Totally blows. Was going to apply my MOH credit to a bunch of credit I already have and practically get Kinect for free. Oh well, guess it'll go towards a game instead. (Which was Amazon's plan all along!)

Got my Medal of Honor credit at 6 AM this morning. This is one of the few games I ordered while the promo appeared on the product page (not earlier).

For me, I know that:
a) If I preorder during the time the promotion is active on the product page, I get the promotional credit almost immediately after ship.
b) If I preorder prior to the promotional period by a few months and it applies to existing preorders, I have to wait longer, but will usually get the credit automatically.
c) If I preorder closer to a year in advance, I'll probably never get the credit unless I contact customer service.

That's pretty much been my experience with these promotional credits over the past year or so.

I agree, their system for keeping up with the credits just sucks.

Not sure when it went live, but there's a promo for $20 future credit and a 13-track music mix with purchase of EA Sports Active 2 on 360, PS3, and Wii.

Here's the main search link.

The 360 version works with Kinect, and the Wii version works with the Motion Controller, but no word on using Move with the PS3 edition. (I'm thinking not.)

My wife has been extremely resilient to gaming in general, though DJ Hero and Rock Band piqued her interest. This should seal the deal!

"Pre-order Bonus
Pre-order EA Sports Active 2 and get $20 off a future video game purchase and a 13-track music mix featuring tracks from Hadouken!, Pint Shot Riot, BT, and Grammy Award winner Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins. The promotional credit code will be placed directly into your Amazon.com account within 2 business days after the product ships. The music access code will be e-mailed within five business days after the product ships. Offer valid when shipped and sold by Amazon.com. Promotion valid on all existing pre-orders. Amazon reserves the right to change or terminate this promotion at any time. Limit one per household."

I'm looking at all the reviews for MoH and I kinda regret purchasing it. If I decide to return it to Amazon will they take back the $20 giftcard I have already received in an email?

FYI, MOH is still up but easy to miss since it's in the lower promotional area. Also, I must have ordered the PC version back before they had official pricing because mine shipped at $49.99. Anyone else get this awesome deal?

Any chance of another credit being added to Kinect? I have no interest in the Dance Masters game so that deal is out of the question

I have never cancelled a game with credit attached even once and still, I am about 50/50 for getting them automatically and having to call or e-mail them. I usually wait at least 5-6 days to contact them, so it's not like it was some weird delay because of business days, etc...

Which is why I pointed out some of the findings of this game a few days ago in this topic. I knew the review embargo was there for a reason. And some of the extremely generous reviews, like GameTrailers 8.1 score do not match the lackluster tone of the review.

IGN 6.0, Giant Bomb 6.0, VideoGamer 7.0, GameInformer 7.0, and the lowest are yet to be revealed. The game seems average at best, convoluted and lackluster at worst. I'm glad I canceled my pre-order, $20 credit be damned. I still have my $20 credit from Castlevania.

For me, Black Ops is more of the total package...not to mention you can witness the amount of content and care Treyarch put into their title. With Black Ops right around the corner, I couldn't justify buying MOH, much less for full price, especially due to its apparent shortcomings.

To each their own though...

i cant justify neither of them frankly.

Today's FPS are "casualized" to death.
Call of Duty has not impressed me one bit, except for the story. i loved cod4's story.
Medal of Honor was supposed to had an amazing story as well.
Maybe it does, maybe it doesnt.
Looking at the reviews numbers of MoH, it seems like it did not deliver the goods.

Not completely shocked, just a little bit. i managed to cancel my order and jump out from the ship before it sank with me in it.

I am very anal with FPS's multiplayer.
At a distant, i saw the failure of MW2 when it was about to come out.
So much grenades and other gimmicky features that i am sure as hell I will not enjoy. From what i read, the lock-on pretty much follows the target and all you have to is shoot...

I would assume that BO would be the same. then again, i dont think i will bother with a COD titled game and ,to be fair, i have not followed it. Maybe the single player would be awesome...but multiplayer seals the deal for me.
IW is gone. Activision managed to succesfully corrupt and disband the hard-working devs and they became a joke.
I despise Kotick
fuck it, i am just going to wait for a Respawn [New IW] FPS game and hope for the best.

These recently released FPS are just disappointing....

The only one that have really done it right was Team Fortress 2.
Best. Fps. Ever.
even though i dont play it anymore and i played the vanilla type of game on the 360.

Wouldn't count on it this late in the game. There will supposedly be a deal at KMart, so hopefully you have one local, but this seems like one of those vanishing Amazon deals. (I'm actually surprised they replaced the $30 credit with any deal at all.)

I thought this was a Amazon deal thread but the past couple of pages are full of Call of Duty fanboys hating on MoH and they have not even played it. I like CoD too but MoH is a solid game, and the best part is there isn't any tac knife or javelin b.s. to put up with.

Exactly, whenever a review embargo ends on the games release day its best to stay away. MoH will be in the bargain bins soon.

I don't understand why Vanquish has a 99 cent release day delivery message (free for Prime members), but no option to actually choose release date delivery.

Alright you win, now I'm making worthless posts that are just bumping back useful information. My point was everyone comes to this thread for Amazon credit deals not someones opinion of a game.
Yeah. Black Ops will destroy Medal of Honor. MoH never really interested me from the beginning anyway
What's sad is MOH should stand alone and not try to compete with COD. When the original MOH dropped, there was nothing to compare and it was epic. I gave COD a shot years ago and hated their shooter-on-rails SP campaign and arcade MP. I'll give this MOH the same courtesy tryout, but if all they did was try to be like COD (which it sounds like from reviews) then chalk another franchise dead to me.

Anyone else having trouble with the release date delivery option, doesnt give me the option with fallout new vegas though it says it does on the page

After seeing the reviews for MoH I really regretted buying it. I finally opened it and went straight for the multiplayer. It's awesome!! I'm glad I opened it. The singleplayer ain't too shabby either.

Anyone else notice that Asssassins Creed Brotherhood [standard edition] gives $15 back? I just placed it in my cart to see if my MoH credit is available. Seems like an unusual amount.

This is what it says for me:
Congratulations. Your purchase has qualified you for a $15 Video Games promotional code. The promotion code will be applied directly to your Amazon.com account up to two (2) business days after your product ships.

Looks like some new games are listed for credits:

007: Blood Stone ($10 credit)
Harry Potter & The Deathly Hollows Part I ($10 credit)
Hasbro Family Game Night 3 ($10 credit)
Monopoly Streets ($10 credit)
Sims 3 ($10 credit)

Ah, that's why I didn't notice. Especially since the OP still has $10. Didn't bother to think of scrolling down. Thanks.

hurm debating whether its worth splurging on Fable III's collectors edition.

Its a pity Amazon doesn't get a cool weapon like BB or gamestop :I

but I guess thats the price for the discount :)

hm amazon offering $15 for brotherhood is an interesting move. makes my preorder even better.

i currently have 5 games preordered from amazon, with $85 coming back in game credit. and that will be $95 once i get around to preordering marvel vs capcom 3.

No, look down lower in the Special Offers section. It still says $15. Also when you checkout it still says $15. Screen shot it if you want and make sure you get the $15 if you order it. My order email also shows I qualified for $15, so I guess as long as you have the email you've got proof.

I wonder if those of us who got Hot Pursuit when they were offering SHIFT for free will get the $20 credit as well? I would personally like the $20 credit since I can get SHIFT used for $15 bucks. Here's hoping I get both!!!

You should get both, yes. If you scroll down on the $20 credit offer to the special offers section it states that it applies to all existing pre-orders. May want to take a screen shot of it because there's a decent chance you'll get the Shift promo but not the $20 credit. May have to contact CS when the time comes.

Thanks for the heads up. Taking a screen shot right now. Worth a phone call to get the $20 credit.

*Almost* clicked on order for NFS: Hot Pursuit with the $20 credit. Good thing I found out that it doesn't have split-screen... wth? Total pass for me now. I'll stick to Blur, maybe Split/Second eventually, at least they both have couch play with a friend.

Word. I'll probably end up canceling my order even though I'd get NFS Shift and the $20 credit. How it doesnt have offline multiplayer is beyond me.

So, does anyone kno the best place to buy Call of Duty BLACK OPS from? Amazon is still a sexiii site, with free shipping and no tax...but I'm looking for something sexier. Any help?

I'd rather just buy it at Costco since no where is having a cool promotion on it. Costco usually sells games for $55, and I can pick it up on launch day.
