F.A.Q's

What is Amazon Warehouse Deals?
Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, generally like new items.

Is the Amazon Warehouse Deals return policy the same as Amazon's return policy?
Yes, All purchases are eligible for Amazon customer service and 30 day return policy.

What condition are products from Warehouse Deals generally in?
Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and almost in perfect condition. Any game i have personally ever bought has in like new condition. However, some people have reported that games were scratched with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage. Rarely, a console may be missing a key component such as a power brick.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?
You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken

I'm waiting for the 360 slim, or ps3 to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?
They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?
Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

I have a gaming credit and/or an Amazon gift card. Can both of these be applied to Warehouse Deals orders?
Gift cards can be applied to orders made on warehouse deals, however video game credit is only good for items shipped and sold by "amazon.com", warehouse deals does not count as this.

I'm not sure if anyone here was able to get any older cartridge games from them during that time, but maybe someone did and will be able to comment.
textbooksrus decides randomly on the condition for older games. I had "like new" games arrive cartridge only with water damage and I also had "acceptable" games arrive complete. There was no pattern as far as I could tell.

I have gotten pretty bad stuff from AWD lately. Today I got Silent Scope 3 for PS2 and it has a Gran Turismo 2 (PS1) disc inside. I got a like new Dragon Seeds for PS1 and it is a previous rental with an ugly silver label on the disc. The manual was somewhat destroyed. It happens to be the same rental company "GAMEGIRLS" in Anchorage, AK as the Phantasy Star IV Sega Genesis game I got a week ago from POM Media and returned. This is the second Dragon Seeds I need to return from AWD..

I got 3 Like New N64 games and one Like New SNES game. The SNES game and one of the N64 games are missing the cartridge holder. This typically means the box gets a bit damaged because it is mostly hollow and there is nothing supporting it. I don't see how I get so many games missing the cartridge holder...so annoying. I also ordered my first complete (Like New) NES game, Super Mario Bros 2. It came with no manual.

I guess this one is on me but somehow I must have ordered an Xbox 360 copy of one game when I wanted PS3.

Last week I got a few Like New PS1 games and almost all of them had manuals in terrible condition. One of them was even completely missing the cover and it was just the inside pages.

Upon further inspection of the Xenogears case that I received, I noticed that there was a crack underneath the used sticker on the back. Looked kind of like something pressed hard against it at one small point. Luckily the CD in-lays weren't torn. I figured it was damaged in shipping (thin bubble mailer) so I emailed just to see if they could send me a replacement since they seem to have had stock in lately. The rep offered me a refund of $12 as an alternative to dealing with an exchange. So I guess I'll just get the replacement jewel cases from K-Mart. I love Amazon. :)

That must be the first PS1 game you've ordered from AWD. Most PS1 cases have multiple cracks in them. Some cases even have pieces that have broken off of them. Most of the time it is clear the damage was there before they shipped it so they don't seem to care. They must treat them poorly when they are processing trade ins or in the warehouse since so many of them are damaged.

I received godfather 2 for the xbox 360 on a box with no art and the manual wasn't included. Thank god the disc was brand new with no scratches. I also received Star Ocean First Departure and it came basically new, just without the shrink wrap. Its win or lose on AWD.

I grew up in ak and have never heard of that place. They must have been a huge hit if their stuff is still floating around bouncing hands lol...

Not to be a killjoy, but the Ogre Battle I got that was listed as "Like New" was in horrid condition. I sent in a return request 2 minutes after opening the envelope. Hope you have better luck.

Define horrid?
I am concidering buying a Wii game from warehouse. How likely is it to be "like new. comlete" as it says?
I ordered a couple of Wii games a while back and they were mint and shrink wrapped. These were regular games, not any type of bundle or anything.

Yea I got some Kirbys and two came with the registration card and only one was used. They are as described, like new. Pretty happy with all my purchases quality wise from AWD.

Most "Like-New" games from the current gen consoles tend to be the most complete due to their age.
Just also picked up SOCOM 4 Full deployment edition for 133.99
heh, you're welcome. I had that in my cart and didn't pull the trigger. Looking at reviews of the game itself I think I'd hate it.

Decided to wait as well. Hopefully it will drop some more since I could probably get a move bundle for cheap via AWHD and socom 4 will be cheap as well.

I also just had second thoughts about dropping all that money on something I'd maybe use for 1 game (killzone 3)...and move in general I just won't use. I already have Wii and Kinect, I don't need another motion set.

That was my opinion about it. I just couldn't find many games that I would use it for. I'm surprised that was almost lasted the whole day.

I used to own Valkyrie Profile on PS1, but sold it a few years ago for just under $100 ($98). Don't really regret it. I bought it again on the PSP and like that version better. Widescreen, updated cinematics, portable. Who wouldn't? :p

Just got my "Like New" Tales of Destiny II in the mail today and it looks like it's in pristine condition. Just some dust on the discs, doesn't even look like they had to resurface it. However it looks like the Jewel Case was replaced which I'm fine with. Needless to say I'm satisfied.
