Amazon DotD: Untold Legends: The Warriors Code for PSP $12.99

From reviews I remember reading a long while back the game is pretty damn repetitive and nothing really worth noting unless you want a mediocre time.

Hmm, ok, thanks. I saw some screenshots, and the graphics don't do much for me... but now I just read a review where someone mentions it being Diablo-esque.... so I'm conflicted. Perhaps I will sleep on it.

Nice to see another Coloradan here :D There aren't very many of us around.
 
IMHO, one of the biggest flops on the PSP--tons of people were psyched for this game, and all it did was let them down.
 
I really didn't like either of them. They are just your standard dungeon crawlers with a top down view like Diablo or Baulders Gate, but not nearly as fun as Diablo or complex as BG. It actualy looks very similar to that XBLA game Arkadian Warriors (which I haven't played so can't comment on that games fun factor). But I would't recommend this game unless you're really looking for something to play.

I agree! Also, gonna try to get Amazon to match the price since I've ordered this previously.
 
I bit...only because I was waiting for a (remotely) decent filler for Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles PSP ($19.99) for free shipping.

I didn't really find anything in the sub $7 range that was a good filler.

That on (Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom) is on clearance at Circuit City for $16.96 if you can find it...surprisingly, I've still seen it at a couple of the CC's in the PS3 case. Must be either because people are looking for Untold Legends in the title and it's microscopic and the Dark Kingdom part of the title is in huge font, or because it sucks.
 
Not to sway the thread at all..but as far as RPG for the PSP, wouldn't it be sweet if we could get Diablo for PSP or the expansion pack...? Diablo was and always will be one of my favorite games...it would be nice if we could get it on the PSP.

Now back to our regurlarly schedulded thread topic...:)

its better than the PS3 one. Is this game that good? No, sadly the PS3 game is *that bad* :(

such a shame after the stellar Champions return to arms. They made these UL games way too spinny/flippy attacks instead of focussing on what made BG:DA, and Champions so good. Quality level design, weapons, skills, armor and the idea that you were in a classic RPG setting.

The Untold series seems like some odd hybrid of western RPG hack and slash + JPN inspired flashy looking spin/flip attacks w/ little to no substance
 
Ugh. I bought it about a month ago for $20 from Amazon.
As for the game, I kept wanting it to be good, it just never met those expectations. The more I played it, the more its flaws became apparent.
