Here is a list of all the known games on Amazon that come with a gift card or gaming credit. If the Amazon price decreases between your order time and the end of the day of the release date, you'll receive the lowest price. Release date delivery is available on many of these titles, which is free for Amazon Prime members.

The status of these offers fluctuates. Please read the details on the Amazon product page before ordering.

Amazon Credit & GC Deals FAQ by Lucian[hiddenlist]

1. What is Amazon game credit? How is it different than a gift card?
Amazon game credit is a discount off a new order only. This means it cannot be applied to an existing order, unlike a gift card that can be applied at any time. Occasionally, a CAG will report that customer service applied a game credit balance to an existing order, but this is extremely YMMV.

In addition, game credits can only be used on gaming items. This generally includes all games and accessories for consoles, handhelds, and PC shipped and sold by Amazon. Credits usually cannot be used on systems (either console or handheld). As far as digital content is concerned:
- Xbox Live codes sent via email - No
- Xbox Live physical points cards - Yes
- PSN codes sent via email - Yes (confirmed by grantme 7/3/2011)
- PSN physical wallet cards - Yes (someone please confirm via PM)
- PC game downloads - Not sure (someone please advise via PM)

2. What about the expiration date? Does this mean I can't use it on a preorder that releases after the expiration date?
The expiration date is the date by which a qualifying order must be placed. The order does not need to ship by that date; however, if you cancel the order after the the credit expires, it is gone and cannot be recovered.

3. Can I stack game credit?
Yes, you can stack game credit to your heart's content. However, remember that each game credit has an expiration date and must be used prior to the expiration date. Currently, Amazon does not provide information on your credit balance through their website, so either track it yourself or call customer service for assistance.

4. When will I get my game credit or gift card?
The exact timeframe is specified on the product page in the section detailing the game credit, but it is usually 2 business days. The game credit or gift card will be deposited into your account and you should receive an email notification once that occurs. Of course, it is possible for email delivery failure, so you can check your account depending on the type of bonus:
- Gift card - Go to your account and check your gift card balance
- Game credit - See FAQ #9 below 'How can I check my credit balance?'

Please wait the expected time frame before contacting customer service asking for your credit.

5. Can I use game credit and gift cards on the same order?
Yes.

6. I want to order two (2) copies of Newborn Ninja Assassins 2 because of the $15 game credit. Will I get $30 in credit?
No. Game credit offers are limited to 1 per household per title, so you will only receive 1 game credit.

7. What if I order one (1) copy of Newborn Ninja Assassins 2 for PS3 and one (1) copy for Xbox 360? Will I get 2 game game credits now?
No. CAGs have reported only receiving 1 credit per title even though the titles are for different platforms (i.e., have different SKUs).

8. A credit was just added to a game that I already had preordered. Do I need to cancel my order to qualify for the credit?
No. To date, all game credit promotions have had verbiage indicating that This offer will be extended to all existing pre-orders.. To be 'safe', you may want to get a screenshot of the promotion as proof should you need to contact customer service after the game ships.

9. How can I check my credit balance?
Place a preorder for any title to see how much promotional credit is applied. Cancel the order and the promotional credit will be released back to your account as long as it has not yet expired.

Also, Amazon recently added the ability to view your balance on the MP3 download screen. Go to any MP3 download page and look for a blue splat with a $ in it; it's right below the purchase button. Click the link next to the blue splat that says 'Redeem a gift card or promotion code & view balance' and a pop-up will display available credit. Videogame credits will display under the category 'SOFTWARE/VIDEO GAMES', but may contain credit applicable only to software downloads.

Other Amazon-related questions

1. Why does my order say the estimated ship date is a week after release?
Amazon prioritizes shipping for Prime members and those who paid for shipping over those taking advantage of their Free Super Saver Shipping (FSSS) option. Sometimes this means that a preorder will not ship for a few days after release, though I've never had an order take as long as they estimate. I expect their estimates accomplish 2 things:
- It covers their worst case scenario backlog and makes you feel better when it ships earlier than estimated.
- It's a nice marketing ploy to get you to either pay for shipping or sign-up for Amazon Prime.

2. My Amazon Prime or Prime trial is going to expire in a few days. What happens to my existing orders or preorders?
Amazon Prime (whether a full membership or a trial) applies to all orders placed during the Prime membership period. This means that if you preorder an item that ships months after your Prime expires, that order will still be covered under your Prime benefits (i.e., free standard or 2-day shipping and sometimes release-date delivery). If an item becomes eligible for Release Date Delivery (RDD) and you already have it preordered with 2-day shipping, it will automatically be upgraded to RDD even if your Prime has since expired. However, if you need to change the payment method (e.g., if your credit card has expired) on an order after your Prime has expired, your Prime benefits on that order will be lost. In this situation, you can apply a gift card balance without affecting Prime benefits.

It's back now. This happened for me when I bought KZ3 with the release date shipping coming and going every few hours. Doesn't make any sense.

It looks like Dragon Age II will end up with a $10 credit at some point. Walmarts print ad shows that if you buy DA2 online you get a $10 egift card. That isnt the case if you actually go to walmart.com and try to buy it, but I imagine they'll fix that and then Amazon will match.
kmarts the way to go on the dragon age deal.

20 dollar 50 dollar psn card?

+ 10 bucks back??

NO CONTEST.
1. Not everyone has a Kmart near them
2. Most Kmarts don't have the $50 cards or have a few which are hard to find

Not to go off topic but does anyone know how the amazon credit balance works? When I go to view balance it shows I have $20 mp3, $20 video on demand, $20 video games / software. After all the stuff I've bought over the years I've lost track. Does that mean I have $20 for each of those or just $20 total?

20 total.

Uhhhh Cheapy? How bout you get with my damned program of pointing out F.E.A.R. 3 is 56.99 plus a $20 dollar promotional credit? I only pointed it out three or four weeks ago all ready, and the damned thread is like...buried :p

What are the chances of Amazon adding a pre-order credit to the SOCOM Full Deployment edition?

I don't pre-order games much, but everytime I've seen a pre-order deal, it always starts off with a credit promotion... so it kind of worries me that this may not get an offer like that. Still a good deal, but this is CAG. ;)

$20 each.
Amazon added Mortal Kombat $10 and Green Lantern $20 promotional credits
Green Lantern is $56.99 too... so the net is $36.99 not too bad.. No gameplay footage has been released.

I want Green Lantern to actually be a good game so badly - this is the first time that character is getting a solo game right?

Childhood favorite character (and current, with brightest day/darkest night series)

Not noted on the first post as of now is that F.E.A.R. 3 also has the $20 promo on the PC version as well, which is only priced at $46.99 - making the game $26.99 net price. Great deal, I'm considering.

Also, On the front page is the indication that there's a $20 credit on all three console versions of Top Spin 4. That's not right, there is no credit on the Wii version offered.

The Wii doesn't count, for anything.

green lantern game will be trash. its a shovelware quality title.

no screens, no previews

this all screams, "Stealth release."

its "Stealth" release for a reason.
So, do you get amazon preorders the day of or do you have to wait?
You do if you get release day shipping.

The sneak came out over a week ago. What kind of gamer are you?
I don't think it will be a good game either but they have four months to convince me that it will be a mediocre game and I'll bite at $20 credit for one playthrough.

more than likely you have $20 credit that can be used on anything so it's showing for all...

best way to check is to preorder something, then check and cancel item preordered.

Dammit Amazon, when are you gonna add a pre-order credit for Dragon Age II?!

I'm hoping they'll at least price-match KMart's $10 SYWR promo and tack on a $10 promotional credit.

Hmm if they add beta code to GoW3 on GoW3, preorder is a done deal...!
(I'm not interested in Bulletstorm)

If I already have an order for pokemon B/W that I placed when it was a $5 credit do I automatically get a $10 credit now or do I have to cancel an replace my order?

Also how do I view my amazon credit balance?

Thanks

just go into YOUR ACCOUNT, there's a "View Gift Balance" option in the second box down.

Thanks I see a View Gift Card Balance there, I'm assuming that's it? It's currently showing $0, so I guess I haven't gotten the pokemon credit yet which makes sense

You dont get the credit until after your order ships.

Thanks. I also see the following in the fine print for the current $10 credit offer as well:

This offer will be extended to all existing pre-orders.

So it looks like I'll get the $10 even though I ordered when it only had $5 credit offer

Seriously already!
I got my fight night champion but how do you unlock the dlc foreman from it? the only email I got was in regards to the credit
Really? I got an email with the code about 10 minutes after it shipped. I suggest checking again, and if not just contact Amazon I'm sure they'll hook you up.
Anyone think Super Street Fighter IV for the 3DS might get something?
I've been hoping for one for ages! I haven't seen anything on any 3DS launch titles, which is perplexing. Unless they're just assuming everything will sell out regardless. :(

Could be. I don't really understand how that stuff works.

I don't know about SF4... of the launch titles, that and Pilot Wings seem best to me, but then I think SF4 is fugly on current gen consoles, and this is like a weird last gen version of it...

Weird that they don't bring it to PSP and Wii if they're going to do it for 3DS, and I'd still prefer 2D, but hey, I'm sure it's still a fun game (if apparently casual player unfriendly).

:'( i want pre order credit for 3DS games too, lol at top spin getting $20 and dead space 2 got nothing, i still complain about that.

might bite on FEAR 3
Hopefully something will happen for MLB 11 the Show soon.
Only Kmart is even offering anything on this title. Amazon's thing is the 30days of MLB.TV I don't expect to see a credit offer.
quick question, If I order black and white on two separate orders, will I get both of the $10 credits?
Yes, you will.

Hey, didn't Portal 2 have a $5 credit on the preorder? I preordered back when it was on there, but I was just checking my preorders and I noticed they aren't offering that coupon code anymore. Am I still going to get it, or did they just completely take that back?
