Pre-Order Borderlands 2 from us for 10% off and help me get a tattoo! Yes it activates on Steam!

I am a huge Borderlands 2 fan and I want this to be our best selling pre-order ever. So I've drawn a line in the sand. If, from now until launch, we take 40,000 more preorders than where we were on 7/2/2012 I will get a Borderlands tattoo on my back.
Tony, any chance of matching NewEgg's price on the Skyrim Collectors Edition of 59.99
Submit a Price Match through Amazon.com. Amazon DD does not carry Skyrim and Tony has no control over physical goods.

I already did that, but Tony's passed on info before, let him answer please !!

PC is OOS. Oh you want 360 or PS3 stuff...and come to the PC DD thread to get someone who has nothing to do with physical goods, let alone console stuff to pass it along. I get it.

Sigh, Tony is always helpful. you on the hand not so much!!

Im helping you. Im letting you know this thread is for PC DD, not to ask Tony for things that are unrelated.

We should compile a list of all DD games Amazon carries that activate on Steam. I know many are into Amazon for their DRM-free offerings, but there are a lot of us that are primarily interested in Steam games.

You can also look here and see if Amazon sells it.

If it says (only STEAM version), that means it can't activate.
I can certainly forward the request over, if you submitted a price match though it definitely went into the system and someone saw it. It sounds like we might be OOS on the PC side though, not sure.
There's no reason to be so negative.

So, Tony, what can we plan on seeing on sale this week? I like to budget accordingly. ;)
Next week we'll have Mass Effect & Mass Effect 2 for $5.99 each, Mass Effect Digital Deluxe for $8.99 and Mass Effect 1 + Mass Effect 2 Digital Deluxe for $11.99 :).

Cheers,
Tony

Looks like Steam will have dungeon siege III on sale this weekend. Tony, you had mentioned a future amazon sale on DS 3, any chance you will be adding the original dungeon siege games to DD in a bundle like the steam offering? thanks

Just posted next week's deals above :).

Once you buy it, you'll be directed to your Game Library. There, you should see something about an activation number on the listing of Sonic. That should be it.
Where do you obtain the key to activate for Steam for Sonic Generations?
While logged into your account, go to your "Digital Games and Software Library"

Good question! I'm not sure what the status of those 1st 2 games are, but we won't have anything in place by this weekend though.

Cheers,
Tony
Last question, how does sonic generations run on Steam? I heard mixed reactions about the PC port. TIA
It really depends on your computer specs, if you have a decent enough computer it'll run great (better than the console versions). I think they patched a lot of the issues that it had.
Does the Cerberus code give you access to all the DLC released for ME2 if I get the Digital Deluxe?
no. the cerberus code gives you access to a couple of the DLC packs and a few miscellaneous items (weapons & armor). can't remember exactly which DLC... want to say firewalker and zaeed?

edit: looks like normandy crash site is also included in the cerberus pack.

I've asked around at other DD sellers but no one has been able to carry that Dungeon Siege Complete Bundle outside of Steam. I think there are some complications becuase the first two games were put out by a different publisher (Microsoft). They aren't available on Steam separately and I'm certain they aren't setup to be Steamworks or generate Steam registerable keys like DS3 is.

Pretty sure the only way to get DS 1 and 2 on Steam is to buy the Dungeon Siege Complete bundle on Steam. Even if Amazon wanted to give non Steam versions of DS 1 & 2 those aren't games they are setup to sell as DD.

EDIT: Well I see Tony answered. It would be nice if they could get the first two games so hopefully that happens. I've yet to see any other DD store it besides Steasm though.

Hmmm, well that sucks. I read those aren't the crucial dlcs anyways... how about transfering saves between Xbox and PC? is that possible?
how about transfering saves between Xbox and PC? is that possible?
Perhaps this will do the job.

I'm jumping way ahead, but I look forward to a future sale with the Civ games. I've missed out on the Civ IV and Civ V deals in the past few months mainly because I couldn't decide which one to get. I imagine 2K is planning to discount them soon, or amazon will hold its own sale.

Love this thread!

Of course, Risen 2 activates on Steam - since Risen 2 flat-out REQUIRES Steam.

It runs flawlessly. I also heard the PC version runs at 60FPS instead of the 30FPS like the console version. The console version is still $20-$25. That's crazy. This is my first Steam sale that I took part of, and I'm definitely enjoying it. If only Rayman drops to $10 soon, I'll have to snag it. I have a few games to play now so I'm not in a rush.

Does anyone who purchased Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light from Amazon know if it came with the Things That Go Boom (Challenge Pack 2) DLC? I was going to buy the three Challenge Pack DLCs from Steam but after I activated my Amazon GOL key Steam says I already own #2. I can't for the life of me figure out where it came from as I have slept many many nights since the original purchase and most likely have lost some brain cells as well.
Yes, the Amazon version of LC:GoL comes with one of the DLCs
Yes! I checked and I have one costume DLC and one Challenge DLC. That saves me a couple sweet, sweet dollars.

Thanks! I didn't see it listed in the Amazon description so I wasn't sure.

Also it comes with the bonus Treasure Island DLC. After release you will have to buy it separately, according to Deep Silver.

There is an expansion for Civ 5 due out soon (last I heard "Spring"). I imagine the base game and dlc will go on sale again at that point.

I'm calling it. ME3 all versions boxed and DD Amazon deal of the day Tuesday 3/27 for $39.99. They did a similar deal for Dragon Age 2 around this time last year and Tuesdays seem to be the designated video game deal of the day. Of course this is just my hunch with no inside info whatsoever but we'll see. ;-)
Thanks! I didn't see it listed in the Amazon description so I wasn't sure.

I didn't realize the Amazon version was the only one to come with DLC? I thought they were free to begin with.
Well, if you guys are talking about the Kane & Lynch DLC, I made a point NOT to buy it, however it shows up as purchased in both the Steam client and the in-game menu. I went back and checked my official purchase log on Steam, and I did not buy it. I just bought Guardian of Light, and the 3 challenge DLC's tonight because of the additional discount on top of the Square Weekly Sale. Total for all 4=$6.32, but somehow ended up with the Kane & Lynch one too. I would say from personal experience that the costume dlc DOES come with the Steam version also. But they don't say that on the product page at all. Thoughts?

Does the non-deluxe version of ME2 come with a Cerberus Network code? Buying vanilla ME2 from Steam or Origin itself seems to, but I don't see it listed on Amazon's description, and listing it in "The Digital Deluxe edition includes" section implies that it doesn't come in the non-deluxe. Anyone know?

Hi Tony,
Any chance of matching gamersgate's current daily on Metro 2033? It's $4.99, although I'd much rather give Amazon my business:D

Unfortunate (For us gamers)...
Amazon Download don't normally match INTERNATIONAL digital download sites - i.e. Gamersgate (Sweden), GetGamesGo (Eurogamer-owned), and GreenManGaming (UK).

Hey guys,

Sorry for the miss on Tomb Raider yesterday! I got sucked into a bunch of meetings and then spent my evening hanging out with the GF (last day of break for her). I've got the price match on Deus Ex churning right now.

Cheers,
Tony
