F.A.Q's

What is Amazon Warehouse Deals?
Warehouse Deals is part of amazon that has open box, generally like new items.

Is the Amazon Warehouse Deals return policy the same as Amazon's return policy?
Yes, All purchases are eligible for Amazon customer service and 30 day return policy.

What condition are products from Warehouse Deals generally in?
Usually, games are re-shrinked wrap and almost in perfect condition. Any game i have personally ever bought has in like new condition. However, some people have reported that games were scratched with stickers on the insert. Consoles are also usually reported in like new or new condition with box damage. Rarely, a console may be missing a key component such as a power brick.

I'm using the games sort by console link, and the games will not sort by price properly. What is wrong?
You aren't doing anything wrong, the sort by price feature on Amazon is broken

I'm waiting for the 360 slim, or ps3 to pop up.. What time do they usually appear?
They can show up any time, the best way to find it is have the item tabbed on your browser, and download an auto refresh app and frequently check it... Sometimes they will not pop up on amazon warehouse deals storefront, you will need to check the "used" section of the item

Why did all the prices of games randomly jump up?
Games on warehouse deals generally go on a cycle. They will get extremely low, great deals.. Then they will jump back up and restart the cycle of falling in price again.

I have a gaming credit and/or an Amazon gift card. Can both of these be applied to Warehouse Deals orders?
Gift cards can be applied to orders made on warehouse deals, however video game credit is only good for items shipped and sold by "amazon.com", warehouse deals does not count as this.

there are quite a bit of people who still play it :) I usually play a few hours on a weekly basis online.

Ordered the blue 3ds in like new condition for 196.99. Was going to order the black until I read the description. Item may come repackaged. Medium mark on item case. Medium cut / scratch on item case. Medium wrinkle / bend on item case. Medium crack on item case

Just bought a Cosmo Black 3DS in "like new" condition for $211.99 plus a copy of Zelda. Been trying to holdout for a 3DS "for old people" since the DSi XL spoiled me but after I knew the games I wanted were finally coming I just had to crack. Here's how I justified it to myself:

1. "Box damaged" 3DS for $212. C'mon now, that's only a $12 premium over what the original launch price should have been in my mind.

2. Added Zelda to the order for the same price as a "new" 3DS without the game. Basically I just got Zelda for free.

3. Nintendo ain't redesigning the system until well after Luigi's Mansion 2, Super Mario and others revealed at e3 are long out.

4. I'm hardcore

5. I'll simply give it to my daughter when the 3DSi XL comes out.

I don't know how those $184 ones have lasted all night. Seems like a pretty good deal for it. I would've jumped on it if I hadn't just bought one with the $25 credit bonus (which I used towards the Vita :))

The release date of the Vita is kinda sketchy. Are they trying to boost first quarter sales based off the Vita alone. It would be more wise to finish strong in the last quarter and lock in those holiday sales.

i think the release date is just a placeholder. also I am pretty sure that sony's fiscal year ends in march, which is why we usually see some big releases from them around that time (GoW, original PSP etc.)

Received my "Good" condition 3DS.

It's absolutely perfect... all wrapped up nice. Included everything but the AR Cards! Drat! Just printed those out. Not a scratch on the thing though, doesn't even look like it has been used.

$84 Kinect w/ kinect adventures - Good
Ive seen it as low as $83 for like new (How i got mine)
Just received my $84 Like New Kinect today.

It wasn't a brand new unit as the tape has obviously been peeled, so I doubt anyone would peel the sticker off of a box and not use the content inside...

HOWEVER, I honestly could not detect any evidence of usage... everything were in wrappers, unopened, besides the Kinect unit itself... but IDK if the new ones have wrappers over the Kinect??

Either way, I am pleased with the purchase. :applause:
Only my 2nd gadget from Amazon Warehouse.
My "used" Kindle 2 was a brand new one from AW.

No, they don't. The Kinect just sits there all pretty in that Foam, with bags around the cabling.

Last week, I ordered an Xbox 4GB w/ Kinect bundle for $259.99 from Warehouse Deals. Everything was still packaged like new except the headset was missing and - oh yeah! - the power supply was completely dead.

I returned it and went to Target on Sunday to pick up a bundle and get the $50 gift card that was supposedly in the circular. Turns out they dumped that deal in favor of a free copy of Kinect Sports. Bought it anyway, figuring I could flip the two games it came with and come out in roughly the same place.

A few days later, Amazon is giving out $100 gift cards with a purchase of the same bundle.

fuck

Do people buy a console, take/swap the pieces that they need, and then just return it? I don't see how else my situation can happen.

Hmmmm.... these $210 3DS's are staring at me... I just traded in a bunch of crap and got $350 in credit. What Im concerned about is buying a 3ds and Zelda now only to have a price drop/ new version in another 8 months to a year or a sick-ass Zelda bundle down the line. What to do? I love Ocarina, but I have heard such conflicting things regarding the 3ds. Is it really worth it? For 250 I could get the 3ds and Zelda and still have enough to throw down on some pre-order games. Or, with the way things are dropping in price now, I could wait and snag all these games that I want when they drop within the $20-$30range. Ive had my eyes on the likes of Dead Space 2, Alice, Red Faction etc. Hmmmm...

For what it's worth, 3DS games are selling for ~$20 new on eBay so you could build yourself a decent collection if you go that route.

Although, Ocarina is the only thing right now that justifies having a 3DS. And IMO it's enough justification by itself (if you like Zelda).

Just buy a new 3DS instead of picking up a Like New one... it's only $15 more.

Alice, Red Faction, and whatever else are all mediocre games at best. You're not really missing anything, with the exception of DS2.

NO

Ocarina is one of the greatest games of all time, but do you really want to spend $250 on something you played over a decade ago? After the month or so you put into the game and do everything there is to do in the game you're going to have one hell of a dusty 3DS.

Wait until it has an actual library of games. By then there might be a new version of the hardware that is actually worth getting.

Great points for sure.... I am a diehard Zelda fan, with Ocarina being my 2nd favorite of the series. However, as you mentioned, it is the only thing worth owning the system for right now. I have played OoT so many times that I feel I can wait a while longer to play it again and I may benefit form a better deal down the road or perhaps a slick Zelda or Mario bundle around the holidays. I also have yet to pick up games that I am interested in such as MK, LA Noire, Dead Space 2, Infamous 2, Killzone 3, etc. Ive been waiting for great prices on these while plowing through some of my backlog. I did trade all the stuff I did, including my LE God of War red PSP bundle (which netted me $100 btw) with the intention of grabbing a 3ds, but upon some further studying I have come to realize some issues with the system that may hinder my enjoyment.

Yep, that's what I'm waiting on too. By the time that happens it should actually have a decent library of games and anything good released this year that isn't published by Nintendo (besides the stuff that no one wants like Steel Diver) should be budget priced.

It still doesn't make any sense to me why people think they'd do a price drop when they release all their first-party titles. Yes it makes sense now when there's nothing, but this holiday they'll sell systems regardless of the price due to their line up. So if you're waiting for a price drop, it's gonna have to go into next year. As for new revisions, that's even more far away.

It's always been an issue of how long you're willing to wait. 1.5 years is a bit long in my book, and it's not like it's a $250 investment with no return. You can still trade in/upgrade to the newer down the road. You should know your spending habits by now to make an easy decision.

That's definitely the case with me. I've bought every console/handheld within a month of launch since PS2 came out, and I plan to do the same with Vita. There's nothing really in any of the cases which made me say "man I wish I'd waited" (even though DS Phat was a terrible piece of hardware).

I get where you're coming from, but i have honestly wished I'd waited on a few systems the last few years. The DSi comes to mind as does the PSP. Its not necessarily the price drop/system revision Im waiting for, tis more the special edition systems that come down the pipeline. Im still holding out hope for a slick gold Zelda branded 3ds for the Zelda anniversary. I honestly feel Nintendo will roll something like this out around the holiday and I will jump all over something like that. If Mario Kart, Super Mario, and RE revelations were out right now, id jump in without hesitance!

I hear you on that, brewin. It would be cool to own one of these special edition systems, but I can't justify the prices when I already own one console that works just fine. If I were in the market however and a special edition bundle was nearing, I'd definitely pick it up without hesitation regardless of price.

And instead of price drops, it looks like bundles are the current scheme even when it's not a special edition or special holiday sale. Sony announced three bundles for the PS3 that include games in Europe. And we saw the Black Ops bundle here just right around E3. For once, it seems like the retailers are artificially dropping the price with their gift card deals and everything. This generation is certainly first time we've seen it.

Exactly. As fast as prices drop now I see no reason to jump in on launch day. A few years ago I would have had a different opinion, but with the savings and crazy LE bundles that come out I have learned to be a little more patient. Its not as if the systems are going anywhere. I will still own a 3ds at some point. But as much as I want one NOW, I would much rather wait in case of a SICK bundle rather than buy now and wish I would have waited when said bundle comes out!

Eh, I don't find a single console bundle they've released here enticing. Only thing I'd really want was the CC:FFVII PSP or the Xilia PS3, which we're never seeing (nor would I pay the stupid asking price for those).

Despite my never touching or intentionally messing with them, my consoles seem to get scratched or dirty more often than not. The LEs are nice if you're not gonna use them but playing on them seems a bit of a waste.

Had my red GoW PSP for 2 years and played the hell out of it. Thing was still mint when I traded it in "like new" condition for $100. I wanted a psp when they first came out, but the lineup didnt impress me. That God of War bundle sold me though. After playing the hell out of it for 2 years I was really surprised to see Amazon offering that much for it so I said "what the hell?" I also found those 360 bundles with a game and 2 controllers along with the huge 250 gig HDD really enticing. Got me the MW2 one for $300 and was happy.

Everything said about better bundles/version/systems coming for the 3ds are no doubt true. But I figure the same can be said about computers, tvs, monitors, cars, CELL PHONES, and video game systems. I know this is CAG but for me, a discounted 3ds is CAG-enough. No disrespect to the hold-outs; its just a matter of preference I suppose - if you want it you just have to bite the bullet at some point. Tomorrow is always greener.

Prinny: Do you have a 3ds now? If I was to purchase one now, what games do you recommend other than OoT? Im trying to weigh my options still as I have the 3ds sitting in my cart.... I cant lie, it looks so damn sweet and I want one!

The only thing I own is Ocarina. Had SSFIV3DE but I traded it in to GS. I bought a 3DS at launch for myself, but then my parents bought one for my brother so... yeah I wanna get rid of my black one as that's a massive waste of money having the thing sit there (I have a XL also).

Just bumming my brother's for now; played through Ocarina already and don't want to 100% it right now. He's still slowly going through it. We've GameFly'ed DoA, BlazBlue, and Pilotwings and Steel Diver but I'm not a fighting fan and the others bored the shit outta me. I really can't recommend anything else, lol. A lot of people are buying and trying games they wouldn't have if the library was good (and not liking them), and that's not something I'm willing to burn money on.

Just my bro using it lately. Gonna GF Shadow Wars during 4th of July weekend when we go camping. I'm still waiting for Devil Survivor Overclocked and Cave Story in August.

I see. I have read it is great for DS games due to the slider control enhancing controls of some games. If thats the case though I would want to sell my DSi but I missed the boat on that promo... damn...

Those bundles don't come with headsets. From some reason, they only package headsets with the 250GB consoles.
I'm still waiting for Devil Survivor Overclocked and Cave Story in August.
The only reason I'm even eyeballing a 3DS is for Cave Story. NIS is good to us, so we try to review all of their games if we possibly can. Makes me sick that our old writer left and kept Ar Tonelico Qoga: Knights of Ar'Ciel. :(

Well, for me... I lost my DSi a few months back during a move. It was nowhere to be found afterwards (I still think I'm going to open a box one day and find it, lol). So I was in the market for a new handheld.

Got 25 DS games and 2 quality 3DS games to play on it (OOT and DOA:Dimensions). Prospects are looking bright as well for future titles coming in the next few months (weeks) as well.

I could see if you were only buying 3DS games that it might not be a good value, but with backwards compatibility on (arguably) the best console lineup, well, ever... how can one go wrong paying a $50 premium (post-CAG) over a last-gen portable.

And sorry, while phones are nice, all the games there are pretty bite-size and if I have to play one more title with virtual control sticks and buttons, I'm going to shoot myself. If you want quality RPG and action titles you get a PSP or 3/NDS.

As far as the battery life goes on the 3DS... I must've played Zelda for 4 hours last night and the battery wasn't even on low yet (it was probably almost there). If I go on a long trip where power isn't available (which is like... twice a year) I'll pick up an extended battery for $20. No biggie.

As far as the 3D goes... I really like that Zelda uses the extra processing power when you turn off the 3D to Anti-Alias the graphics (apparently AAX2). I've been switching back and forth as my eyes get tired or while aiming. Luckily they made it really really easy with that 3D slider.

Just a side note, i am so tempted at 3ds right now. On a forum someoen is selling a blavk unit with zelda and ghost recon for 240. I really want oot but I got a feeling Vita will be so much better

I'll probably end up getting both, though I stumbled into a PSP for about $15 a bit after the NGP/Vita was announced, so Vita will probably come second.

Prinny talked me into it. I bit on a used aqua blue 3ds with Ocarina for $249.98. All Amazon credit and ive still got a decent amount of credit left. Sux I waited, could have been playing it tomorrow. Ah well, I guess ill give the woman and kids a lil attention while I can...

I agree with this. I see a lot of people dumping on the 3DS because of the battery and i'm pretty sure they've either never played one, or not used one long enough, because I haven't had any problems with the battery life. Heck its better then a lot of phones, and phone's you always have on! With that being said I do believe eventually they will release an official battery upgrade, or there are many to currently choose from as well. I'm not worried about it myself, but just thought I'd chime in.

The battery life doesnt really concern me as I typically play my handhelds while chillin in bed. I have a dope little game/phone charging stand thats right next to my bed allowing me to charge 4 devices at once. My DSi, psp and both my and my woman's phones all stay fully charged. Its pretty sweet. Got all sorts of lil compartments where we stash games, roaches, lubrication, and all sorts of random trinkets.

I actually don't mind the 3ds battery life. although will admit not playing any 3ds games on it right now, only ds games/3ds shop games. i'm sure they will come out with a model with longer battery life, but i'm pretty satisfied right now and don't regret the purchase.

In those of you that have ordered acceptable, or a game that didnt come with manual or cover, how good was the disc itself?

I want to order this game that is acceptable from Express Media that is acceptable, but I just want the game, since i already have the manuals and cover, just need an upgrade.
