Pre-Order Borderlands 2 from us for 10% off and help me get a tattoo! Yes it activates on Steam!

I am a huge Borderlands 2 fan and I want this to be our best selling pre-order ever. So I've drawn a line in the sand. If, from now until launch, we take 40,000 more preorders than where we were on 7/2/2012 I will get a Borderlands tattoo on my back.

Probably late to the party, but in the Rockstar pack, that should be "Vice City" and not "Vice City Stories," correct? Stories was, AFAIK, a PSP/PS2 game and never had a PC release. The box art shows off normal Vice City as well.

Some amazing deals there, though not too many for me. Will definitely grab Binary Domain, but not sure on Syndicate or Spec Ops.

Me and Tony already went through this...

Yes, it's Vice City original in the pack, not VC Stories [PSP/PS2 Exclusive].

It'd be interesting if he could convince Rockstar to port Vice City Stories to the PC.
I still would love to see Rockstar develop a true-blue GTA: Vice City 2.

So far, GTA4: Ballad of Gay Tony (DLC #2) is as close as we've gotten to a true-blue Vice City 2.

LOL I don't think Tony has that much influence but if it turns out he does and then have them port Red Dead Redemption to the PC while they are at it. ;)

Would love to see that convo:

Tony: I have a customer who really wants to see Vice City Stories ported to PC
RSG: Great, how much do you think he'd be willing to pay?
Tony: Knowing MysterD, maybe 1.99.
RSG: No more deals for you.

Hmmm...maybe $5 for GTA Vice City Stories PC port...? ;)

EDIT:
Better idea!
GTA Vice City Stories PC port could be bundled w/ GTA5 PC! ;)

So looking at the Paradox packs, I would save one cent and get both Sword of the Stars games if I buy the Plentiful and Pint-sized packs, but I would miss out of the Sword of the Stars games and get nothing extra from the Plethora, right?
I've been meaning to touch on this. I think there are some of us who are willing to do pre-orders sometimes on a game we really want and are pretty sure about. It's just that the bulk of the games most of us buy are the ones that maybe we want but aren't absolutely dying for or maybe aren't sure enough about to pay full price etc.

If I pre-order something it's got to be something I know will get bumped to the top of my list and played immediately, which is rare but does happen. On the other hand if I get a game 75% off or part of some crazy bundle package deal then I don't feel so bad if it gets added to the ever growing backlog.

That said, if I do pre-order vs buying on release then I want something for that. A small discount or pre-order bonus etc. Otherwise there is not much point to pre-ordering vs buying on release.

I also buy collector's editions sometimes and I kind of wish there was a way to get the game in digital format immediately on release and then have the physical goodies shipped to me. I don't know how doable something like that would be, but if it ever were to happen on a game I'm really interested in I would definitely prefer that route. It's annoying to sit around read about everyone else enjoying this game that you are really anticipating but can't play yet because you're waiting for the delivery guy to bring your collector's edition box.

I know, first world problems. :p

Sorry. :whistle2:#
Lol :) yeah I hear you. For most, if not all of our pre-orders we have some sort of pre-order incentive, usually both in game and a 10% discount. Going back to my point that this isn't the perfect forum to talk about pre-orders and new releases. We know there is a market there for full price pre orders/new releases, because they are often #1 on Steam for the day before and day of launch, with no discount.

I just want those people, who are buying full price anyway, to come buy from us and save 10% lol.

Cheers,
Tony

We know Tony posts on NeoGaf, but he should share news like THAT [Binary Domain to be $10 in July sometime] on both sites (NeoGaf and CAG)! :D

Tony, you reading that, bro? ;)
Hey tony, at what time will the sale start?
Their sales generally start midnight PST give or take an hour. I kind of think Valve's 10AM time makes more sense from the standpoint of not having to scramble around and do late night calls in case everything blows up, but Amazon seems to always roll everything over on midnight. The daily deals flip at midnight, free Android game of the day etc.

An advantage of the late night sales is that the spike in users will be smaller than noonish for Steam. How many times has Steam been unavailable for a half hour or longer during sales when they flip? I don't think I've ever seen Amazon have that problem.

The only thing I'm unsure about getting is Majesty 2. I liked Majesty 1 better, and when I played the Majesty 2 demo it didn't feel the same.

Does anyone who was a fan of the first Majesty know if Majesty 2 gets better beyond the demo?

I played them both and I have to say I enjoyed Majesty 2 more. Granted there are still some bugs and I can see where die hard fans of the first have problems with some of the fundamental game design decisions but... I dunno... I still prefer the second as you have a bit more control over units and the missions, in general, seem less chaotic. It definitely leans more towards the RTS genre (despite the fact you can't control units) than the predecessor which is a pure fantasy sim where you sit and watch most of the time.

It doesn't have a 'free play' mode but: 1) I always found that boring/pointless in Majesty 1; and 2) With all of the expansions there's around 80-100 hours of content in the campaigns and additional 'one-of' scenarios.

I'm in for Borderlands and the Bioshock pack. I've played both on 360 but they are some of my favorite games and I have a new PC to use. I'm going to enjoy playing these again. Thanks Tony.

Lol I really thought I posted that over here too. Yep, we'll be doing that in early July, I'll hopefully have a solid date locked down on Monday and can share specific details then.

My bad, I really thought I'd mentioned that over here.

This is an Amazon system thing, we've talked about it a bunch but there is not an easy way for us to make large scale changes off schedule with everyone else..so midnight it is.

That's why I'm usually on from 12:00AM - 2:00AM during large sales, making things work right.
have a sale on BF3 premium :D
We will.

It's okay, Big T.
Our eyes remain peeled and wide-open for the news...

I really want Midnight Club 2, but nothing else out of the Rockstar pack. >.<

Would anyone be willing to sell it for $3 out of the pack? Or could you possibly swing a $2.99 price on it alone Tony? It's one of the older cheaper games in the bundle so...

Im surprised you didnt hear about that going free some time ago

man, i don't even think i've seen it at $15 or even *$20* yet. that is one hell of a sale and drop to a game that just came out a few months ago. hell, bit over 1 month for PC.

Can someone buy multiple copies of a Steam DRM digital download game on Amazon.com? I'm getting my friend to buy me Max Payne and he was just wondering what if he ends up wanting one for himself.

Yes. He'll have 2 keys in his Digital Software account if he winds up buying a copy for himself.

I haven't paid attention to digital downloads just until the last couple months. My laptop is pretty terrible for running games, but it can still play some great older titles (Vampire the Masquerade, Penumbra, etc). I'm looking to get a high end gaming laptop soon so I can basically convert from the Xbox 360 to the PC seeing as how much cheaper everything ends up being in the long run.

Who was offering it for free though?

Rockstar was giving it away if you signed up to their Steam community group before a certain date, I think it was in mid-May.

is BF3 premium going to be on sale this July or later, I wasn't planning on buying it but if its on sale I will probably get it depending on how much its discounted

Hi Tony, just to check - would the Binary Domain deal include the DLC (Dan Marshall + Multiplayer) or just the base game? Is it Steam activable too?
started around 10 may. Had to join rockstar steam group, you got the game around 15 may when it ended.

$10 Binary Domain? Fairly sure that game's Steamworks, I'll probably snag that when it shows up.

Your work on these deals and offering more Steam keys for non-Steamworks games has really increased my game purchasing from Amazon. In fact, I went back and looked through my order history on Amazon. Didn't order any games in 2010, and in 2011 the only game I bought was Dungeon Siege 3 during December, and in 2012 I've made 5 orders so far, and am planning on picking up Max Payne, the small Paradox pack, and Binary Domain out of announced upcoming deals.
You've got my seal of approval!

Yup, wasn't around then. Oh well, someone wanted the pack minus MC2, so I'm grabbing it from him for $3. Can't complain at that price (played the hell out of the game when I was a kid).

yes yes yes Binary Domain $10! Loved the game on PS3 want to play it again on pc!

Yeah, i can't believe that game has dropped so quickly. I thought that it was doing pretty well too (not that I'm complaining)

I was entirely on the fence about picking it up, but now it seems like thats too good to pass up... Now I just need to find the time to play all of these games.

@Tony

I thought the reason we all got promo credits toward Europa Universalis III and Hearts of Iron III was that they were going to be part of the next Paradox bundle (these July 1rst bundles) and the promo credits were to make up the price difference as well as compensate original purchasers of the original bundle so as not to feel penalized for being an early adopter? What did I miss?

Aww man hurry up 12pm I want to try Max Payne 3 on my brand new gaming rig. I played it through on the ps3 but I can't wait to give it a shot with Direct x11 and everything maxed out and tessellation enabled. :bouncy:

No idea where you got that from. The Pint size bundle is what people who bought the original bundle should be getting to bridge the gap. There's been no mention of bundling either of those games.
