F.A.Q.S.:

1. Does the game I'm buying from Amazon Activate on Steam/Origin/Uplay? What DRM does the game use?

There are two places to identify DRM on a digital video game detail page:

At the top of the page, below the title:

16hm7a8.png

In the "Product Description" section:

r06ykl.jpg

2. Note on Electronic Arts Games - For the most part, EA games sold on Amazon do not activate on Steam. Most activate on Origin.

3. Note on DRM with limited activations:

Our Policy

4. Sometimes I'll do giveaways.

5. I work with developers and publishers to get fun (or at least what I think is fun) content to share with you all. Here are some examples:

a. Check out the Pax Gameplay videos here: Xcom: Enemy Unknown I played Xcom with Jake, the Creative Director for the game, a few months before the game came out Also, on this page, check out the Q&A, also a community driven event.

b. Check out the interview on this page: Borderlands 2 we did this interview at E3 with Randy Pitchford this year.

c. We've partnered with the ++GoodGames Podcast to feature many of the games we carry. They talk to the developers about the game development process, how the games are conceptualized and managed, all kinds of fun stuff. I'm working on putting together full link list and will update when I have it.

What else do we sell?

Xbox Live Points and Subscriptions:

1600 Microsoft Live Points
4000 Microsoft Live Points
12 Month XBOX Live Subscription
3 Month XBOX Live Subscription]
12 Month + 1 XBOX Live Subscription

PSN+ Subscriptions and PSN Points:

$20 PSN Points
$50 PSN Points
12 Month PSN+ Subscription
3 Month PSN+ Subscription

We also have a Free-2-Play store supported by our GameConnect technology. Gameconnect allows you to link your Amazon.com account with free-2-play and MMO accounts so that you can buy things like in game currency, premium game time/subscriptions, in game items, etc. on Amazon.com using your Amazon.com payment options and have this content delivered directly into your game.
I can tell you how...

You are out of a job : /

I have put more hours into my CE 360 edition than any other RPG except maybe Demon's Souls haha. I really would love to get this at $20 but I told myself any new PC games have to be under $15 to fit my budget. I know it is only $5 but if I budge on this then what else will I do?!

Here is to hoping Steam works some magic on it for the Winter Sale at least!
I was recently laid off from EA, so I'm also unemployed. I purchased both when I was working though, so that might have something to do with it. :p. I had to kind of set the same thing up with the same train of thought.

Hah yeah it is times like these I rely on CAG for great gaming deals more than ever!

I hope you land on your feet! (and not just in Dark Souls so you do not have to see the death screen more than you need : P)

A Dark Souls-loving friend talked me into buying the PC version with him (he also owns it on PS3), so I did. This thing better not be a single dollar cheaper until at least early 2013!

You are setting yourself up for massive disappointment.
You are setting yourself up for massive disappointment.
Anybody who thinks any "lowest price yet!" that is >$5 on a PC game will last more than 1 or 2 months is up for a massive disappointment.

In for Walking Dead, finally! However I've had a $5 Game Credit in my account for the longest, but when ever I purchase a digital game it never shows an option to use the credit...
Are these games even good? Clueless? wat
This bundle was born out of a request for a sale on the Dr. Who games.

I put the rest of the games in there because...why not?

Cheers,
Tony

What else is on sale tomorrow besides Dead Space 1+2?
Dead Space and the other Halloween stuff starts 10/31.

Oh, for some reason I thought Halloween was tomorrow. lol
Hey Tony, I have another question about Hitman Absolution preorders.

I see that on steam, they are offering a preorder bonus of a special level called the "sniper challenge". I was wondering if that bonus is offered on all preorders in all digital stores (including Amazon) or if that is an exclusive preorder bonus for buying from steam? I know that you guys are doing this as a preorder bonus. I was just wondering if you also have the sniper challenge.
Since Tony is around at the moment....BUMP

Though I have learned since originally posting this that Gamestop is also getting the Sniper Challenge. So it's not Steam exclusive. Just need to know if everybody is getting it.

If you have never played Dead Space, in my opinion they are by far the best horror-themed games released during this current generation.

I know it's more cool or trendy to say Amnesia is scarier. But I've played both I found Dead Space to be far scarier, intense, and fun to play. It might be because I'm superficial and like the better graphics and sound. Plus Dead Space is a 3rd person shooter while Amnesia is more a FP puzzle/adventure game - so different people will appreciate different elements.

Between the games I would say they are both good. Dead Space had more of a claustrophobic feel because it takes place in a (still large) ship with the environments usually consisting of confined space. Dead Space 2 takes place on a developed colony - so think catastrophic and a little larger environments with more crazy s*** occurring. Also an interesting difference is that in Dead Space 1 you have the silent protagonist like in GTA III, while Dead Space 2 has your character speaking.

Regardless, I don't think you can go wrong giving these games a spin if you like shooters and are looking for a scare.

EDIT: while Dead Space has better graphics, I probably shouldn't have said better "graphics, sounds, and graphics"
Mean Girls...? Oh gawd, what did you just make me buy?
Yeah, I was wondering why people were so fixated on Murder She Wrote. Mean Girls and Clueless are the real gems here :) Buying this once the price flips.

I haven't played DS series yet to have a strong opinion on it, but one of the "scary" games I really enjoyed back in the day was The Suffering.

Loved that game. Ties That Bind wasn't as good for a sequel, but still enjoyed that series. If anyone has those in the backlog they should give them a go.

Just checked and bought it too! House MD here I come!

I loved the original The Suffering - awesome game.
I have Ties That Binds in my backlog, actually.

I thought both Dead Space 1 and 2 were both awesome.

Did some Google'ing and found this: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?p=33230496

Ronnie 2K: https://twitter.com/Ronnie2K/status/263020953380999168

Should definitely be on Steam.
FYI guys,

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009YKGTIY - will be $5 very soon, like an hour at the longest. Go nuts!

Cheers,
Tony
Thanks Tony, good early present for my sis. She's a huge Doctor Who fan. me, don't really care for it lol. Why only an hour tho?

So Tony,

Any hints on games that will be on the Halloween Sale that is not on sale at Steam now?

Maybe running "The Enlightened Entertainment Package" again? Because Capitalist can be scary. :D

Keep up the great work Man!

I believe he meant the bundle price would go live soon, within an hour at the longest. Not that the sale will last an hour.

Cool, will stay up tonight to buy it. Amazon probably wont activate on Steam right? 2K12 didn't.
I'd love to see 75% off all the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games.
Yeah, me too. If there were a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. bundle for say... $10, I would definitely go for it. Would be able to convince myself that I'm spending $5 each on SoC and CoP, and getting Clear Sky as a bonus. Can't bring myself to buy Clear Sky by itself. Too many bugs (or so I've heard).

We don't overlap a whole lot with their sale. So if you want to pick anything they have up do it.

The only exception is Dead Space and Walking Dead, we've been running Walking Dead and Dead Space isn't Steam ok why did I put ok there? I meant activatable.

Cheers,
Tony

You should check DS series. I'm still playing DS1, and must say is a very intense game. Intense and "tense". You will be scared a lot.

I love horror games, and must say this is one of the best. I put it up there with AITD (1, 2 and 3), The firsts Resident Evil games, Amnesia (this one is the most intense), Dark Seed 1, Undying...

I found Bioshock 1 very obscure too... but not as intense as DS, and I'm not talking about System Shock 2 because I never could get my hands on that game (I'm 35 y/o, but never found that game available to buy). I'm only talking about games I played.

Nice bundle for a really great price. As always thanks a bunch Tony :applause:

Y'all laugh all ya want about Clueless/Mean Girls, but nobody better talk bad about one of Mr. Hughes' greatest flicks :shame:

Hey Tony, @duvalmagic is getting tons of pics of BL costumes/pumpkins/tattoos for Halloween. You should tweet yours!

P.S. Someone post the LI bundle on SD's please!

Tony's confirmed that its Steam activated :applause: got the pre-order for $20 on Amazon from the 25% code.

Another confirmation, maybe something extra? (the ASG add-on possibly?) Would love that.

Hey Tony, that promotional credit for Need for Speed (obtained by buying one of those EA Burnout packs) tripped me up a bit. It showed up on my account as MP3 promotional credit, and got quite a surprise when I purchased an album this morning, haha.

Customer service offered a refund but I decided to keep the album because it was only $5.99 anyway, but has anyone else been confused by this bug?
Woah, ordering from Amazon now.
You gonna to be playin' online? Would be cool to have some people to run MyPlayer Blacktop with.

Dying to get this but can't stay up 'til 3AM today sadly.

The "extra". SMH

Here's another vote for the $10 STALKER collection suggestion. That would be an instant buy. As is the DS bundle coming up in 48 hours....

Man, Amazon is really knocking the cover off the ball with the bundle deals. It's getting hard to justify trawling other sites for bargains.

Speaking from experience, you really have to keep track of how you can use your credit because for some reason Amazon throws it into all of your buckets whether it should be there or not.
