Amazon: Lightning Deal- NASCAR The Game 2011 PS3/Xbox 360 $29.99

Yeah, I haven't heard that many "Good" things about it but still, at $29.99, I think that's the lowest I've seen it "New". Wanted to share for those interested in NASCAR (Personally, I won't be buying it...)
 
why wouldn't you just buy gran turismo 5? it even has nascar in it. i haven't heard 1 good thing about Nascar 2011 the game.
 
Reason TO buy NASCAR 2011 The Game (from this thread)

1) It's the lowest price I have seen it (2nd closest being $39.99 at most department stores)
2) Well, it's an update from the other NASCAR games in the series that have ALL pretty much sucked
3) If you like NASCAR, then you buy this game. Much like fisherman who buy/bought that Rapala Bass Pro game that's awful. Or people who are into large gaming (not video games) and buy from the Cabela's series. The games aren't very good but it's "their thing".

Jesus, some people DO just "buy" to "buy". This is THE lowest price for those interested in NASCAR (whether or not the game sucks or not). It's INFORMATION. No need to post just to say, "The game sucks" (I think we all know that...).

If I really liked NASCAR, was/were a "gamer" and this series (the EA NASCAR series) was (as it is currently) THE only game on the market (to my knowledge BUT then again, as stated several times, I'm not a NASCAR fan so I really 'don't know' if it's the lone soldier out there with a specific detail to NASCAR), then (on the record), "Yes", I would buy this game despite it sucking or not.

BUT I'm not saying 'you' (VaultDweller) should buy it. No Sir, certainly something will top NASCAR 2011 The Game that's under $30.00 and SOON. What that is, I haven't a clue.

Much like the games in the Battlefield series, I'm a "Fan of Battlefield", and would buy just about anything "Battlefield" related. Much like NCAA-FB by EA. For a long time, this could be said for MLB, then the 2K series popped up (which, in my opinion, SUCKS); therefore, I had/have OPTIONS (eg: MLB - The Show).

I would say, "Hell yes, it's a deal. The lowest price Brand New it's been (or I've seen it) is $39.99, that's $10.00 off with Free Shipping". Common sense.

I think it's a pretty fun game, but I also have a Driving Force GT so I was looking for titles that would support it. An extensive patch is still in the works and coming soon. The PS3 version is about 1 week behind in testing due to the PSN outage. The patch is supposed to fix the online issues (which apparently are extensive) and many, many others.

Also notable is that the season mode and cars are from 2010. A free update is still expected to add 2011 cars and season, though it is not clear if scoring will be updated or not.

I haven't followed the forums as closely the past month or two, but the developer is really forthright with the community. Not sure whether I'd recommend it at $30; just providing a little more info.

its not as in depth and technical as previous nascar games right?

I wish I could answer knowledgeably, but the last one I played previously was 2003 on Gamecube, I think.

I'd recommend checking out the impressions thread at Operation Sports where they discuss more of the technicalities you might be looking for. Me, I'm a NASCAR simpleton. :)
