F.A.Q's

What is Amazon Warehouse Deals?
Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, generally like new items.

Is the Amazon Warehouse Deals return policy the same as Amazon's return policy?
Yes, All purchases are eligible for Amazon customer service and 30 day return policy.

What condition are products from Warehouse Deals generally in?
Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and almost in perfect condition. Any game i have personally ever bought has in like new condition. However, some people have reported that games were scratched with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage. Rarely, a console may be missing a key component such as a power brick.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?
You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken

I'm waiting for the 360 slim, or ps3 to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?
They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?
Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

I have a gaming credit and/or an Amazon gift card. Can both of these be applied to Warehouse Deals orders?
Gift cards can be applied to orders made on warehouse deals, however video game credit is only good for items shipped and sold by "amazon.com", warehouse deals does not count as this.

Just got Kirby & The Amazing Mirror for GBA in the mail from AWD. It looks factory sealed!?! BUT THEY PUT IT IN A SUPER FLIMSY BOX!????????????????????!!?!?

Seriously....................!!?!?!!?!?!?

Game was in one of their large fold over boxes but the thing felt flimsier than a bubble mailer. And this game was packed in with a couple heavier games so of course it is crushed. Sigh..to keep or to return....

Yeah that's why i pass on most gba, ps1, dreamcast etc cos the cases/boxes always get broken or crushed.
i know the backdoor of how to get this deal. ;)
I didn't get a shot but what is this that you speak of?

It's nothing fancy. He just convinces amazon customer service to give him a brand new one for the cancelled item's price.

I've come to expect jewel cases from AWD to come in crappy condition most of the time and I just buy knowing I'm going to replace the case.

I buy GB, GBA, SNES, etc off AWD if I see a game I'm interested in since I'd love to have complete copies of them. So far I've gotten like 4-5 in good shape and 1 crushed. This is now the second that is crushed.

It is just so frustrating in this case because it looks factory sealed and this game is very rare to find factory sealed. I've never known AWD to seal anything like this and I'm no expert on figuring out if it is factory sealed, but it definitely looks like it to me.

Oh wow, i see that a sealed one goes for $169.00. I guess I'll be buying some gba games if they come sealed often!

They don't usually come sealed at all and they are usually crushed because of amazon's packing monkeys.

Even if I only get one sealed uncrushed one that is worth $200 I'll be happy to order all of them :)
I can just send the bad ones back!

Looks a bit worse than it appears in the photos. Probably should have taken the first pic at a different angle, but oh well.
Wow you should be celebrating! It looks great!
Are you being serious? Again I don't think I got a photo of the best angle to show the damage. But one corner is crushed really bad and 3 of the sides have major creases in them. The top of the box just has a small crease.

I would probably sell this if I knew for sure it was factory sealed. But I may not even be able to get the AWD sticker off without ripping the plastic or at least really stretching it out. The plastic doesn't feel strong enough to take the sticker off it easily. I'd rather have a near mint complete copy than a crushed sealed copy.

edit: looks like I can probably get the sticker off OK. Pulled it back a little bit.

Absolutely! A game like that probably cost about $26 on the warehouse. Even in it's current condition it's worth a lot more than that! Cheer up Mr. Gloomy!

Well the big question for me is that I just don't know for sure that it is factory sealed. Maybe someone actually resealed it? I paid $22.99

The seal looks legit to me. The key being the cross-seal on the back side, which is accurate for Nintendo games from that era (GB, GBA, VB, SNES, etc.). Typically when places reseal something they use a standard shrink-wrapper, which doesn't give that cross seal on the back.
Why do people post random amazon deals and other 3rd party deals in here?

lol
I personally think this is a fine place to post if you see a good marketplace deal, etc. But what I don't like is when there is an obvious price mistake and we get pages and pages of talk about ordering and cancellations for that item.

It's a bit of a Catch-22. Someone brought up the idea of consolidating price-mistakes in its own thread. In my opinion, it would be a bit counter-intuitive because you'd have a thread about deals that in all likelihood will not be fulfilled.

The reason they're posted here in the first place is because they're found via people searching and comparing prices in passing. I agree that having pages of people positing and speculating on price-errors should be kept at a minimum.

Time to toss the proverbial one-serving ensalada.

Alright, I'm confused as hell about how to use my $10 software/video game download credit. Amazon's customer service rep told me "your credit is not applicable on digital downloads," and suggested I use it on a normal order... except it doesn't show up on a normal order, because it's not a credit for that.

It's confusing because I want to buy Amnesia: Dark Descent as a digital download (it's on sale for $9.99), but when I go to buy it, the summary page doesn't reflect any credit being applied. Any idea why?

Promotional credits are not valid on amazon warehouse deals, or any "3rd party".. Only on items shipped and SOLD by Amazon.com
Is that the credit towards xbox live subscription card?
Yep, I believe it was, and IIRC, it got "converted" into another credit of some kind.

I know. I'm only asking it here because I figured thread frequenters here would know Amazon better than anyone else. And I didn't know where else to ask. I apologize if it's misplaced.

It may be no help to you, but it's worth mentioning that Steam has dropped the price of Amnesia in the $5 range on more than one occasion. You may not use Steam, or be willing to wait for another sale. But there's that for what it's worth.

ps. Amnesia is fantastic! :D

Are you positive that the credit isn't from the $10 off XBL subscription deal? My credit from that deal showed up as "software/video game download" credit in my account but it didn't actually apply to anything but an XBL subscription.

Still a few of those Move Navigation Controllers available.

I'm tempted but I want to sell my Move bundle. Depends if I get Tiger Woods 2012 and MLB 11 The Show ...
is the move bundle worth 70 bucks?
I picked one up in Dec off AWD, played with it and Sports Champions for about 90 minutes or so and packed it all up again and shoved it in my cabinet. For now there is no killer app for it (although some say it's good for KZ3) so you might want to hold off on it until something better comes along.
