Pre-Order Borderlands 2 from us for 10% off and help me get a tattoo! Yes it activates on Steam!

I am a huge Borderlands 2 fan and I want this to be our best selling pre-order ever. So I've drawn a line in the sand. If, from now until launch, we take 40,000 more preorders than where we were on 7/2/2012 I will get a Borderlands tattoo on my back.
Ahhh did you miss it during the amazon holiday sale? I think it was like 2.50.
Wow, apparently I did. Two fiddy is what I stole from the Loch Ness Monster the other day.

But I was thinking about getting from Gamersgate for 3.74 this week, but if amazon had it cheaper I shall wait to see if it ever hits that price again. Thanks.

It was 2.99 I had to double check. I'd probably buy it from gamersgate unless tony has a trick up his sleeve Do you have the 15% off from IGN at gamersgate? Brings it to like 3.25.

Yeah, I got the discount now so I might bit then. Do you know if the online community is alive?

That I don't know, I don't think I did anything with it other than activate it in steam.
Tony, again, with the Serious Sam four pack will gifting be enabled?
BAH! I knew I missed this question, sorry man :(.

To answer, no, gifting won't be enabled, we'll give 4-pack purchasers 4 Steam keys, which they can dole out as they like. Gifting is still in development :(.

Cheers,
Tony

Thanks for the response. It wasn't high pressure since the sale is still coming.
I look forward to that feature!
There's a demo to try for both technical and gameplay evaluation. It should answer all your questions hopefully.

Edit: I have a question. Does Dungeon Siege 3 come with the DLC included or will I have to pay more than $5 to get all the content? Thanks.
So you know, DS3: Treasures of the Sun DLC has been on sale on Steam before for $2.50.
So, keep your eyes peeled for another sale...

I had to actually buy that from Steam b/c last time, Amazon DVG didn't even have that DLC.
Otherwise, I would've asked Tony to PM it for me.

I can definitely recommend Dungeon Siege 3 at this price, it's fun, but keep in mind it's more a Baldurs Gate : Dark Alliance/Marvel Ultimate Alliance type ARPG than say Dungeon Siege 1/2, Diablo, etc. Great music too. Roll dodge, roll dodge, roll dodge, loot - repeat.

Oh, and (god knows this backfired last time), anyone hurting for the Deus Ex DLC can grab it off Getgamesgo.com for $3.74

Thanks for the heads up. I'm gonna try the demo again and see if it's worth my time. I played like a year ago with the M+KB and didn't like it, but people are suggesting the controller so I'll try that instead.

I wonder if the May sale will overlap this one. If nothing in May interest me then I'll be more inclined to spend time with DS3.
Hi Tony,

Any plans to have "Sins of a Solar Empire: Trinity" from Stardock? It's on Steam, but no digital version is available on Amazon yet.
I 2nd this, always wanted to try that game out given it's praise.
I'm glad May begins tomorrow. Will this be a month-long sale or just "sometime in May"?

You've definitely teased some good stuff. :)

I hope you can get Sonic Adventure DX in there this time. You weren't able to during the Sega sale.

Out of curiosity will Aliens v. Predators be on sale for cheaper than 75% off?
It won't be a month long sale, but the back half of the month. I have a call with Sega on Friday so I will ask about AVP and Sonic Adventure DX but they aren't currently in the sale. I know alot of you are looking at the GG sale, I can tell you that our Sonic Gen and Shogun 2 (game not dlc) prices will be better than what i'm seeing announced right now over there.

Oh and our Football Manager 2012 as well.
@TONY

Driver: San Francisco [Regular Edition] = $10.19 for download on GameStop PC App.

Price-match...?
Or do you have any idea if you gonna have a deal on Driver: SF in May that gonna top this one?
There won't be any Ubisoft titles featured in the May promotion, I need to check internally but I don't believe we're PMing the Driver SF deal either.

I am not 100% sure where the conversation is with distributing SD's content, I'll ping the content team and ask now.

Cheers,

P.S. Fans of Double Fine should be VERY excited for Sunday...

NICE @ Sonic Gen deal will beat GG!

What about a Driver: SF deal in June? :p
Okay, don't answer that rhetorical question...I'm trying to being funny here.

Any idea if you will know by tonight if you'll match Driver SF deal GameStop PC App got going or NOT?

I haven't asked about the Sonic Gen DLC yet, but will bring that up as well.

As for Driver, confirmed we won't be matching that (continued testing around PMing on titles that fit specific profiles).

Good questions though, thanks for asking!
Whats the DRM on the Doublefine Games? They just say online game key, are they Steam keys? Also...Alan Wake make it into the may sale?
While online game code doesn't always indicate a Steam key, in this case it does. All of our Double Fine games are Steam versions, but we aren't actually distributing the builds just a key that you can then plug into Steam. If you "download" the product you'll just get a small HTML file that opens a webpage with instructions for how to download.

The deals are killer btw, and one of them is Sunday only, more info on this later in the week.

As for Alan Wake, it did make it into the May event :) and for greater than any discount I've seen in the market yet.

More info on this later in the week as well.
Hey Tony,

Thanks.
For craps and giggles, GG has that for Sonic Gen: Casino Nights DLC for 80 cents!
How the hell do they make a profit on that? :whistle2:X

Am I being TOO nosy when asking what games will fit the likelihood that you'd actually go ahead and PM it?

I know, I ask a lot of questions and it might be too early for you to reveal...

What of Alan Wake will be on sale?
Regular Edition [base game]?
Collector's Edition [base game + Extras]?
Extras DLC?
All of it?

Im betting the whole thing. I'll be grabbing the collectors edtion...if the price is right. I was soo close to biting at 33%....at 50% or more I think I'll bite the bullet and blow some of this credit I've built up.

I do have an interest in the Alan Wake CE - I'm a sucker for soundtracks.
I'm curious about the commentary is, as well.

I really like that you can buy say Standard Edition...
...And later you could just buy the Extras DLC [when that gets on sale] to turn your Standard Edition into the CE.

I wish more companies would do that...

Double Fine, eh? I predict Stacking at $4.99! Also excited for Alan Wake later in May.

I feel like we're going to need a few extra hamsters.

Since we're talking about the Double Fine sale, maybe you guys should correct the Stacking description on the site lol. Right now it shows the description for Costume Quest instead..

Sure thing, while I can't get into the specific details as many of them tie to specific data that I can't share, basically we are continuing to look at what happens to sales velocity when we PM and what the customers who purchase do after buying a PMed game.

As you saw over the past few days with Dead Space, Dead Space 2, Serious Sam 3, etc. We're still PMing, we're just trying to learn more about how to do it more intelligently.

I thought you were trying to run the bits down, as in find the publisher for first game so you can get the data!

It's always weird, when you have one game in a franchise w/ one publisher, and others w/ someone else!

It's also annoying!

SIDE RANT:
I wish somehow Deep Silver would buy CDV's rights for the NA distribution rights for Sacred 2 products, so we could get Sacred 2: Ice and Blood [expansion] here.
You guys have a deal w/ Deep Silver - please convince them! :p

My first post after luring in the shadows of this thread for about two months (just started using Amazon DVG after coming to the US recently for this year) and spreading the word for some of the insane deals in another forum I'm using. That's brilliant news on next weeks sale and after missing the last steam sale on Psychonauts I will instantly buy it on Sunday or even the whole bundle depending on the prize!
Btw fantastic job you're doing! :applause: Hope the recently started Amazon.de DVG store has someone as ambitious and community-involved as you are! :)

Once again, it's awesome to get a direct reply from the source themselves. Thanks. Also, I had the thought that I spend a lot more money by constantly being aware of all the sales week-to-week and even daily (such as the Psychonauts sale, been waiting for a sale on it,as I already own the console version). Thanks Tony. You have become someone I spend money on every week, like a girlfriend, but instead, I get to keep all the goodies!

Ummm, that sounded better in my head... #-o

Hey Tony, I bit on the 2 1C games for $5 last week and bought King's Bounty, today I went back to try and get the 2nd game for free and the list is not there anymore. The link the email from Amazon provides goes to this week's deal (Deux and Dungeon siege 3) and when I looked up the 1C games they are back to regular price.
The offer is good till May 21st, do you think you could provide me with the correct link or the list of games I can choose from?
Thanks

Hey there,

This was a typo in the email for the promo, 5/21 is the date you have to use the code (our system makes us give 30 days for all code redemption). The $5 price point on 1C games was only good for the duration of deal of the week.

Here's a list of the 1C games we have on the site:

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_n...9455011&ie=UTF8&qid=1335847844&rnid=345753011

The promo code will apply to most of those (there were a couple exceptions in the sale).

Once you identify the game you want for free I'd recommend reaching out via Email or chat to our CS and letting them know about the confusion, they can check your account and credit you the difference between the balance of your remaining BOGO credit and the cost of the game.

Sorry about that, not sure why you got that date in your email.

Alternatively, you can reach out to me via PM with the game you'd like as your BOGO and I can run it down on my end tomorrow. I recommend CS because you'll likely get swifter resolution because they have all the tools in place to check accounts, etc whereas I'll have to reach out to them to figure out where to go to check everything.

Either way we'll get you sorted.

Cheers,
Tony
